Carl was our son. He was killed in an auto accident in Mexico. His friend made this video for him and about a year later took his own life. We were so blessed to have both boys in our lives. We are at 5 years today that we lost Carl. It feels like it was just yesterday. We miss him so much. Thank you all for the nice comments to us and on the video. Carl is a wonderful young man with the bestest friends ever who died on his vacaion in Mexico. This was the first vid I saw when i started youtoube and I still feel sad. I guess he died on April 9th, 2005. He was so cute. I have so many friends and relattives in the states and all these picutres look so familiar. I think of you Carl.
How amazing that Carl's friends should get this together and put it out for everyone to see. I'm on the other side of the Atlantic, never been to the USA, never met Carl but have just cried my eyes out for him and for his loved ones. It's beautifully put together.
God never promised bad things wouldn't happen. In fact He said SEVERAL times that they most definatly would. When people say they can't believe in God because He "Let bad things happen" they don't see that He's not here to stop things like that from happening. God never promised bad things wouldn't happen. In fact He said SEVERAL times that they most definatly would. When people say they can't believe in God because He "Let bad things happen" they don't see that He's not here to stop things like that from happening. What He DID promise however, and what He DOES do is guide us, comfort us, and carry us when we come to the bad times in our life.

this is just my opinion, i don't want to start an argument on a video like this, but i don't beleive in god either, it seems kind of silly to me. I wont say any more because that would start a fight, and as i said before, it would be disgracful and unfeeling.

omg. i was looking for the fray's video but i came to this instead. i may not know who he is but he seems like a great kid. its too bad he died in a car accident. i know how it feels like to lose someone close to your heart so my condolences to all of those who knew him. may he rest in peace =]

This makes me think of my grandpa & uncle, and the first time I went to a funeral... the lady who died's little girls were sobbing and It was so sad... All of a sudden I started sobbing and I really didn't even know the lady... R.I.P to Carl, the lady, grandpa, and uncle.

i hope that those who wish to take their own life could watch this video first and realise how life's got so much in store for this young man... as much for them. let's live life to the fullest, for Carl and others who couldn't have the chance to do so.

Today I saw the video of Carl for the first time. I was looking for The Fray: How to save...and found this vid. It is so sad, listening to that wonderful song and seeing the pic´f of Carl, I started crying. What a waste. I think he was a wonderful person. I would like to know what happenend to him. Now I will always think of Carl when I hear this song and I do not even know him. (Claudia from Germany)
