  • I can't play guitar, but I always set my Clavinova Piano to guitar when I play this, as it really does sound and feel Spanish that way! Lovely performance by the way :)

  • tan hermoso! <3

  • too fast.practice or fall in love and get dumped ..

  • how hard is this song i might try and learn it

  • beautiful piece played here to a high standard if much too quick..

  • Anyone notice thatJohnny Guitar, the american song by Peggy Lee knida sounds like this

  • @icepaige16; That's because it isn't a guitar piece, it is a piano piece, intentionally designed to emulate guitar. Beautiful, that's all that really counts. The composer died on the Luisitania, (spelling?), the sinking of which drew the US into WW 1

  • Guitarra española cláscia, de lo mejor........

  • Musica clasica española de guritarra, de l omejorcitooooo .......

  • very nice video but if u want to get it better u should change the description and write espanola correct, it might dont be important for non spanish speakers but for us the n and ñ sounds are totally differents. If u want it correct u should write the ñ pressing alt + 164 or u could write espanhola, espanyola or espagnola. Nh, ny and ng are the some sounds than ñ but in different languages. Hope u keep it in mind for future videos and thanks again for this nice piece.

  • @ju4nito o.o?!?

  • Stick with SPAIN and FLAMENCO images only, you have pictures of MEXICANS and TANGO dancers mixed in there !

  • @FamilyPrisonerBlues Is this a piece of music for flamenco dancing? Interesting, I never knew--I just thought it was a Spanish song. And how do you tell the difference between Mexicans and Spanish? It's a skill to be desired. :-)

  • Elegant !

  • beautiful video.

i thank you to teach me about it.

    i love spanish dance

  • I love the old timey pictures! And those red shoes are fantastic! Lovely guitar playing!

  • i play this on violin :)

  • Dedicated to the Great guitar master Andres Segovia by the greate composer Enrique Grandos.

  • I just started learning this on the piano! it is a genius piece of music! its kinda difficult tho, I love the spanish touch, and this is m first time hearing it with spanish guitar, which really delivers the whole efeect of SPAIN :)

  • ok isn't weird that some of the images are Tango or Samba?

  • I have this song on my ipod.... I listen and watch the world harmonize with the music. Such a sentimental melody. Just beautiful.

  • Que preciosa musica,

  • Wonderful! It's originally written as a guitar tune, isn't it? Until now I only knew some adaptions, but this one sounds very good, indeed...

But I wonder why my edition of this piece is not titled "Andaluza", but "Playera - Spanish Dance", although it's exactly the same (compare to my video reply)...

    See you!

  • Oh, I just noticed it was composed for piano. But the guitar adaption is very nice, though.

...still wondering why my sheet says "Playera"...

  • bello

  • What's your name, darthguitar? My father & I who play guitar ourselves would really like to know, you've performed a brilliant interpretation of this legendary piece, which is also my personal favourite :-)

  • ola

  • I have this sheet music

  • Very beautiful. And very well played, of course.

  • well played thank you...

  • i love it!

  • yeah i played this song for my college admissions on piano. it sounds amazing on guitar!

  • demasiado rápida la interpretación para mi gusto

  • Lovely. One of my favorite guitar pieces!!

  • muy bueno

  • One of my personal favorites from E.Granados' 'Danzas Espanolas'

    ---Great!

  • You play alright, But the notes coming out of your guitar between the 9th & 12th fret sound out of tune. Get a better guitar. LOL @ the mexicans, What the hell are they doing there?

  • buy a compensated saddle, is what I assume ^^ means. Love this song.

  • Yes. (I'm no luthier)

  • VIVA ESPAÑA, VIVA LA MADRE PADTRIA.

  • OMG I'm learning this 4 piano I love this song :)

  • And what are doing those mexican pictures there?

  • there are criollos, that dance that the do, is a dance that is half spanish and mexican in a way, is more spanish, but anyways, mexicans are rare, they fell mexican, but want to be north americans and dislike spain or something.

  • My last name is granados.

    ftw

  • I'm learning tihs piece on violin, but it's wonderful to hear it on guitar...gives a very different feeling!

  • too sexy

  • That's what my cousins keep telling me when they hear me play this piece. Kind of scares me, really.

  • this song is a bit off from the original, and i think ur comfusing spain, for mexico, one of the images was sum mexicans! lol i use to hear this song played by my grandmother on the piano in spain wen i was really small, and it sounded completely different!

  • very good! well done amigo

  • i played this one on the piano :]

  • i played this on piano a few years ago, i couldnt remember the name but i knew it was spanishy and it was in e minor so i search and remembered, i liked it on the piano and its just as brilliant here too!

  • Beautifully done.

Assured tone and control and feel.

    Kudos!

  • its nice to hear this on guitar... i played it for piano... i didnt even realize it was a guitar piece...

  • it is a piano piece but most of musicians play it on guitar

  • @darthguitar I play it on harp:))

  • @darthguitar Personally I think in sounds incomparably better on guitar... Very possibly composed by a pianist who had the guitar on his mind

  • @darthguitar not entirely true.. there are many people playing it on guitar but the same amount of piano players.. Sounds very good though!! <3.. I play it on the piano myself but I love the guitar version!

    so thanks for posting!

  • I can write for you any sheet music

  • Simplemente precioso!!!

  • that is a difficult piece! you make it sound very good.

  • Wonderful playing, fantastic tone and well chosen pictures of Spain and dance, you really do this great composition credit, thank you for this posting.

PS Ignore the one or two critics, its doing it that counts, not criticisng others publicly.

  • thanks man, nothing is easy:)

  • learn how to play legato and you will improve this enormously. Also try and create some dynamics throughout the piece not just here and there.

  • you are right. It is not very easy to do that throughout the whole piece. I am trying to improve it.

I liked the painting artworks at the start better than the more modern photographs. But good work!

  • Stunning!!!

  • Very nicely done. Very beautiful pictures...enjoyable.

  • Absolutly beautiful.

  • thank you for posting such a poetic and sublime video. So many spanish guitar videos are filled with the narcisist guitarist leaving the purpose of the guitar...a beautiful woman...Gracias

  • Really nice playing! Thanks.

  • around 8 sec and 14 sec, it sounds weird

  • thx for comments, can you explain more?

Or you use a different transcription?

  • forget it , you'd better show up in stead of pictures.

  • I made from my previous audio recordings so I didn't show up.

  • thanks for the comments, GR. The video is made from my previous recording so there is no actual video. If I played today I would add more details for this piece. By the way, the whole piece was basically played on free stroke.

  • Very spirited performance of this masterpiece by Granados! I really liked the vigorous dance rhythm you maintained steadily throughout the piece and the lyrical sections were sensitively played, especially the harmonics section. Nice slide show but I would really like to SEE you play this besides just listening-Don't be shy now! :-) Thanks for sharing, GR
