Don't think Shaq could beat the Klitchsko's. Lol. However i'd like to see what he's like after a year of training under Freddie. Maybe LeBron can join up to. They both can fight David Haye. I'd watch.
This is why people love Ariel Helwani. He listens to the person he's interviewing. He's actually interested in the answers to his questions. I just watched another interview with Roach and the guy is just nodding and waiting for Roach to stop talking so he can ask another question. That makes the interviews so hard to watch. None of that awkward bullshit with Helwani.
@maristsp GSP, Cain Valasquez has cardio for days. Many of the athletes could probably do it, but it's the same as the counter point, can boxers do MMA camps?
thats a complete fucking lie, Lyoto Machida is one of the biggest favourite fighters in the UFC by MANY regardless of race . The reason UFC 100 pulled so many PPVs is because Lesnar was on it and all the fake wrestling lovers wanted to see him fight . He lets his size fight for him but thats another story .
Shaq should become a fighter and make more money in one fight than an entire season of basketball if he is any good. That means not fighting bottom-feeders to make his record look good.
Any professional natural heavyweight s/b able to handle anyone much much bigger than himself.
Hmm, they said that 10 years ago and boxing is still strong lol. MMA almost died not long ago and Dana White saved it. How can a sport almost die when it hasn't been that long since it was created?
nobody cared about mma in 1999 so yeah. that sad part is that mayweather and marquez did less ppv then ufc 100. while boxin has 2ppv a year while mma has like 12
LMAO, you wanna compare PPV number buys? Let's do it. Until an MMA event has reached 2.4 million buys like the Delahoya and Mayweather fight, then you can talk to me, LMAO. You're an idiot of you think boxing has only 2 PPV events every year, you truly just proved yourself to be a Jackass.
Keep trying little man, keep trying lol. Boxing is done? But you clicked a video clearly meant for boxing fans lol. And you didn't even address the 2.4 million buys, hmm wonder why. No brains huh.
yea the the fight with 2.4 million ppv was like 2 years ago. ufc beat mayweather by 5oo ooo ppv and we r just a new sport. and the only reason i checked this vid was cause it said shaq. boxing will be nuthing in 5 years i predict
LMAO, Shaq bwahahahaha. Stop fronting punk lol. They said boxing would die 5 years ago and it's still here going strong. You didn't click this video because of Shaq, you clicked it because you are curious about boxing. 2.4 million 2 years ago, 3 years ago, 10 years ago, UFC still hasn't beaten it. UFC is the new fad and people should have bought it more than boxing but it still hasn't broken the 2 million plateau.
wtf r u talking about ufc 100 had 1.7 million ppv a smashed mayweather. i dont care with they got years ago but ufcs best ppv> then boxing best in 2009
So how come the recent UFC events PPV numbers haven't exceeded what the Lesnar vs. Mir fight brought in when you guys claim that the sport is growing at a frantic pace? You know why? Because MMA will only really be watched if there's two white American guys fighting and that's the downfall of your sport.
Again, can you comprehend what was being said? Where in the statements below did I mention that the best fighters were other than those you just mentioned? I said MMA fans will only be watched if two white American guys fought, lol. Machida and Rua are far more skilled fighters than Lesnar and Mir but no redneck is going to watch the two Brazilians.
im canadian soo yee, but mma is watched by alot of people in the states. and it wasent only cause of lesnar mir it was also gso, henderson bisping and alves
So that pretty much tells me that a UFC event has to have multiple compelling matches in one night just to break over a million PPV buys and we both know they can't produce that kind of card; otherwise, they would do that all the time.
You're mom is a hoe with two penises. She was fingered by her brother and her father impregnated her in the back of a house in a shed. And then you were born.
Ariel Helwani is a stud interviewer. Great job again man.
I really hope Mayweather will step up and take this fight assuming they both win. I don't see it happening. He treasures his unbeaten status too much and won't risk fighting someone he sees as a real threat.
These days people want to know how to protect themselves in a real fight... Boxers just punch and in a real life situation they would get killed by practically anyone because they don't understand the ground game grappling or kicking elbows and knees AND especially take downs.
While what you're saying is true, you can KO someone with a punch much, much quicker than someone can get you on the ground or slap on some kind of submission hold (by which time his friends have come over and stomped you in the back of the head to death with no resistance).
Both have their pros and cons, but I think people want to learn MMA these days simply because it's more exciting (has an edge of 'anything can happen') rather than being afraid of takedowns on the street
Lol, and you should know that a kick can knock you out a lot faster than any punch. Your legs are a lot bigger and much stronger muscle then your arms and with the correct technique, you create a hell of a lot more power then with any punch you can throw.
You also have to be standing at a further distance from the guy you're trying to strike, and your weapon of choice has to travel a greater distance, with more visible clues to your intentions (in a 'real fight' situation) so if you try a high kick, you're more than likely going to end up on your ass getting your face stomped in by a group of people.
Still, if you want to try crane kick your way out of a street fight, then feel free. I'd love to see it here on youtube one day..
I don't know. I feel like MMA is won through brute force while Boxing is won through patience and intelligence.
In boxing, it's not just about the boxers punching each other, it's about the fashion they break them down and win over their opponent. being strategical.
no disrespect to MMA fighters but when I see them grappling or kicking each other in the head, it gives me the impression that the only gameplan they have is to take their opponent down by brute force. I've seen people....
What? Are you trying to say there is no technique with wrestling or jiu-jitsu? There is a lot of stratagy in what they are doing. YOU just don't know what you are looking at. So like most boxers or viewers, you just make some stupid comment about something you obviously have no idea about. Thats like me trying to say molecular engineering is stupid and wrong, when I have no idea what it is. Your disrespecting MMA by making statements.
Well, some MMA fighters seem like they win by brute force (like Brock & Lashley (I've heard other MMA fighters say that)) but others like GSP, Fedor, etc. win by technique, patience, skill and whatnot. I think that ground and pound is what makes MMA look kind of brutish but there is a lot of skill involved with positioning and so forth.
uh you're completely wrong, mma fights are won by patience & intelligence, ever watch lyoto machida fight, or kazushi sakuraba ?, the argument could be made that in boxing the only point is to hit your opponent harder & more times to win, while in mma you have to defend take downs leg kicks, striking, BJJ
they are just to completely different sports and both great to watch
wow, relax. take a deep breath. I'm not trying to tell you that it's a bad sport, i'm just saying it doesn't appeal to "me".
when was the last time you saw a UFC fighter get the need to break his opponent down?
you can't really knock an opponent out with brute force in boxing, if you do, it's called getting lucky because you probably hit him in the right spot. if by brute force, you mean bullying them and breaking them down, until you wear them out and go for the KO, then yea you're right.
Don't think Shaq could beat the Klitchsko's. Lol. However i'd like to see what he's like after a year of training under Freddie. Maybe LeBron can join up to. They both can fight David Haye. I'd watch.
