  • is it possible to have you build me a car if i pay for it, i joined the US military in Guam over seas, i can go get a car built in hawaii, jepan, or somewhere in the states, plan to spen 3 grand on shipping a car, and about 15, to 20 grand building a monster

  • only in america could you have an engine that huge and only manage to extract such little power from it... don't get me wrong, i'm a big hemi/mopar fan and love classic american muscle, but stuff like this is just hilarious

  • @cozmium And only a Hemi/Mopar fan would make an ignorant comment like that because he probably has no clue about the difference between wheel horsepower and crank horsepower and the difference between a dynojet and dyno dynamics dynomometers. Do some research before you make yourself look stupid.

  • @cozmium Good lord. People from the UK are so sad and cold on their little island. they lash out constantly against the US on the internet, it makes them feel better.

  • @karsown Not sure how you see that as 'lashing out', I have close family in USA and love the country in some ways- I was merely expressing a lack of being impressed when for example an evo can extract 400+ bhp from 2l, and a massive engine like this can only get to 370 odd. Granted the difference in torque is worthy of note, but it always 'suprises' me how such high displacement can make such little comparative power in builds like this.

  • @cozmium

This engine isn't that massive, it weighs about the same as some V6's. It also weighs less than some smaller displacement I6 engines such as a 2jz or an RB engine. The fact that the 4G63 in an Evo is turbocharged makes it an unfair comparison. You could turbocharge this engine, and it would also make massive power. Keep in mind displacement is arbitrary. You should see that an LS engine can easily make 500hp with some bolt on pieces and weighs well under 500lbs. (The LS7 is 440lb)

  • @cozmium massive? i bet that ls1 weighs about the same as that shitty little 2 liter evo turd.

  • @cozmium

more proof that mopar fags are complete fucking idiots...

  • I just bought another S14 and I'm about to start this swap, but my question is about the SSR Professors. What size rim and tire are you running and what backspacing? They look awsome on your car by the way!!!!

  • @eddie6t9 Sold them, but I can't quite remember the offsets. 17" x 8" +29 and 17" x 9" +35 or so. Currently running 18" x 9" +19 and 18" x 10" +25 (CCW Classics)

  • @streetelite240 Thatnks for the info bro.

  • @streetelite240 Thanks for the info bro.

  • now i know what to put under the hood of my 1981 mazda rx7 how much did it cost by the way cuz i have $10,000 to spend on a new motor and im only 16 so i am also wondering how easy it is to get the motor in

  • @srgtrane That would cover it. Let me know if you're close enough to KY and I would probably be willing to tackle it if you want someone to do it.

  • @streetelite240

im picking up a 95' s14 after i get home from iraq and wanna do a LSx series swap (prefferably LS1 LS2 or LS6) any tips or webites you used? Plus i could always use an extra hand with the swap (jp)

  • Tell me the whole process, I want to do this.... Right now lol

  • @blown0883

I would be more than happy to help. My company is actually producing the kit and headers/driveshaft are in the works. I'll show you pics of the build and mounts I'm using. I'm also currently working on a write-up for the entire process to be posted on NICOclub in the Hybrid section.

  • @streetelite240 im on nico daily, im looking forward to reading that!

  • @streetelite240 give me a link or a pm I'm building an lq4 setup and need all kinds of parts! Mounts, exhaust, wiring, ect. I got the MS3, springs, and push rods already in.

  • @streetelite240 Did you ever post this??

Also can you link me to your company etc?

  • if the newer ls engines were'nt so damn expensive it would an even better option being that it's very light weight

  • @dsportnissan

They're really not that bad when you break it down. Once you factor in an upgraded turbo, bigger intercooler, better exhaust manifold, bigger injectors, etc., it may actually be cheaper than an SR/RB swap. Guarantee it's cheaper than an RB26 swap. Not to mention you get a stronger transmission that's a 6 speed. Sounds like a win/win situation to me. I've been on both sides so I've dealt with it and I have to give the edge to the LSx series in pretty much everything.

  • @streetelite240 i've been considering the 1jzgte engine since it's a cheaper and easier swap and more bang for the buck the sr20 which is what I have now and really did'nt want...lol! i'm going to check deeper into the ls and what it would take to turbo that engine in my s14. I can sell the sr and use that money

  • @streetelite240 Oh man

I wanted to do an SR swap but i never really wanted a 4 banger engine

  • sick!!!!

  • Are you from 502? this looks exactly like a car ive seen around, and on 502 streetscene.

Good numbers with just a cam and intake, the DD can be a tough mother.

  • @BigBadTurboM3 - I am...that is me (LS14 on 502SS). You are right about the DD...definitely a heart breaker if you're looking to make big numbers.

  • @streetelite240 : Yep. Although I was surprised by my ca and the DD. 374 whp on 10 psi, broken rings in #1 and #5, and 328 cams. ive watched your car for while. Definatly SICK! Im freinds with Chris from BG that has built an ls1 240 as well. Although I havent heard much about his fairlady back-half project in awhile. Anyways, nice video, and good luck man!

  • How do you have your exhaust set up? This sounds amazing. Contemplating the swap; have most the info, trying to find out how to get the sound I want, this is about it, thanks.

  • I knew the 98' '806' heads were just as good!! Thanks for proving me right and nice car man

  • Is it possible to have a v8 camaro engine in the 240? What will I need?

  • the camaro ss has a ls1

  • The stock rearend.

  • what kind of rearend u need to run to have a v8 in the 240?

  • dont sr's my mates 180 with sr is pushing 450kw from the back wheels

  • chris your shit is weak ..... you got nothing on the super bad civic .....

  • im thinking of s15 sr20det for my car but a v8 wouldnt be bad either for all motor

  • SR20s are useless. Ls1 is MUCH better. Look at streetelites other videos, cam only and in the 11s... try doing anything like that with an SR

  • actually I decided to keep the stock ka24de now, and i dont really need a v8 engine. I dont care much for hp and big engines and I really think its all about the balance.

  • the ls1 set up has less weight than a stock ka, and sits a couple inches farther back

  • oh and btw about my previous comment im not saying that the ls1 would cause the car to go off balance since i know theres only a couple lbs difference between the 2 engines.

  • sr's are fun and great on gas too. Ls1 is also a great engine. I have an sr i'm cleaning up in my garage and a ls2 that i want to put into my 240sx. sr turbo motors are fun to play with. Make somewhat decent power. Easily make 300 to the wheels with no problem.

  • @funguy7979 the thing is, the sr20's only dyno around 220rwhp stock. they need at least $1000 to get to 300rwhp and thats at the least. the ls1 stock will put down 320rwhp and 330rwtq without touching it.

  • from about $500-$1,000 you can make just over 300whp actually. I've seen sr20's at 320whp running perfectly all day. I wouldn't do that for to long though do to the fact that the sr20 motor is aluminum. The KA24 motor is actually iron and can handle a lot more abuse.

Plus you need to consider at what RPM range does that 300+whp kick in. On the LS1 it comes a hell of alot sooner than with a SR20. Food for thought. V8 torque in a import is awesome. To each their own. Good comment by the way.

  • +1!!

  • looking good man we should run sometime at gateway man.

  • Looks good, I run a LS6 in the S13 but with work

  • I'm in the process of this swap: SR Parts are hard to find and not cheap....ls1 parts are everywhere and are reasonable. This is great...nice car man!

  • sr parts are everywhere.......

  • MY car is 2900lbs 350rwhp 30 mpg hwy. That is very gay. Sometimes I get sick of how great this swap is. I never meet someone to tell me it's gay to my face. If I meet nismodave57 I will make sure I will knock his teeth and jaw in. Internet bitch= nismodave57

  • I am not a huge fan of this swap I am not a hater it just seems like abandoning the japanese thought process of doing more with less

  • nice numbers !!!!! i cant wait to dyno my car

  • God I love it. Lightweight S chassis combined with the amazing LS1 makes for a hell of a car.

  • Gay

  • fag

  • Stop hating old man. Your days are numbered, don't spend them on here talkin shit.
