The Russian guy in this clip (9:06) is Andrew Divoff, (Mikhail in 'Lost' and the Djinn in 'Wishmaster'). I don't see why anyone could claim Joe Lara is a good Tarzan! He may be pretty and look the part, he's obviously an ex-model, but the man simply can't act. Really. He can't act even the simplest of scenes. Sorry but he's dreadful.
i don't know which tarzan i am trying to find, but he lived in the city with jane and her father came around alot and she tried to get him to wear regular clothes.i can't think of it.can someone help me?thanks
This film you are talking about is "Tarzan in Manhattan" and I have a clip called "Montage - Tarzan in Manhattan (1989) " on Youtube that should satisfy your curiosity.
...and some studio absolutely wasted money on this garbage. Lousy acting, lousy effects, lousy all 'round. God the '90s just had too many bullshit shows!
That lady is Lydie Denier and she played Jane, an environmentalist scientist, in three season of the Wolf Larson "Tarzan" series from 1991 to 1994. In a few episodes she even got into a two-piece jungle skin and many other episodes have her in exotic attire.
Unfortunately, the only place the complete series is available on DVD is France and (foolishly) it doesn't have English subtitles.
Worth noting is the second season episode "Tarzan the Hunted" with 1960s Tarzan Ron Ely as the villain.
They definitely should start showing these shows again. Actually, they should start showing all the late '90 shows again. They beat the crap out of the TV shows nowadays.
@LetsPlayDMods he was a FANTASTICLY GIFTED ACTOR and i don't know why they cancelled the series so abruptly......this amazingly handsome athletic man has a marvellous singing voice -- very little that he CAN'T do. check out joe lara in youtube and i think he has at least one singing clip.
They can't LetsPlayDMods because as shown, the younger generation rule the ratings.
Trust me, I would be all up on Trazan the Epic Adventures, The Adventures of Sinbad, Xena Warrior Princess, Hercules The Legendary Journey, Mutant X, hell even Beastmasters first 2 seasons were good.
The only place in the world where the entire series has been released on DVD is Holland. They do have an English soundtrack and the image quality is first class. Takes some tracking down though.
I don't mean to be rude Rogier, but your life hasn't been very long. I agree that parts of it are a little hokey, but there are plenty of things out there much, much worse than this. Try an episode of "Baywatch" or the "The Jerry Springer Showh" for starters.
No, but you did say "sick and twisted", so I assumed you meant that. It appears you didn't.
I think you need to get out more - "a joke to all humans"; "the most ridiculous movie/show in all mankind". Thems mighty sweeping statements. I can think of a handful of films that make this look like Palme d'Or material - the whole Ed Wood catalog for starters.
As for it being a mockery. This series was the first live action Tarzan to attempt to recreate Edgar Rice Burrough's original scenarios.
Oh, I try to find some part, when he must to fight against some monster girl who stole a blue stone.... as far as I remember... :/
