@todesgrab this album was ment to be listened to in its entirety for you to get the whole feeling.its kind of a concept album but yea the silence confuses me too
god... VENOM started black metal, this is true. HOWEVER norwegian black metal was started by Mayhem, a band who was extremely influenced by venom and bathory and so forth. They are two different genres, and the only thing similar is the satanic references and influence that the original black metal scene passed on.
Venom may not be the most Black Metal band around anymore. But they contained all the essence and trademarks it does to this day. If you are really gonna talk about the first real...grim and cold style Black Metal band. I'd say Bathory penned that sound years before Mayhem. Although undeniably...Deathcrush was of huge importance. Gotta be said though...I think Mayhem kinda died with Euronymous.
You Kvlt-heads shut shut up and open your mind. "Pure" black metal has run its course, it's time for bands to try stuff like this. BM should be progressive, not the same thing.
I do think this is black metal. its dissonant, high pitched riffs, chaotic drums and shrieks. I think thats about what you need to call it black metal really, even though its not traditional, hows anything gonna be black metal anymore if you think everything HAS to sound like Blaze in the northern sky or deathcrush?
Concidred that Venom are the official "founders" of BM you should maby listen to what they say and not base your ideas on what the commersial BM are, but the accual BM are.......
Euronymous said it too, you fuck. Besides I listen to both of those bands and I like both of them. But really, Venom didn't start black metal, they just named it. Mayhem gave the genre its sound. It's not like all the early black metal bands sound like Venom. Listen to early Emperor or Darkthrone or Immortal. There is definitely more Mayhem in that sound than Venom.
Besides, I consider Euronymous much more prominent in the genre because he convinced Darkthrone and Emperor to be black metal.
ur a dickhead for uploading 240p. FUCK YOU!

As long as its satanic, it is black metal.......
Drummerdrok666 2 years ago
Yeah. That's what Euronymous said, right? If Euronymous says it about black metal, I abide.
AntiHero1996 2 years ago
....... Venom said it.

I didt say Earonymus did not say it fuck face. when Venom named it, therfor they also categorized what BM it.
Let me just say that MayheM didnt create BM, they made it heavier. But cept it satanic. Thats why it is BM and not extreme metal or whatever.......
Drummerdrok666 2 years ago
Yes, MayheM created it, but they didn't name it, they took the name from Venom's album.

Eternity is not infinite temporal duration. Eternity is timelessness. You will face life as life presents itself, as life is in itself.

Enernity is not infinite, imperial erasion Eternity is timelessness. You will face life as life presents itself as life is in itself.
