This is a good priced radio.I have the old cobra 19 ultra picked it up at a flea market for $5 thing does 8 watts an thats not bad. I like the older older model metter cause of the signel meter. As for the newer models they are also well put togather an build....
Nice CB I see you were in my neck of the Woods I live in Fredericksburg VA. I been to that WAL Mart many times. I'm thinking about getting back on the Bands I got a 600 watt booster with a AM/FM/SSB galaxy 2100 still have my setup packed away I bought back in the 80"s and got out of it in 1992. I sold my Star Duster Antana but kelp my Rigs including my Ham radio.
Thanks - glad you liked the post. Big stores such as Walmart (known as Asda over here in UK) dont sell CB radios so it's great when visiting the US to see CB radios on sale generally. I like the US Radioshack stores as well but have noticed not so many stock radio gear any more - they seem more interested in Cell phones these days. I'm usually in Fredericksburg once a year with work - it's a lovely place down in the old town with all the antiques shops and restaurants.
@rigsearch Let me know the next time you going back to Fredericksburg, VA. I lived here all my life I was just on the phone with my Girl Friend she wants me too get back in it she loves CB's and Hams ok later Tony
its a pity how you idiots think Asda and Walmart are local stores!
