  • also I have been taking Tramadol for chronic back pain but I also noticed it lifted my mood greatly & gave me energy & the motivation to do things during the day, without it I sit on the couch & don't do anything. Found out through research Tramadol has about the same chemical makeup of venlafxine & may be similar to Cymbalta & I'm wondering if something like venlafaxine, or maybe Cymbalta, may be what I truly need. I need something to give me a jolt of energy throughout the day & motivation.

  • I have heard venlafaxine works like Tramadol (also heard Cymbalta does too but venlafaxine does it more). I read tramadol & venlafaxine both have anti depressant effects which lift your mood & give you more energy, but I've heard venlafaxine is the absolute closest to Tramadol & makes you feel the same????

  • Use of Venlafaxine can increase eye pressure. According to FDA Medications containing venlafaxine caused a mean heart rate increase of 4 bpm in clinical trials, along with a sustained increase in blood pressure in some..

  • Hi :) I just started taking Venlafaxine XR today. Thanks, your video was very informative.

  • I've been taking Venlafaxine from 5 years and honestly it help me a lot. Never increase 150mg/day (with Medical vigilance) and till now didn't felt any serious secondary effects. What i do need (also with Medical vigilance) is to take 0,25mg of xanax to relax at the end of the day. It's well balance for me, have been working well in my case, but it depends of each person and each level or type of depression. My recommendation is to never take without Medical recommendation and surveillance.

  • @Seichinha Hi, I am convinced that Venlafaxine is a very good drug. Its side effect profile is quite clean and it is a very "complete" antidepressant. However, because I did some urine analysis and, however the results are not really indicative of what is going on in the brain, turned out my serum serotonin was REALLY low, my psychiatrist switched me to a SSRI (Lexapro). Now I'm doing "OK"... I am glad that Venlafaxine is working for you!! And the Xanax helps of course! I wish you good luck!!

  • im thinking about taking my first venlafaxine pill.. but im unsureabout it whether it will relieve me from anxiety, or make things worse.. any advice?

  • @nattensvaffel Hi, as it happens with many antidepressants, at first it can actually WORSEN your symptoms of anxiety and depression... But it normally goes away after two or three weeks of treatment. The thing is, the medicine can or cannot work, depending on many things (your own brain chemistry, metabolism, etc.), but the important thing is to never give up. If it doesn't work, your MD will find the medicine which will work for you... Venlafaxine is certainly a good drug in my experience!

  • You are gorgeous.

  • have been on venlafaxine for about 5 years - 150mg and it worked wonders for me - part of me wishes i never took it but it does. The honest truuth is i don't know how anyone can go through there whole lives without experiencing some kind of depression or unhappiness - you just wouldn't be human.

  • thank you for posting this review

  • i take 325 mg of venlafaxine for 3 months now

  • Thanks for posting this review, I just took my first Venlafaxine pill.

  • @hhslf Do you notice any benefits from it yet? Considering taking my first pill myself..

  • @nattensvaffel I'm still taking it, the benefits have been very helpful for me. But not everyone will respond to a drug in the same way.

  • @hhslf maybee i should give it a shot.. how long until you noticed a difference?

  • So what was the reason for switching from Lexapro to Venlafaxine? Which was more effective?

  • @keithrig Simply, Venlafaxine gives me also a bit more "energy" than Lexapro, which I need, because sometimes I feel really down and venlafaxine was simply a little bit more effective than escitalopram... anyways, the results vary from person to person...
