I'm predisposed against cover versions as a general rule- I give the benefit of the doubt to the artist who wrote/performed the song, as it stands to reason that the original artist would know the best way to perform it.

So with true apologies to Tal Bachman, this version is better- by a wide margin, IMO.......

His tone is definitely better, as are the instrumentals, but if he would have done the same dynamics as Tal I would agree with you in a heartbeat. I think Tal was just a little more musical about it in his writing, whereas this guys is just kinda rockin' out
