  • You play alot like jim root

  • you inspire me, you play great on the guitar

  • My mind got stuck, what's the song on 0:44 ? grrrrr I hate when this happens

  • @kalanaiokok I'll see the light tonight of the Supreme

  • @Aniblasfemus thanks mate ;)

  • @kalanaiokok is that you playing. you're great. unless it's someone else.

  • what are you think, which guitar is better - ibanez or esp??

  • After trying a real MIJ ESP.....I have never had this much GAS for one instrument. Time to save up....

  • Man that guitar sounds great

So much clarity through all the strings

  • what amp are you using there man ?

  • Im thinkin about gettin this guitar or an Ibanez RG3550mz Prestige. can someone help me with my decision?

  • @WILLYthePANCAKE have you played a REAL team J. Craft Ibanez Prestige? if not, then your advice means nothing. lol.

  • @ModernProductionss Fair point, i just have an insane love for ESP guitars, but you should have a look at the ESP horizon nt-ii see thru blue or brown fitted with Seymour Duncan JB (B) / '59 (N) p.u

  • @WILLYthePANCAKE i have looked at it. its really nice. but it doesn't have a tremelo.

  • @ModernProductionss oh fair enough, i hate floating trems but if thats what your looking for the then go for it, but try both of them out before you get one though

  • @WILLYthePANCAKE Got that one in red :) But switched the stock Seymor, with emg's-

  • @AnimalRepellent Nice, ive just installed an 81 and 85 into my tele :)

  • i dont like that u call shredding stupid, but at least you have the skills to back it up and show that you can shred. most people who hate on shredding cant do it anyways :P

  • @MrGuitarCoverGuy he didnt call shredding stupid?

  • @NamelessSmile yea he did

  • Nice guitar, and great playing. I'd love to compare one of these side-by-side with my Jackson someday.

  • What kind of amp are you tearin through?

  • that was pretty cool chappers

  • just sounds like a load of old good noise

  • thats so fluid :O

  • i thing esp tried to make a cheaper strat and hit the jacksons model they bothe have alder body ,ebony fretboatd, jband jazz pickups, floyd rose bridge, neck thrue,24 frets, the american jack costo 2-2,5 thousan $ the eps 1,5-2 thousants BUTS ITS A PIECE OR CRAP THE SOLOIST MUCH MUCH MUCH BETTER SOUNDING GUITAR

  • hey somebody can suggest cheaper guitar+amp that has this sound?

  • @maarcnylmz most of the sound is from the pickups he has so you need a guitar that has EMG pickups.

  • @PoetryEmotion94 yah i already know it. but this amp is fantastic and i think this amp effects sound %60. to sum up somebody should suggest me a amp still.

thanks for your reply. have a nice day.

  • 1:22 sound like 'Departed' from As I Lay Dying

  • Oi! I used to love ESP guitars, untill i tried some. Now that i watch this video, i want an ESP agian. I suppose i could buy one, but my parents would have cows.

    I subbed.

  • @jfkdjfd hehe. you usually get to love a guitar after you have gotten to know it. So thats kind of weird.

  • I never get over how cleanly you play, and your fantastic technique! Excellent vid Monkey Lord, and thanks for keeping us entertained!

  • eternal descent ? where u in eternal descent? 0.o

  • I already own an ESP and i like it but youre review of the fr2 made me fall in love with it! It seems so freaking awesome and versatile!

  • how much is that guitar?

  • the people at COX are a bunch of UCKERS.

    that's right...COX UCKERS.

  • at 0:43 - 0:56 sounds like the riff of the song " I'll See The Light Tonight" by Yngwie Malmsteen XD

  • @xxxblucoxxx thats cuz it definately is lol

  • almost in the whole video ... i was thinking "this is michael romeo"

great playing dude... and dont worry, we all make mastakes out here too lml

  • I totally agree with you Chappers :)

  • OMG I HATE YOUTUBE NOW BECAUSE OF THESE DAMN ADVERTISEMENTS!!

  • "stupid nonsense" is awsome

  • such a sexy guitar...

  • stupid nonsense indeed (face slowly melts off).. \m/(o0)\m/

  • Please please please give me that guitar :D

I also want that with emgs.. man.

I would do everything for that ...

    very good playing :)

  • how thick are your strings? or rather what gage of strings do you use? :)

  • I have ESP Horizon Fr2, and this is far best guitar I ever play. Cool vid man! Peace

  • hey Rob, i have a question, i have an Ibanez JEM555 Steve Vai Signature, its 6 years old, bought it second hand, so im not REALLY sure wich pickups it has, but i think its the same as the newer ones, DiMarzio Evolutions, but my point is, i just can't get it to overmodulate or modulate or how to say it, like that pretty ESP Horizon FR 2 u got there. could u maybe tell me how i can make my guitar overmodulate? thanx, and nice playing ;) wish i could do that.

  • i heard cliffs of dover in there!

  • that is one shinny fret board

  • Love that malmsteen riff at 0:43 !!!!

  • i cried because the playing was amazingly beautiful! :)

  • @metalrulez96

bahahahahaha, oh man that was a good one

  • i know this is a weird question but would your tone change at all if u hardtailed that guitar with a block of brass?

  • eternal descent... kinda cliche dontchya think? xD

  • i love the guitar, but alot of what he played was typical lolz. most of us can do that

  • that is one beautiful guitar :') i wouldnt even play that guitar!!

  • i love them ESP sounds so rich!!! cool.

  • I hate EMG's, but I must say, that's a damn sexy guitar!

  • @Erock09291 just out of curiosity, why do you hate emg's? (not picking a fight here so dont be a cunt) personally ive found them to be amazing, clean clear tone and very resopnsive

  • @dougmilne27 It seems to me that there isn't as much high end as in a great set of passives. I'm running Dimarzio's, and I'm completely in love, so the EMG's just seem lifeless and cold in comparison

  • @dougmilne27 Although I respect players who use them, (some of my favorites do) I just prefer passives. If I had to use actives, I'd use the Seymour Duncan Livewire Dave Mustaine. They seem warmer to my ear

  • @Erock09291 fair enough dude :) im stuck between an esp ltd kh602 and an ibanez jem555, and that the diffrence between DiMarzios and EMG's, also the tremlo system too but thats just another thing, just wanted to know your take on EMGs :)

  • @dougmilne27 no problem dude

  • what amp is this?

  • i heard some malmsteen in there lol

  • I miss these video's ROB!!!! make more ESP vids please :(

  • Buckethead's brother ?

  • Great difference between this and LTD MH350 FR and the deluxe MH1000 series?

  • 1:17 OPENMOUTHAWESOMENESS!!!!!!

  • 0:25 lil' steve vai lick

  • OMG I WANT THAT GUITAR!!!

  • how much time needed to play like this?)

  • @DmanUfa

    18 years

  • Damn Chappers! Is there anything you can't do?

  • Did he just say he's from eternal descent?

  • this was stupid :)

  • is wish my gf had hands like this ;)

  • @PeterMilenk WITH ALL THIS HAIR AND STUFF

  • @PeterMilenk She probably wishes you did as well.

  • @PeterMilenk

Hairy and over 30 years old?:D

  • @PeterMilenk you mean with big hairy man fingers ?

  • @100tonchampion Yeah, I didn't get that one either. Why would anyone want that?

  • @PeterMilenk You wish she had man hands? That's gross man.

  • @PeterMilenk Not hairy tho

  • not hairy and manly tho...

  • @PeterMilenk Big strong man hands on my woman... Oh yeah! ;)

  • @PeterMilenk big and rough

  • i love this Rob dude you're a legend!

  • Hey there!I am thinking to buy the same guitar but i am a bit confused at the moment.arent the emg pickups the ones that need battery power to work??So, if this model comes up with Seymour Duncan pickups where have you putted the battery box??I mean, did you have to make a hole in the guitar to put the battery box?

(sorry if my question is a bit stupid but i dont know much from esp guitars and emg pickups as since the way i started playing the electric guitar im using usa fender strats :) )

  • @DionisisK0 yeah you need a battery for the EMG's. If you have passive pick ups and you want to place battery power EMGs you wil have to put the battery somewhere in the guitar.

  • Hi, Really Cool Stuff, I also Have an Horizon

Whats the Gear You are using here, Amps, and Possible effects, besides the ESP?

  • esp guitars are very cool!

  • Pretty cool for "stupid nonsense" haha

  • wow SHINY FRETBOARD :D

  • fucking awesome guitar

  • loved the start, very paul gilbert-ish

  • despite requiring years of practice it ends up being pretty scratchy n annoying sounding...too bad

  • what a beautiful guitar!!!!

  • love the guitar ,can i have it in black?

  • @speedjunkie66 i had the same guitar in black with emg active pickups and sold it for $500! the biggest mistake in my life! mine had the fret dots on top complete black fretboard

  • @speedjunkie66 but mine also had the reverse headstock which looked alot nicer!

  • I'd love to see you play something that you DON'T consider nonsense, cause this was effin' hardcore!

  • Indeed lol

  • that is a beautiful guitar!

  • Hey Rob, I have a question here im in the market for a new guitar im manily looking in the Esp/ltd line. Do you know what i should look for in a guitar? Im clueless i havent bought a new guitar in 3 years. Thanks and keep rockin!

  • Ahhh I wish I had the money for this guitar! :D

  • can i have your talents please?

  • awesome

  • 0:43 - 0:56. I'll see the light tonight. \m/

  • cool

  • what strings?

  • @brux559 Dadarrio (if that's how you freakin spell it XD)

  • Sick, is all I can say... SICK!!!!

  • great demo.. thanks

  • I headbanged the shit out of... my parents!

  • good technique, but boring.

  • honestly man, if money isnt any option, then id look into an ESP Eclipse II like the one rob is playing in his video "Advanced rock/metal licks". Around $1500 and can be found in any guitarcenter. Of course Les Pauls are cool but are alot more pricey unless you go with the Studio line. PRS's are really nice too but again are really pricey unless you buy an SE model. Jackson's are awesome for metal type stuff as well and have a wide price range. Im going buy an ESP Eclipse II this weekend...

  • I call hacks, what website you buy that finger moving ability from?

  • My dad had a heart attack after he saw this (JK). FUCKING AMAZING

  • aWzxdgtrxfvgrstbdhyrt... i was cleaning the cum off my keyboard sorry

  • what amp u using

  • i own this guitar, and i assure you that it is incredible, and can handle anything you can. \m/ forever.

  • Rob Sutherland? Rob Chapman? Whuh??

  • does the MH1000 play and sound as good as your horizon?

  • FUCK!! NON-STOP CUMMING!!! AAAGGGRRHH!!!!

  • hmm the tone kinda blows...

  • I think this is amazing nonsense

  • is there a way to refret it?? i hate jumbo frets

  • @44eelz why?

  • @PuppetGovernmentLV because they feel uncomfortable to me, normal frets let me dig into the neck better

  • @44eelz yeah i'm not a big fan of jumbo frets either.

  • HAHA love that u put in malsteens ill see the light tonight song in there, and i bet that u got hella bored doing this other than that great skill

  • i cum blood to this

  • @ray625164 LOL

  • @ray625164 a lot like cannibal corpse

  • Rob...just a queston, why do you call yourself the MONKEY LORD I don't get it and great playing btw

  • @MGFC666 its the name of his band....

  • is this the see through black cherry horizon fr II?cause it looks very different in pictures?

  • umm... that was not stupid nonsense! :O

  • @MrBavelaar Never owned a guitar with one but they just seem like too much trouble for me considering I don't care much for a tremolo bar

  • DAAAAMNNN!!!!

  • Sexy guitar!

  • Whats this stupid nonsense ;P

  • Hi Rob, what string guage do you use for shredding ? what string guage is suitable for shredding ? thanks.

  • @TheLTime im a beginer with alot of money if i get a guitar with a locking tremolo will my guitar tutor teach me how to tune it

  • @comedybenj The problem is not in "knowing how to tune it" that parts simple. The problem is the tuning itself, just to tune one damn string, you have to take off all the nuts then tune it with the tuning keys on the headstock & then you have to balance the bridge (which takes forever) & then you lock the nut back up. After that, you have to tune your guitar with the fine tuners at the bridge. All in all, it's just a pain in the ass and it takes forever! Don't buy it unless you REALLY need it!

  • @comedybenj I'd say get the horizon nt 2 cuz it's the same guitar without the locking nut and trem

  • @blitzX5 can you put a lockin trem in when u get good

  • @comedybenj Ummm I don't think so

  • @blitzX5 why?

  • @comedybenj I think you have to get a guitar that's designed to have one in it.

  • @comedybenj I think you have to get a guitar that's designed to have one in it. From what I know there needs to be a part of the body cut out for it

  • Holy shit at 1:16

  • 0.51-0.54 Hey thats the Riff from Set The World On Fire by Symphony X

  • DUDE CAN REALLY SHRED!!!

  • lol you're hilarious man =)

  • That's my dream guitar

  • @godlikecharacta should i beginer buy this guitar

  • @comedybenj No.

  • @grade456 why?

  • @comedybenj Not only will the locking trem be tricky to start with, but it's a bit pricey for a first guitar, if you can't get the hang of playing guitar or decide you don't like playing guitar then you've got a expensive ornament, probably better off starting with a lower end model.

  • @grade456 i dont buy guitars made in 3rd world countries because its cruel how they make the children work without feeding them

  • @grade456 should i get a fender

  • @comedybenj No, get a squire to begin with, no point starting on a expensive guitar.

  • @grade456 why there shit?

  • @comedybenj Not exactly bad for a beginner guitarist. Maybe go for a yamaha pacifica 112.

  • @grade456 im not buying cheap shit

  • @comedybenj get what you want. even if you make a bad decision and loose money its still your decision.

  • @comedybenj Here's a tip: go to the guitar store, try out some guitars from low-end guitars to high-end guitars. Choose what feels the most comfortable for you to play.

  • @icrazt456 theres no guitar shops near me

  • @comedybenj Since you have the money, how about you order the Chapman Guitars ML1, ML2 or the Ghost Fret?

  • @comedybenj if youre a beginner it depends on what type of music you want to play first of all....an ESP Horizon is a bit pricey and advanced (to say the least) for someone who's never played before. If you have money, like you say you do, and listen and want to learn metal or hard rock style guitar then an ESP Horizon is something you'd never outgrow as it's a professional guitar...the locking trem would prlly be to tricky though. If classic rock or blues is your thing, go with a Fender strat.

  • @dmb3305 im looking for a metal guitar with no floyd rose and no locking tuners and neck thorugh and fixed bridge what do you suggest?

  • @comedybenj Get the ESP Horizon NT (No Tremolo) Exact same guitar but fixed bridge.

  • @AudioImpression ok is it hard to tune?

  • @comedybenj not if it's don't right.

But, If your a Noob at guitar Set-up/Repair get a stop tail (it's easier to understand and faster)

  • @hospitalhunting im gonna get a cheap starter jackson and when i get good i will get a usa jackson or dean

  • @comedybenj no its not, it doesnt have the floyd rose so you tune it just like a regular guitar.

ESP Horizon NT (Tuned like regular guitar)
