did u go to setting and mark the one that says, "Orientation"? You can do that by goin to "Settings" then "Sound and Display" and mark the one that says, "Orientation" then it should work.
After that try goin to your texting screen and rotate the phone, then touch the text box that says, "Type to compose", then it should work. It will not work if the keyboard is out. If this doesnt work then try calling T-Mobile or the HTC company, you could also try re-powering the phone. And thanks for deleting that comment. :)

Actually for this update/link you dont need to jailbreak it, u just place it inyour sd card, and follow the directions. I would know cus mine isnt jailbroken and i was able to download this, so theres no need to jailbreak.

Actually the truth is, the phone works even better now. This update enhanced the phone completely and it saves battery like crazy, but i will warn u tat it takes a longer time to charge now, but its worth it cus it saves alot of battery. One thing i will recommend is for you to turn off the GPS in the "settings" when yur not using it cus, it will and can waste battery if u leave it on. =)
If you update it , does tht take off the unlock/phone network?

From what i know of, yes it'll still work. Only if you were living in the UK then no, but even the UK has its own version of the update.
