Turkey is secular, the only thing that will happen if you are gay is to be freed from military obligation. He was even nicknamed as the Pasha (the governor / general of the music), been the most famous and respected singer in Turkey, he performed to almost all Turkish Presidents, PM's of his time, his career was without downfalls. Homosexuality is quite accepted when it comes to artists in Turkey. There are plenty of famous, singers(even transsexuals like Bulent Ersoy), gay designers etc.

Turkey is secular, the only thing that will happen if you are gay is to be freed from military obligation. He was even nicknamed as the Pasha (the governor / general of the music), been the most famous and respected singer in Turkey, he performed to almost all Turkish Presidents, PM's of his time, his career was without downfalls. Homosexuality is quite accepted when it comes to artists in Turkey. There are plenty of famous, singers(even transsexuals like Bulent Ersoy), gay designers etc.

Well, everyone says it is not real islam when they see some Muslims doing wrong, but the truth is Islam is what muslims are. Turks are the biggest nation who are not even remotely semitic(arabic) but muslim anyway, they do not know arabic so they easily ignore stuff that does not make sense in their culture. That is why most Arabs see Turks as infidels. Anyway, my point is, islam is not tolerant in its nature, violence is permitted, if Turks understand it, I do not think they would follow.

Most people do not have any idea what is written in Kuran, do you have any objections on that ? I don't think so, ok, next, do you know the statemens in Kuran tells Muslims to not be friends with Jews and Christians, not to trust them ? I don't think so.
