Cheesy recording of such s great guy like Paul Revere. He and so many of our 60's favorites deserve a LOT better than that! Paul is still wild and crazy as ever. You need to see him in concert with Gary Puckett or Davey Jones (Monkees). Bless 'em all for hangin' in there to keep us fans happy.
to be a front man singer u need to have the whole package in which Mark Lyndsay surely had: an identifiable powerful voice, the looks, charisma ,and the stage presence.
Watch/listen to Keith Allison's version. (...a better replacement) Also, buy Mark's Last Midnight Ride CD. He has still got a great singing voice and it is recorded live.
That is correct. What is also correct is that YOU have not heard every single one of his live performances either. It wasn't a slam on Mark, just an educated observation. No one sings perfectly every gig under varying conditions and in different acoustical environments. I have 5 songwriting awards from Billboard, 2 ASCAP memberships and an album on the market - I think I know a little more about this subject than you do. Need proof of my credentials? You just let me know. What are yours?

But the guys sounds a lot like Mark. And in reality, Mark probably didn't sing any better than that live either. It's one thing to sing in a controlled environment (studio) when you have as many tries as you need, it's quite another to sing over amplified instruments in a place with terrible acoustics when you've already been singing every night for a month, and how well you can hear yourself depends on the sound man and other factors. The guy did just fine, all things considered.
This year, Paul leads into this song with a little background: "we had such a big hit with Louie Louie (plays the main line of it), we decided to play it BACKWARD! And this is what we got!" (Plays main line of Just Like Me).
send darrin (the "new" lead singer) back to the beach as a surfer boy. he wouldn't even make it in a garage band. these guys now officially such without mark lindsay.
Despite my terrific admiration for PR&R for 45 years (yikes!) I gotta admit, I also like the "Pull Reverse and the Radiators" version as well! Pull Reverse is a hoot. take a look, you'll find his vids on the right side of this page, in 'related videos'.

The sound on this video sucks! The band is as good as ever in person. I go to Branson every year just to see them., and they never disappoint.

Sure wish the camera person could have moved up closer! Big arena, lots of echo. Great song!
Front row: Ron Foos, Darren Medley, Paul Revere, Doug Heath.
Back row: (Too fuzzy to tell if Omar on drums or new guy, former 'roadie') and Danny Krause on keyboards.

Immortal-I am very happy they are still at it with the same spirit as most of the original cast. I bet they never left the Raiders now!
