i actually am not a big fan of this version. When he did it live, he sang it with more vibe and funkiness. the acoustic soung gave him more of an edge, and could have probably won him American Idol. So, if he recorded it like he played it making it he's own, he could have taken it. but still Kanye takes this. But Just

this is good but there is NO WAY it's better than Kanye's because Kanye's comes from a completely different perspective than Kris. I doubt kris dealt with losing his mother and fiance in the same couple of months so he doesn't have to emotional baggage to make this song as powerful. It's a good version but anyone who says it's better than Kanye's is an idiot.

Well, the thing is that if you heard Kanye live on American Idol, you could tell that the studio changed his voice A LOT. I mean, he's a great artist, no doubt. & Kanye of course is a hell of a song writer. But Kris does have a better voice. & I guess it depends what kind of music you like. I like both, but this song never gets old no matter how many times you listen to it.

well yea, thing about that whole album is that Kanye was never trying to be a singer but was going through a lot and the best way to project emotion is through melody so of course Kris is the superior singer but doesn't bring as much of a story to it you know? Like i said tho both versions are great

Read above comment, Kanye does have the vocals to do it live as well as Kris, they are different perspectives but Kanye's live version is so choppy, he isn't a good vocalist live, well that form the videos and the live performances I've seen anyway..
