  • Why do they call it the "Canada line" when the cars are made in Korea?

  • @juliachan1987 because they did get over it

  • They got rubber tires, right?

  • Welcome to the Oriental Express!

  • why is everybody making a big deal out of this?

  • Canada Line opens August 17, 2009

  • september 1rst 2009 will be the opening date

  • Its gonna open on Sept 7 2009

  • Sorry that's 0:26.

  • Wow, is she trying to take a picture of a bug on one of the trains at 0:27?

  • they should have used the same train as Kansai International Airport train Nankai Rapi:t.

  • sorry ... i got a bad feeling about this

  • New train looks ugly. That exterior color is just wrong it looks like unfinished.

  • the cover art looks unfinished... whoever designed it should be ashamed of himself

  • well it represents the mountains and forests as this article said so just deal with it

  • the front cap looks ok, but the train should be painted fully white... match the skytrain and get rid of the depressing grey.

  • you would think they'd at least choose SOME red for a CANADA line. blue and green, what the hell were they thinking

  • exactly. a lot of people think it's a snub to the feds who insisted on the "Canada Line" name of the line as part the federal funding for it.

  • they are nice looking cars, one thing bugs me the fact that korean bulit cars are running on a line called " canada line" the federal govt should made them get bombadier cars bulit in canada

  • ya i agree i like bombardier's trains better

  • @gmcnewlook Yeah I work -worked for Bombardier Transport out of Québec city. We make a great product but it all comes down to the best bid. I've been laid off 5 years ago and still am hoping to find my old friends and build great transportation once again !

  • blue and green are the colours of the city though, and also part of the olympic colours

  • All the underground stations are 50m long and all the above ground stations have provisions to be extended to 50m so they can add a 3rd "C" Car in the middle in the future.

  • why is it so short? only 2 cars!? it looks so ridiculously funny compared to real Metro lines seen on other cities like London, Hong Kong, and Tokyo. lol

  • The Canada Line is going to carry around 100k people a day and the stations will only be 40metres long.

  • Some station platforms are 50 meters long, and some 40m platforms will be extended to 50m in the future.

  • The only problem that I have with it is that I think its ridiculously ugly. Disagree if you like, theres honestly nothing I like about it.

  • it does look ugly , old trians(milleneum or sumthing) look better, canada line trian are like nova buses LOL

  • your also comparing vancouver to cities that have 5 times as many people.........more people, more trains. Plus sky trains always come every 3 to 5 mins, where as the ones in the cities you just listed have little longer waits.
