I love the Sooners...my son is a senior there. But Billy Sims was an embarrassment to himself and the school that day. My guess is that he had a few pops before the event. Nothing else explains that kind of behavior. It was kind of a mini-Joe Namath meltdown....if you recall the time Namath was drunk as a skunk at a Monday Night Football game and told the on-field female TV reporter trying to interview him how hot she was and kept asking if he could kiss her. Sad day Joe.

It's Sooner Heisman winner Billy Sims yelling "Boomer" - 11 times by my count. Bradford answers him twice with "Sooner" as he's climbing the steps to receive the award. Sims also is the one telling him "welcome home, baby!" around 2:23, and "Sooner or later, we'll get ya!" at 2:28.

Some people have been critical of Billy for his lack of decorum, but it's hard not to love a guy with that much spirit who is so proud of his school.
