  • i was just wondering, could this computer run normally fifa 11 or 12, say on minimum graphics and all? ... someone pls reply

  • @UnleashedRageCyber As far as I can see, no. The CPU and the GPU is far too slow.

  • I have it and think it is brilliant

  • which is better asus lamborghini or this one

  • @mczacify Never tried the Lamborghini, but since its from Asus, i guess its a good buy

  • THAZ INZANE!

  • THAZ INZANE!

  • hi , my dad bought this notebook last year and he will give it to me next month..can you guys tell me is this notebook is good for todays game? like fifa 11 and pes 11..thanks =)

  • @Theiinfantry yeah, it can be better with external graphics card

  • You buy a special external graphics card and it can then be used to run better 3D games.

Just a quick one about performance, will it run CS5 smoothly? Thanks

  • @ichbinlesbisch1 I am not sure. I don't have this computer anymore, so i can't even test for ya

  • @ichbinlesbisch1 that will run fine

  • Any idea how the XGP port works?

  • @bowenco I am sorry no

  • this netbook is very good it have 500GB and not 320GB the max. graphic memory is 1600 and not 1900 and the graphic card can play HD i have one too and its best netbook atm. i think

  • @Achmed1984

I have run 3dsmax on a 15.6 laptop who's specs were less than this.

  • That thing on the side that you can't compliment Acer for...

is a new technology that allows you to plug in 3 extra monitors to it... so its better than the hdmi that you want.. im thinking of getting this.. altho im a lamborghini fan lol. is this actually any good as a laptop?

  • hey mate im getting one with 2gb of ram, i wanna upgrade to 4gb does it have 2 slots for ram or just one?

  • @yfzi I have no idea.

  • @yfzi Its dual slot for ram :D

  • so if i buy a dvd drive for it will it be just as good as a normal sised laptop ???

  • @TheRandomguy1995 Very close to it.

  • does anyone no if u can run like word and powerpoint and itunes and stuff ??/

  • @TheRandomguy1995 You can run them all together if you want to!

  • Notebook? Are you sure? I think it's a netbook (not being angry or something). But how ironic, the computer is not fast and it's called Ferrari One.

  • HI!, how about running autodesk inventor for small 3d modelling projects?!?!? can it handle that? then I'd def get one!

  • @Achmed1984 I don't know the specific program, but 3D modelling, i don't think you should get your expectations up. That is not an easy task for a computer.

  • gud day guys... just want to ask.. which one is better.. the acer ferrari one or the acer aspire 1825ptz.. im really confused..can anyone answer me... tnx!!

  • is it possible top play say the like of wow on as i just want something like this to watch youtube and go on the car forum but if it can play wow as well it would be an extra

  • @Civicboy1991 I managed to play The Sims 2 on medium graphics on it, so yes, i think wow should run fine. I have seen wow run playable on normal netbooks. Wich this ain't

  • @The89Lunder thank you very much for getting back to me so fast i have deicide if i cant have a car when i check insurance i will go and buy 1 of these straight away again thank you

  • macbook is better and cooler i play crysis in high !

  • Waaaa 2.4 ghz !???? If this is true I'm getting this!!

  • @TheMacHack I wouldn't say it if it wasn't true ! :-)

  • @The89Lunder lol, but how did you get the 4 gb ram in there? did you install it yourself? because i can't seem to find any with 4gb ram, the highest i've sen is 3 gb

  • that port is for eye finity to conecting up to 3 other screens verry usefull

  • Hey, would you consider the screen size of 11.6" too small if you were to be working on it everyday for making notes etc?

    Thanks

  • @zoidfreak Depends on your work position. If you don't have optimal positions for your work, it can get a little hard on your shoulders and your neck. And make sure to use a mouse instead of the trouchpad for longer work time. But for confrences and notes at classes it is fantastic.

  • Hey nice review, i was wondering if you could help me out on one thing. I've read many reviews for this but a lot of them dont seem to agree on whether or not this computer has a built in bluetooth - some say that it does while other say that there is a button but no actual hardware there.

Secondly the webcam & built in mic, the quality of the webcam seems to be either 1.3MP or 0.3MP - could you please point out which one is correct, & confirm that it does have a functional built in mic.

    thanks

  • @zoidfreak Hi

There is no real answar to many of these questions. Since there is several configurations of the computer. Some has bluetooth, some have not. My version didn't have it.

And yes in all models there is a build in mic, and 1,3 MP cam.

  • :l FFS all you did was criticise it!!! a week to get used to the keyboard? umm OK, try using most other netbooks which have keys half the size of the ones on this. omg i mean, the keys on this thing are larger than that of most desktop keyboards!!!

  • @MEareCAT Yes, i did give this computer a hard time. At the price og 5000 danish kroner. Or around 900 USD you expect this computer to be very good, Wich it isn't.

The keyboard has large buttons yes, but ther is no spacing or anything between the keys, and that can take a little time getting use to.

  • Its a Ferrari? lol

  • I really like your review!=)

I think I' going to buy this computer cause it's cheap and lokes like it's powerful!!XD

  • wow very nice review. i'm gonna subscribe :)

  • @lipslicer hardly a nice review. All he did was point out negatives.

  • hey how much does it cost??please answer..tnx

  • @hambacon13 Prices changes in many countries. But i have converted the Danish price to Amarican Dollers, there from i am sure you can get it converted to your own currency, if you arent from the US :-D

    754,7 USD

  • The dock connector is for Eyefinity. They were soooo right to include that. Do some reading before you review a piece of tech......

  • dude nice review. can you tell me what a 9-call ofr this computer runs for and if a usb to hdmi cord exists

  • @sodaaddict56 There is no telling. Prices in denmark is sky high on batteries. So check a computer store where you live. And no there is no HDMI to USB adapter

  • bloody hell, people will buy anything these days huh. i have all the confidence that the nerdiest geek out there that can afford a ferrari won't even buy one of these. not because they can afford a faster computer, but coz they're not a sucker.

  • Very nice review and i liked your reviewing style may i add!

I was in a position where i needed a new notebook and the power, size and price of the Ferrari One interested me greatly but as you pointed out in this video the lack of dvd drive and hdmi port really put me off!

I know this isn't a netbook but if i ever wanted to get a product the size of one but with power then this would be my only choice at this time. It costs alittle more then a netbook but your getting more for your £'s

  • so... about 3.5 hours of life is normal on this PC? i got it yesterday, and i got scared my battery was weak.

  • @mgsisbest13 you didn't expect to get this on the first charge did you. Read the manual, there is some instructions on how to optimize the batterys performance!

  • do u know what resiloution webcam it is and how much hard drive dose it have????

  • @harryipodtouch sure, the webcam has 640x480px. And the harddrive is 250 GB large. Witth approx 10 GB reserved for system restore

  • @cotyslick If you don't have anyting nice to say, then stfu your self.

  • @The89Lunder he isnt saying anything good but w/e

  • you sound alot like this forraign exchange student in my shcool from check republic

  • @cotyslick I can asure you i am not. Have never been in Check republic.

  • its XGP port for eyefinity.....

  • @TripleSevenGaming ...no need to get confrontational dippy...chill out for gods sake. everyone i know who has this calls it a notebook....acer calls it a notebook...all the reviews i've seen call it a notebook...i've just bought one and i'm calling it a notebook. if chris pirillo calls it a notebook thats good enough for me. boo hoo, it doesnt have an optical drive...no friggin deal. if microsoft told you to stick your hand in a fire would you listen to them?

  • @TripleSevenGaming Dude...this is a notebook. a netbook is a cheap, less powerful computer usually with a crappy Intel Atom and still runs windows xp or even worse...windows 7 starter. the specs on this thing make it too good to be a cheap netbook. come on... AMD X2 Dual Core? this thing is better than my desktop, lol.

  • Great Review. The "Acer thingy" next to the VGA is a "Acer Eyefinity" adapter. It allows dual screens but using AMD SLS technology to make the reactions perfect and movement between screens easy.

  • i dont think you understand.. hdmi is different from an xgp in terms of use... hdmi is just a graphics/sound out.. while xgp allows an additional hardware.. in many case an external graphics card to communicate with the laptop vice versa as hdmi doesnt have the band width that pci-e x16 have (XGP is an external pci-e)...

you connect a graphics card that you cant fit inside a laptop thru it.. not a monitor or tv

  • that port is the XGP port for external video card.. i dont know how you cant complement acer for that

  • @machoptics I don't see why such a "monopol" port is needed. Why not HDMI?

  • @The89Lunder That is not an Acer proprietary port. It's an Eyefinity port, which is technology from AMD/ATI. Lets you connect 3 displays and makes Windows see them as one SLS (single large surface) with the combined resolution of all 3.

Needless to say how awesome that is

Oh and make sure you know WTH you're talking about before pretending to "review" something. This is also directed to your excitement about it having an HD3200 GPU, which is just ATI's counterpart to Intel integrated graphics.

  • Have you seen an Intel Integrated graphics run Sims 2 in almost full graphics. Or Crysis on low graphics at 16 fps.

  • If you look at the size, yes it is a netbook, but with the amount of power it has, i wouldn't call it a netbook. It has too much. It can run away from brandnew desktops. And trust me, I have testet it!

  • You can hear that is is on if you don't listen to music. It is the same noise from the fan that is in pretty much every netbook.

You can hear it a little, but not much!

  • i thought it was a netbook but it came to me you cant call it a netbook cause all netbooks use an atom processor

  • It is not the processor that defines a netbook. But its qualifications.

A netbook is small, light and cheap. And it is only meant as a computer for thoose who just write letters and surf their facebook and so on.

This computer is small and light, but it is expensive. And above that, it has a truckfull of horse power.

  • It sure has blown me away. I was expecting a slow netbook, but it really is extremely strong. Only hardcore games can make it cry. Photo and video editing is really just a another task for it, this video is edited on the netbook, and took about 5-7 min. to export to a 480p video. And the video is 9 min long.
