The best written drama in tv history. That is why the great movie stars wanted to guest star on Ben Casey, and they did. Vince was perfect in the role.
Great intense scene. Those sixties shows were so much better written than shows today. Today, the writers only want to impress with a lot of technical jargon.
Yep. All they know is CGI graphics today. The writers, directors, movie/TV score composer, and actors of the late 1950s and early 1960s, were the best. Talent and brains not to be seen again in this country.
I second that emotion. Sure, the 60's TV airwaves had more then their fair share of silly programs...but shows like this one ("Ben Casey") proved that TV drama could be intelligent, thoughtful, sensitive & provacative...along with being VERY entertaining! THANKS for your insightful comment! :-)
@JubalCalif I appreciate your response. It's great that there are at least 3 of us who appreciate the difference between the television we grew up with and what young people are offered today.
How true! Very well said! I wish more young people would give the classic shows & movies of yesteryear a chance! I think a vast majority of them would be plesantly suprised! Your comments are always a joy to read! :)
