  • Logging is the most dangerous job in the US.Check out dol.gov. you lying fuck face.

  • Dropping towers is almost as much fun as Christmas morning!

  • ive been climbing towers for a year now, love it!! definately not a job for just anyone, especially when u get up towards 800'!!

  • @superbiker1986 Hows it pay?

  • @McGillicutty88 depends on the work we are doing. i work for a company that works on cell towers, tv towers, wind turbines. pay usually ranges between $14/hr - $35/hr. all depends what kinda tower we are on n the work that needs to be done.

  • I do do this

  • i climb towers check it out i only got one vid so far cause my technical disabilities prevent me from doing more so far but stay with me i got some good shit when i can figure out how the hell to post it chadgoforthlmntech

  • Fucking dangerous because you have a bunch of dumb ass meth heads thinking they know shit about ironwork, but can't really do shit.

  • OMG, i know someone who does this job and i feel for him.. i couldn't do something like this... hell 2 the no !

  • This is YouTube (for videos), not Slideshow Tube. Junk.

  • @SageSofa and that music completely sucks ass. how about some slayer or slipknot instead of some half ass reggae BS?

  • Comment removed

  • The Kid Representing Chi-Town! Sayin' Stay Safe ALL! Love the music and video! keep it coming!! =)

  • i love my job too as a tower climber, i work for my self, putting up towers and doing mantance on them, i love every minute of it. lawrence hobbies llc...nms.....662-597-1871...

  • Who is the Kentucky boys that u are talkin bout... since Im from that great state

  • Yes I can do it, dear colleague! :) nice movie!!!

  • I have been doing tower work for 39 years. I'm 66 years old and my recent videos on my channel indicate that I haven't climbed anything in about a week. I don't consider tower work dangerous in that I've never even come close to falling and have never hired an experienced tower-hand. I have trained everyone who has ever worked for me and none of them have ever come close to falling either. Tower work is not a game,. Its an occupation requiring awareness.

  • im working this job everyday for 6 years and like this job but in winter it can be very dangerous and very cold

  • To anyone who says they couldn't do that you are reminded why you do it every time a paycheck comes in.

  • Typical american hero stuff, I worked on the pylons for 30 years its a job get on with it

  • All day, every day. I need a vacation.

  • THIS WOULD BE FAR BETTER WITHOUT CRAP BACK GROUND CRAPPERS TOILET PEOPLE WHO HAVE TONE DEAF EARS FOR MUSIC! AND RUIN EVERYTHING!

  • Try Alcohol-Related Impairment Fatalities

  • Awesome video! Props to the guys who have the balls to do this job!

  • Nope couldn't do it ...lol I die of a heart attack before I got 30 feet up!!!!!

  • This is mostly just a slide show and there isn't much to see.

  • First off I wouldnt do this shit. Second off you people need to stop having dick measuring contests. Once you reach a certain height death is certain. There are no records or trophies for this shit. You do the job and get home safe. I am so sick and tired of military and climbers trying to one up each other.

  • @Jononutoob Yep. The only difference between falling from 150 and 1500 feet is the amount of time you have to think about hitting the ground. As you said results are the same. Been there, done that. Tower woork that is. Saw a crew at CH 11 Raleigh, NC greasing the guys. Now that's scary stuff. Riding a cart up the guy. Just nuts. That tower was approx 1800 ft. Great view though :<}

  • Been there done that. Different kind of lifestyle.

  • screw that line an anntena bullshit im doin lte upgrades in texas it sucks

  • its all about the benjaminns,, does it pay REALLY good?

  • someone loves himself

  • little cell guys . add at least 800ft on top of those towers.. and youll find me on the mast

  • If I met one of these guys in person, I would shake their like a veteran and say " You are what makes America great, you are the women and men who go out and do their job 9-5 hard work, we need more people like you, thank you sir/madam". So, to those tower workers, thank you, you guys seem fearless and I bet you are.

  • @PS360Million Thanks, but I want you to know it is a lot more than 9-5 we get 65-80 hrs a week.

  • @smrp1984 Wow, thats incredible, thank you for your work.

  • i have lots of respect for these guys. My stomach would curl up about half way. Plus if i did somehow manage to make it, id probably still smoke a Joint at the top, regardless of the safety issues...

  • song killed it

  • ALL in the name of better cell phone service.

  • I lost 6 good friends in my 7 years as a tower bum....GETTING UP.....WHOOOOOP

  • the song goes well much respect for tower climbing

  • My hat's off to anyone who can do this job. I get dizzy just watching it.

  • My hats off to all those who climb towers for a living...thanks to you we have cell service, television, radio, and all manner of public saftey officals have communications. Yours is a thankless job but one we could not function without. Thanks guys...your work is appreciated.

  • @jdow86 Have you ever caught the people who shoot at you?

  • Actually, I'm pretty sure that "Reservoir Dog" is a more dangerous job, you need to infiltrate a group of highly professional criminals without getting caught, very dangerous.

  • Ummm...you spelled "doubtful" wrong, there's only one "l"...

  • All i am thinking about is their health insurance, which is probably astronomically through the roof.

  • THATS INSANE DUDE YOU GOT NUTS THATS AWESOME!!

  • Oh look at me I'm on a boat! HOW DANGEROUS! Fucking pussies, I go onto a boat every day just as a place to fuck girls I don't want to take to my house. Now THIS shit, is fucking crazy, and is definitely more dangerous than a few waves.

  • Guess what sweetie?? Its take your daughter to work day.

  • you dont have any videos of stacking? your not a tower hand if you havent stacked or done broadcast fella! step your game up with these cute pictures of monopoles hahahahaha therefore you are a tower technician

  • Sure are good looking dude!

  • i think that asshole should learn to spell

  • This is not a spelling B fucker

  • I been Climbing 42 Years It's a Ball!

  • /watch?v=gPvCuc1_mgM

  • I served in active duty as a grunt for 4 years and did combat in Iraq. Ive been shot at, blown up, wounded twice, and was constantly thinking I was going to be hurt everyday. I would rather take all that over again then do what the tower climbers do once! lol I dont know how you guys can climb that high. I respect tower climbers for the dangers that they face. The Stairway to Heaven video of tower climbers creeped me out those guys were really high.

  • @WRXSubaru08

Your brain can be easily trained to be calm and cool while be shot at, but if you are afraid of heights - you probably always will be!

  • @ExpertOfSound If u think its so easily trained then you havent been shot at before....Ive trained on heights and got over them too. But that was only 70' in the air not thousands like these guys.

  • @WRXSubaru08 Welcome home man

  • @WRXSubaru08 once you climb and like it you just wanna climb higher and do more. once you get used to it you'll start takin pictures hangin upside down and all kinds of stuff, the view in person is unmatched and its peaceful..im not just talkin out my ass i'm a AF cable dawg we climb alot

  • @AlecKassMusic The army isn't really a job, though.

  • @cannedshoes your a dumbass if you think its not a job, military people work more hours in 3 days then you probably do in a week or more.

  • @AlecKassMusic actually i heard once that soldiers in iraq had a better life expectancy then ppl of the same age not in the military.

  • @keggerous What's your point? Anyone can get hit by a car walking out their front door. When a service members life ends on deployment, it's likely because he or she got fucked up in a blast or shot at. And what part exactly about being in the military doesn't classify it as a legitimate job? Tell you what, I'd rather spend my days driving to a 9 to 5 job than spending weeks out in the middle of bumfuck nowhere running around in 70 pounds of gear with my head cut off. Have some respect.

  • @CarbonFiberCopy the army isnt a job because they dont really do anything . . . half the time they sit there with their guns and run around like dumb twats. if they made an honest living like building or producing goods or food and we the tax payer didnt have to flip the bill, then i wouldnt mind so much. a real job is based on capitalism, the military is socialized warfare paid for by the tax payer . . . i dont wanna pay for that shit either.

  • @keggerous And what sort of job do you have that outs you on such a high pedestal?

  • @CarbonFiberCopy i cook in a kitchen for 9.00$ an hour

  • @keggerous oh yay, a liberal.

Don't disrespect soldiers. They protect your sappy hippie ass.

No matter what you want to believe, if we didn't have soldiers and our military might, shit would be alot worse.

    Ass.

  • @DanteWolfwood that was true during the revolutionary war and ww2 but not now . . . killing randon arabs doesnt protect anyone. we'd be better off without them and the drama they cause

  • @keggerous soldiers dont make shit the money is wasted on 3rd party contractors that build the planes and such they just waste monst of the shit they build doesent work so they ask for more money to try and fix it if the government would hold them responsible for the shit equipment they built instead of jus buyin it anyway they would save a ton and fighting is a honest liveing not there fault the leadership has there head up there ass leadership meaning congress

  • I wouldn't describe it as a DANGEROUS job; just a SCARY job.

  • @Liam0125 Are you kidding me?? That's dangerous!

  • I'd love to see how many rig pigs could do a job like this and then keep that "I'm a work'n man" superior attitude, afterwards.

  • lol do you think you could do this doubtful it says at the end there..... well that is exacly what i do for a living, ive climbed 400 ft cellphone towers and had to build boom systems up there, and then walk on it after, and tie myself off to it......... so ya ive had my fair share of crazy ass work in that field, next month im going sky diving, therell be videos of that :)

  • NIce video. Sweet song choice!!

  • Awesome video, my dads been climbing for just about 11 years. I start next week I can't wait.

  • Nice tard helmet

  • @MrJackmeof that tard helmet is required by OSHA, girl. Like he said your probably dont even work a physically demanding job if a job at all, I have the exact hard hat and it probably cost more than you lil "Cock" trucker hat from steve and berrys and your wireless keyboard you Jack off on so get a life fuck face. Im a Mid West tower climber and have mad respect for anyone thats been in the industry and hasnt pussed out.

I Love being a Tower Hand **"All or Nothin"**

  • i was cooked my a million and a half kilowat dish in roswell on an 1800' gise tower

  • the brotherhood of steel riggers, not the stupid cellular BS, the big steel, tall towers, broadcast, are some of hardest working, brave, and devoted guys i have ever known. U know who you are! U wouldnt want to pick a fight in a bar full of riggers.

  • all risks and hazards included, it IS the most dangerous job out there.

  • sweet video buddy! i am a fellow rigger myself. Been riggin for 5 years now. Did some cellular too, thats the worst!! bugs, birds, people shooting, its rediculous! and thats just the exterior hazards, not even pertaining to the work. I worked around a 4bay ERI antenna pushin 120KW for 2 hours, i sh!t blood for 2 days...

  • Little sensitive about the whole OSHA thing man. Relax, we get it, it's a dangerous job. Oh sorry "THE MOST DANGEROUS" job in the US. Grats. Now go pat yourself on the back for doing it. I mean good god man, could you possibly be more aggressive in response to any comment on here? No seriously, I wanna get you worked up so your head assploads.

Wish the job were a safer one, but those that work in the field don't need an asshat like the OP draggin his knuckles about it.

  • Sweet pics!! I've been doing this for a number... of years too. Best job ever, But it teaches respect for our enviroments and only the real tough nuts stick it out. Thought I've seen it all, but I learn something new every day. I started as a tree climber too, but I find the safety reg's much high standreds in this industry. There is a reason for that! Pacificrigger.

  • Thats funny you said bee sting. I've spent the last 10 yrs swatting bees up on a tower it sucks climbing away from them. Iam allergic to them i have to have an epe pen in my grunt bags. being a tower hand rocks.

  • Climbing towers is a brotherhood not just a job. Riding a helicopter 100 - 200ft to stand on a flat sturdy pole, that ain't shit. Yeah there is electricity but shit, Try standing 1000ft up wind blowing at a constant 25 to 30 mph with 45 to 50 mph gusts standing on a 2 1/2 x 2 1/2 angle with 50 lbs of gear, tools and equipment while stabbing an 8ft 40lb antenna. So yeah this guys right, you tell me about a job you think is more dangerous I'll tell you to go #%?! yourself.

  • @Farbehind13 if you were a tower hand then you would know that they don't sting on the tower. I have been climber for 7 years and have never been stung.

  • I'm a tree climber do alot of crazy stuff in the tree working in the ropes. I'm sure you've seen pics of arborists I do it on the side. I'm interested in maybe doing this I love to climb. Right now I'm currently an operating engineer and getting burnt out on it. I have a strong mechanical and electrical knowledge and even hold an amateur radio liscense. Please tell me how to get started or who to talk to. Hit me up on facebook and check out some of my tree climbing pics atuttle88@hotmail.com

  • Cool Video A monkey can climb its what you do when you get there Transmission Lineman We do it HOT 765KV I would rather get off a chopper on a tower than climb it.

  • I wouldnt say "more skilled", just a different trade.

  • Is that a DAP head mount in one of those pictures with a ceragon dish

  • For all you idiots who think your trade or even worse a trade you haven't even worked, by saying climbing towers is the most dangerous job in the U.S. Key term being US! Is a fact put forth by OSHA. It's not just another opinion of some douche bag that talks shit all over youtube. Unless you have a higher authority than OSHA keep you ignorant remarks to yourself and stop poluting the web with misimformation

  • @jdow86 what bout the military

  • @jdow86, Great video footage. I've been working at heights fot 20 years, the last 13 years on towers. Mostly in Canada but also in the US. The stats on tower riggers is not just OSHA stats, there also by DBI Sala, Miller, North, Capitol Safety, Etc. We have the balls to do what no other people can dream of doing so your lives can be easier. We do the most dangerous job in the world. RESPECT the people who make your life comfortable! !

    Pacificrigger!

  • Stick with the railroad jack ads. Im a tower hand I love it but railrod vs tower dog you got it made unless you enjoy climbing.

  • Fukushima reactor technician most dangerous job...

  • how is this job more dangerous then line workers? Lineman are put in more harms way because they are messing with large amounts of electricity. Lineman are obviusly more skilled if they are playing with a greater danger and not haveing as many fatalities? right?

  • Hey I took a shit off a tower once I think I might fit I'n with that crew

  • Great choice of tune!!

  • Oh yeah, the tower company I worked for sent the crew I was on to a job site that was started by another company. We had to replace a safety climb cable on the ladder. Anyway the crew that was there wouldn't come back to the site because someone kept taking pot shots at them while they were in the tower. We actually had a coun ty sherrifs deputy hang with us while we completed the work.

  • Who the hell shoots a gun at a tower worker? What the hell

  • I design modifications for towers and then climb up and inspect the installation after the project is complete. My harness setup is a little different than the one here. I use a positioning lanyard on my saddle d-rings. The two toughest times to do this job are in the middle of winter and the middle of summer. Looking forward to Spring. Stay safe!

  • Naa the most dangerous job is fixing power lines from a helicopter

  • @periisgay thats actually the safest way to fix power lines

  • @periisgay Modern Marvels? -.-

  • In regard to the end of the video, it asks if think we could do it. Being certain I would never consider doing it, I'll never say I could do it. Hell I don't like being at the top of a tall barn roof. Though being atop a tall building where I can stand flat footed or sitting in an airplane doesn't bother me.

  • Other factors that lead to tower climbers deaths are falling tool and nuts and bolts. Getting smashed by out of control tower sections. I've also heard of Tower climbers being shot at while in the tower. Also wasps/bee's, if your alergic to bug bites don't be a tower climber, they are attracted to the EM emmissions.

Tower climber for six years :) Best times I've ever had!

  • @Gonwyld don't forget about RF poisoning. An 8' microwave dish will cook you in about 30 minutes. Also you can die from suspension trama AKA "harness hang syndrome". If you fall and are saved by your tie off lanyard, you beteer hope someone rescues you within 15 minutes, or you're dead due to lack of blood flow. Turkey vultures attack climber too. I can verify the shooting. I was working in CT last winter and took fire when I was on a cell site, doing quality control for t-mobile(tiger team).

  • @jdow86 So why & who would expect a worker, spend enough time in full power & strength RF radiation, to point it would injure the worker? Perhaps death in 15 minute is more merciful, than an hours long death from fluid build up in the lungs., if it's your time to leave the mortal world.

  • @jdow86 Do you know why climbers are getting shot at? Is there some sort of motivation? I'm just curious. Thanks.

  • @jdow86 people shoot at you? Thats fucked up, you giving them cell reception, dish, whatever and they shoot at you. Wow talk about biting the hand that feeds.

  • @Gonwyld oh yea. and heat stroke. theres no shade 200' in the air.

  • @jdow86 Why would people shoot at you in the US? Who would it be? Just curious.

  • @Gonwyld People will actually shoot at them? WTF!

  • @Gonwyld on one hand i have a job opportunity to start climbing and the other hand a job working railroad dispatch. both pay about the same but the railroad is sitting in front of a computer and working crazy shifts. i also have to take a coarse that i have to pay $1200 to get on with the railroad. i always hear "if you have a chance to get on with the railroad, take it.... BUT... i wanted to ask someone how good of a gig climbing is.

  • @Gonwyld what do you mean by being shot at lol whos shooting at you when your up there

  • @iLikeToDrum1 It means birds and shit cums on their face, or their co-workers are really horny when they climb and take a quick masturbation break.

  • @Gonwyld i feel the need to congratulate you cause you got huge balls

  • @Gonwyld What kind of psycho is going to shoot at you while you are up there? My God, there are some real nut-jobs out there. I had one of those other "most dangerous" jobs but this one is by far the most dangerous stuff I've ever seen. Does the tower sway in strong winds?

  • @Gonwyld How's the pay?

  • Lumping all fisherman together and lumping all loggers together really doesn't make sense. Compare Alaskan crab fishing by itself with tower climbing. Or timber falling with tower work. The problem is that OSHA lumps a lot of jobs together into one job class. I'm sure that there are other individual jobs that would also be a lot more dangerous than the larger job classification that they are put into. I wish that they were all safe jobs.

  • @m8s4lif bitch to OSHA about that. I'm just relaying a fact. period.

  • I climb towers and I thank its the funest job I have ever had aside from the climbing that part kicks my ass every time but thats just me.

  • Just curious, besides falling off, what are the other causes of death among tower dogs? Is there a risk of electric shock also, or are the towers pretty safe in that regard? I'm in the shipbuilding industry, but I've always been curious about the work you guys do. Thanks.

  • lol i do this job been doing it for 6 years love it and sad to say iv lost some friends and I my self am very lucky i fell 60 off and landed on my back in OK 5 years later im still doing it

o and i was tied off the safty cable came off the tower reason why i fell

  • @xcountryhanglider really pal i wouldnt be proud of that...just saying

  • lol i do this job been doing it for 6 years love it and sad to say iv lost some friends and I my self am very lucky i fell 60 off and landed on my back in OK 5 years later im still doing it

  • RIP to my brothers in Anniston AL, who didn't make it to the ground alive this past summer.....You lived HIGH and died HARD!!

  • LOVE THE MUSIC! WHO IS THAT. LIKE THE MIX OF REGGA AND METAL. by the way I climb steel for the last 21 years.

  • The only dangerous thing I can see is all the unnecessary junk you people carry, makes me wonder how you get off the ground and do any work. The way I see it, if you're worried about falling off and making a mess on the floor you shouldn't be doing the job in the first place.

  • good vid ,gay ass music

  • @whitbyjet65 wow ignorance is endless. Have you done either of the jobs that you think you know so much about? It's a fact from OSHA based on the number of deaths per 100,000 workers. They do the stats every year. Google it before running your mouth.

  • I doubt this is anywhere near the most dangerous job. The safety employed is very high. Deep sea trawler fishermen face much bigger risks.

  • @whitbyjet65 "The safety employed is very high."

Actually, a lot of these guys do what is called "Free Climbing", or climbing without safety lines in place, because un-hooking and re-hooking their safety gear every few feet is tiring and time consuming. And maybe it's not "the most dangerous job" in your opinion, it is statistically the most dangerous job in the United States, leading in deaths per capita.

  • @SirLionelLeo they may "do" free climbing but its technically illegal you and your employer can be fined and fired from your job if caught. just a little insight there for ya.

  • @whitbyjet65

You are wrong, tower climbing is statistically the most dangerous job in the world. Other jobs less dangerous than tower climbing are: fisherman, truck driver, iron worker, aircraft flight crews.

  • wow... I hope you guys get paid loads of money for doing this haha. There's no way I could do it. I was watching a video of the climb and I got dizzy just from watching it!

  • @NatGil actually I will keep saying that it is the most dangerous job in the U.S. Because its a fact, moron! Know what your talking about before you run your mouth and look like an idiot. Tower climbers have the most deaths per hundred thousand peoplem. Alson you dumbass most deaths are not due to not trying off. You can die from a fall even if your tied off. So if u don't know shut the fuck up! So sick of you know it alls who don't know shit! Learn something!

  • respect..I climbed once a old factory chimneys but its olny 70 meters...

  • Been doing this for a year now, hoorah

  • stop saying this is the most dangerous trade...it's underwater welding, soldier, we are around 5...and only because you cell guys don't like to tie-off, and fall all the time...stay safe...much love...make money...bang-bang!

  • @NatCargil it's not the fact they don't like to wear, it's because if they wear ties it'll take longer to climb, reduces productivity

  • @deathendz I understand your point, but we are more important to our families...I've been working on tall towers since 89...and all I can tell you is to be careful at all times if you continue to choose to free climb...enjoy your holidays brother...

  • oh shit keepit real boyz. were here to fuck shit up. boot soles an ass holes. rrrriiiiiiigggg it.

  • i do this aslwell fro a living. i work for an internet company. there is nothing like being up high. well respected job i can tell ya.

  • Just one word: RESPECT

  • Why so many fatalities in the US? In my homeland only one has ever died on tower jobs.

  • You guys have to much time on the job. Do some work.

  • i want this fucking job!!!, whats this song?

  • I gotta do this next week, yikes!

  • those guys have ballz like Earth no Sun.

  • I did the towers been bout 20 years since much respect for any of you cats climbing :)))

  • I used to work behind a desK. now I work for Precision RF WNY, NJ. THIS IS THE BEST FUCKING JOB IN THE WORLD!!!!!!

  • shit yes . ! ! ! ! i am a new tower climber for a telecommunications comp. that doesnt give me enough climb jobs. . . .fuck i love it .

  • Rep Wasatch electric SLC, UT

  • cool video and song.. i crank it while i climb.. usually no asphalt around, but what my buddy says about taking out the truck sounds cool

  • Comment removed

  • DO I THINK I CAN DO THIS?? I know I can do this cause I have been doin this and iv been doin it good what do u mean ky boys?? I live in so. ky wut part yall from?

  • Good job. Love dropping the tower, we always have to "save" them..

  • forget those guys with huge crabs. we are the elite!
