@Alexecutioner Was it a line input from the mixing board, or captured with a device. I've been using the Zoom recorder since it's fairly portable and lets me just work with a sound file once done. Seems to be decent enough as I can just stand it on a tripod in the back of the room and not worry about what the camera ends up picking up.

@dthombs to be honest im not sure. i know he had some of his own mics on stage so i think he was recording the show on his own aside from the PA. i will have to ask him. i've been looking into some portable sound recording equipment for our shows as a reference. how do you like the zoom? its one of the ones i've been reading about. good quality? got any recording samples?

@Alexecutioner The zoom has been good. Much better than the onboard mic of the camera anyway. Check out my channel in the Concerts playlist and check out the latest Untombed and Scalpel videos. I think those show it off the best. I could probably get better results if I knew anything about sound balancing.
