Couple of the commenters here show total ignorance of the history here in the U.S. The indigenous peoples of many different cultures were surviving here for eons before the european invasion. They knew how to respect the land, live with cycles of nature. Read up about Indian Removal Act of 1830 and Cherokee Trail Of Tears, and many other injustices....

Some historians say they migrated from the north to the Appalachian mountains in prehistoric times, others say they didn't arrive until the 13th century, and eventually went furtherer south into the Muscogee creek territory along the Mississippi. My grandma was full blooded Cherokee and my dad was a quarter Muscogee Creek.
