The sublime transcends both the greatest beautiful and the deepest horrible. There are moments in all of our lives when we actually connect with that aspect of ourselves that bears little resemblance to who we think we are (and we are not, owing to the fact that we are not a personality of accepted limitations). And this realization can be a terrifying confrontation with an undiscovered universe of possibilities. (My advice: just own up to the wonder and live accordingly.)
