  • I Really Like The Video From Your In order for his spaceship to travel through the galaxy, Michio will need an energy source that can hold up to the task

  • Your Video Is Very Useful Sharing In order for his spaceship to travel through the galaxy, Michio will need an energy source that can hold up to the task

  • ok before financial global stability.. were gonna need social global stability..

meaning another world encompassing war annihilating say 80% of our population.. leaving the remainder of humanity with NO CHOICE BUT to work with one another and put aside ALL differences for survival..

in theory at this point greed would disappear with all the rest of humanities more disastrous traits

&tech would finally be ALLOWED to catchup with our nascent morality. now all we need is a young Ozymandias -_-

  • He's Asian, He can do anything!!!

  • IDEA: Claim mars. Build there. Leave Earth.

  • Dammit, I wanna make a warp nacell first.

  • So Bob Lazar was right.

  • vacuum. and very big, very cold but mostly big, MAGNETZ

  • i ddnt think you could make antimatter because if you did it would make the whole shit explode.

  • @Jsavolainen antimatter was already made out of helium atoms. We would need millions more then what was created cuz right now they only have produced enough to heat my coffee. That s it

  • a 30 second ad for a 2 minute video? really youtube

  • its funny..they say it costs trillions to cost &a huge energy bill.. but the effective development of anti-matter would pay for itself a trillion times over &would basically mean there would BE NO NEED for utility co.'s energy would be so readily abundantly available u cpuldnt actually charge people for energy anymore..............ahh..it all makes sense now

  • @theblaquebaastid exactly, make your own energy 100% efficient.

  • @theblaquebaastid Correction... 24 thousand trillion dollars is 24 QUADRILLION dollars. A quadrillion is a thousand trillion and it would take hundreds, if not thousands, of years of savings over our current utility companies billions of dollars profit to compensate.

  • @TheSmoonge umm... why not just GIVE them the supplies they need for free? Do you know how FUCKING amazing this would be for humanity? Imagine travelling from earth to work on a MASSIVE Iron mine on mars, and getting there in ohh, 3 minutes?

that's what anti matter can do.

(Btw mars is mostly made of Iron Ore on the surface, and would prolly sell for a total of a few hundred quadrillion bucks.)

  • @Shuttheheckup735 That's a good idea, but you know how greedy man is. In a perfect world that would work, but I don't think that would happen. There would be someone or ones that would control all the iron production and sales so they could be the most wealthy and powerful asshole on earth... or mars.

  • @TheSmoonge i think u mighta responded to the wrong guy -__-

  • @theblaquebaastid Nope, I was responding to your initial post about it costing trillions and that the anti matter would pay for itself a trillion times over. I did, however, make a mistake in calculating the amount of time it would take to compensate for the cost. It would only take a matter of months to do so (possibly up to a year), not hundreds or thousands of years like I initially said.

  • All things are impossible until they are not. For this to exist in mass quanity, first the "drive" has to be there, then the "need" must convince investors to pay for its commercial development. Like CDs from cassettes, a change must occure for the benefit. Second, it will not be free energy at first. Minx0512 stated: [be inefficient to produce antimatter for energy production from "normal" energy sources like oil, gas, water, wind etc ] the source energy must be free for this to be.

  • Sir, we can discover the universe! We might find life outside Earth! What do you say?

    We can't afford it!.

  • @Chekkogrnteam LOOOL currency is just silly sometimes :/ :D

  • @kingmcbrian I agree, funny I was talking with friends one day and I had said, you know "money" is a made up thing, and it's just there to control man and keep certain men in power. If we get rid of the nonsense known as "currency", mankind's future would have no bounds.

  • @kingmcbrian Currency? I'm not talking about that.

Only how the world spends too much on military and other crap.

  • @Chekkogrnteam WE HAVE TO SPEND MONEY ON MILITARY TO PROTECT FROM THE ALIENS.

  • Comment removed

  • i'd say, if you want to produce enough antimatter for energy production on earth (and beyond) you "just" have to harvest the energy of the sun - just on a much larger scale then with todays solar panels on earth.

build sth like a space station between the sun and the earth and use the sun's radiation and paricle stream as an energy source for your LHC (or better VLHC).

  • i know - it would be very expensive, but then it would also be inefficient to produce antimatter for energy production from "normal" energy sources like oil, gas, water, wind etc....

  • fuck money just do it why do we gottuh pay it they should understand n just say hey well give this one a freeby cause importanat

  • Whys it so expensive?

  • @harryhas4242 because anti matter is 100% efficient, i no sounds dumb but talk to the makers

  • When will this go into weapons research? If it hasn't already

  • well if they really wanna go outer space they would make that shit but if they gonna be idiots and use it as a weapon make sure they do it in the other side of the world atleast

  • It costs how much?!

  • @StreetKingEvolution $5 per gallon.

  • Where do they come up with that number? Do they just make up a price that sounds intimidating or is there actually something behind it, like the cost of electricity?

Honestly, if it's that costly there should be a way to make it cheaper.

  • @Xadreos Right now the only way to make it is with a particle accelerator and those things are damn expensive to run and produce. The supercollider in Europe was shut down for a month because of a crumb, so it's not exactly practical...yet.

  • 1:45-1:48 says so though

  • i love you michio.

  • ENERGY CAN BE CREATED!

  • @erikrulez17 and your basis for this theory is?

  • @erikrulez17 The contrary is proven...

  • @erikrulez17 ha ha ha ha ... no, see u gotta smash a lotta matter together before a little anit-matter falls out of it more or less, its totally aburd that that stuff can come form nothing unless ur talkin about a very very very little amount for an incredibly, insanely small piriod of time.

  • Well, what does it matter?

  • Anti-matter is expensive to create, because you need a very large amount of power and therefor a large power bill? ...hmm ...Well if that is the case, why not build the device that creates anti matter on a starship and harness the power of the sun to activate the device while floating in above earth orbit. Spread out the solar sails to collect energy, create anti matter and also let a bit of anti matter be used to create more anti matter in a loop. Or am I missing something here?

  • Get anti-matter from space. There are like 28 different new kinds of anti-matter particles on the edge of the planets electromagnetic field. Maybe we could figure out how to make anti-matter from matter's electromagnetic field and then collide it. Collect charged particles that can be used to make anti-matter, while in space. There are lots of charged particles in space.

  • only solution for humanity to stop biting itself in the ass is shared conciusness where everyone can feel the others emotions on subconcious level, so if you decide to pop someone in the nuts...guess what? there will be lots of people with hurting crotch,, you let someone to starve everyone feels it

  • Comment removed

  • So whats going to happen in a few hundred years? Are we still going to say "oh we can't build that its too expensive"? Stupid monetary system and no good politicians.

  • 24 thousand trillion usd an ounce...

    that's 24000000000000000 USD!!!

or 24 quadrillion USD.... for a frickin' ounce! (that thing better be sweet)

to make 2kgs of anti-matter it would cost 1.69 quintilion usd... that's 1693152000000000000 usd... this is so ridiculous... there's not even that much physical money in the world....

we can leave it for the bankers to use it on us on some future...

  • @xptos1 well obviously we will have to develop a cheaper form of it

  • Brawndo is the most powerful fuel in the world... cuz it's got electrolytes.

    here's proof

    Brawndo: The Thirst Mutilator

  • The easiest thing is to develop a currency less government, just keep the globe GDP and we have our first generational ship, and we can head on mars! Hello Colony!

  • Can you please upload the whole thing? Thanks a bunch!

  • $_$ Ching Ching it will be cheaper one day in the far far future 0_0

  • If they created antimatter then how come they didn't blow the accellerator up.

  • @leahcimrac small amounts and magnetic confinement.

  • The thought of anti-matter or cold fusion is terrifying and I hope it is never used for anything. Whoever control's it's power control's the world.

A prominent Rothschild banker once said "Give me control of a nation's money supply, and I care not who makes its laws." The same applies to energy. The optimistic (and fictional) world of Star Trek where humans work together without conflict is not in our near future.

  • THIS GUY IS A GAY NERD

  • @MsForage YOUR A GAY NERD

  • This will be posible ...many things we are dreaming now will be posible : antimater engines , nanotechnology ...etc. The thing is that someone will always use these to bring evil to the world we live in . Imagine some lunatics using antimater in the far away future to build a bomb ...just an example.

  • The thing is they are finding new and cheaper ways to make anti-matter. I suspect that eventually they will be able to bring that price tag down to an acceptable amount. When they do, the door to the stars will open since an anti-matter powered space craft could reach about 90+% the speed of light in a very short amount of time.

  • the military will try to build a bomb with anti-matter and claim its for FREEDOM

  • @spenore Not even the US would spend $24000 trillion just to build a bomb

  • @Baronstone Well you never know... the US government is getting pretty stupid here lately lol

  • @spenore oh definately! the first use of antimatter we will see is a weapon. nothing more certain.

  • Wtf anti matter costs a lot of money!!!

  • yeah, find some other way to make antimatter, preferably cheaper and faster...

  • This tecnology is not enough powerful to build an ultimate weapon, russians made the Tsar bomb but they didn' t even use it just to make an example...

  • I thought antimatter was something you put on things that matter to make them not matter anymore. =) (J/K)

  • i eat antimatter for breakfast

  • Cern scientist trapped anti matter for 16 and a half minutes.

Pretty awesome if you ask me lol.

  • now we can make Antimatter bomb

  • God is so great...

  • how do you contain it if it just explodes when it meets matter

  • @flame19941 It has to be contained with a magnetic field.

  • I mean I hope they figure out, but imagine how much it would suck if that stuff got into the wrong hands...

  • This stuff will only be created/harvested cheaply in space.

As for the money market. It is a problem, so contribute as little to it as possible in your life time. Don't feed the Beast.

Don't go without, but don't be such capitalist bastards. Cheers.

  • @baalisgod666 LOL!

  • how would they even be able to contain antimatter?

  • @WTFGiordan Electromagnetic field inside of a vacuum

  • I was imagining if we (in side a so called 'spacecraft' ) represents a Protons and we travel close to the speed of light until we collide into the metal plate or sth... Just what will happen??? Will we die or something??? Or will it produce the mirror image of us and where would we have travelled to then ???

  • let me get my wallet i think im carring about 1 google wtih me.

  • Blame the religions.

  • the human race is sooooooo stupid, when are we gonna learn money has no value its just paper with dead people on it, give it to michio it will be good to become a type 1 civilization.

  • hell no you not taking my money!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • By time all of this will decrease in cost.because fossil fuel should run out pretty soon and we should then discover some Free Form energy like fusion or other type or maybe large anti matters Generated by atom smashing for powering up the world

  • They are saying that a gram of this stuff could power New York and all of its cabs for 10 years.. but it's so dangerous it could take out and 8th of America, thats fucking incredible.

  • @JordanWells15 You can't use it as a power source though because there are no large caches of the stuff nearby for us to just collect. We have to make it, and then it just because a really inefficient battery (inefficient in making the stuff. .001% is considered highly efficient in making antimatter. Yeah, it's that bad.)

  • On the End, Someone will use it as Weapon ,as always is like that.

  • @xyperox hopefully by the time we can efficiently produce antimatter humans will no longer need weapons

  • @xyperox sad by true.... hope people can learn from the past... history is just a cycle

  • @xyperox no one is that stupid

  • @xyperox unfortunately one of the major flaws of society

  • @xyperox No, its way to expensive to be used for a common weapon

  • @xyperox if everyone gets along together, there will be no more wars, then no need to use it as a weapon

  • @xyperox HA LOL

  • @xyperox I don't know about that. Might be the other way around, funding and resource for research comes from the military, they want to use it as a weapon but after its been developed, it might be there for science,

  • @xyperox Lets just hope that it won't be used against the Earth or any terraformed planet or moon in the future.

  • if a nuclear warhead was accelerated to near the speed of light would it release the same amount of energy just over a longer period of time(general theory, time dilation)

would it be possible to do something like this inside of a system like cern only with much more powerful magnetic fields in a much smaller diameter, like say 10 feet as opposed to 5 miles

maybe it would take more energy than it would create

  • @couchkilla What are you talking about? If you accelerate any object to close to the speed of light, and let it collide with a relatively stationary object it will release tremendous amounts of energy. I believe around 80-85% light speed will release energy equivalent to its rest mass.

  • @SuperFluidFerroFluid Indeed. If we have the recources and the ability to use them as much as we want (for example, our earth can harvest insane amounts of power with technology) we can make the world alot better then what it is today

  • @SuperFluidFerroFluid i agree with you, but you do realize that jews have created the most helpful advances to mankind compared to anyone else

  • @SuperFluidFerroFluid Get a fucking job you unemployed parasite, no doubt you get paid in "paper with pictures".

  • @trulynot My job is probably way better then yours, and i get payed through ditigal transactions sir. Ditigal currency is not the same as abstract papers,. with pictures on them.

  • @SuperFluidFerroFluid Lols. I am an Air Traffic Controller in training - a very rewarding career. You are also completely deluded trying to link anyone identifying themselves as Jewish and "paper with pictures" as if its some sort of conspiracy . So you claim to be paid digitally ? In what currency ? A currency that is upheld to a paper standard by any chance ? You need extensive counseling and remedial learning

  • @SuperFluidFerroFluid Nothing wrong with money. It's one of mans greatest inventions and actually speeds things up in a really big way. I think you're talking about greed. ...and what's with the jew hating?

  • @Jamesride101 Im sorry you misunderstood me, i dont hate jews.

  • @SuperFluidFerroFluid Get rid of money and life is perfect

  • @SuperFluidFerroFluid

Mankind must also STOP being racist, because sharing and hatred cannot coexist..

comments like yours show one of the other main reasons holding human progression to a near halt, and its not just money.

  • @gergoooooooo not realy

  • @gergoooooooo racist people wont stop science fool

  • @FIGHTFANNERD3

Never said it was, I was merely trying to state that there are many other variables which need to be taken into consideration than just money, one of my examples was racism pertaining to that douchebag's hateful comment towards jews below... fool.

  • @gergoooooooo Now hold on before you point at me with your fucking racism bullshit,. What nation came up with the idea of banks and money? And if we were to sort out and collect all these materialistic people who gives a damn what we call them, might aswell call them European or Asian, name is completely abstract in this sense as i was pointing at the unfortunate majority of jews who played their cards wrong and now they shall be called JEWS as they truthfully are RESPONSIBLE for this scandal.

  • @SuperFluidFerroFluid Banks? Medieval Europe around Spain. Money? Every single group of humans to ever walk the Earth.

  • @SuperFluidFerroFluid

The only reason Jews have the stereotype is because they were forced into it. they were suppressed by other governments, had everything stolen from them, and were banished from countries for the benefit of the queen (who demanded everything they owned). They developed "what you consider materialism" because they had to keep their belongings safe. It was illegal for them to have any gold, or luxuries. As for the banks, it was against most religions to handle other's money

  • @SuperFluidFerroFluid Everyone came up with the idea of currency. Please shut the fuck up.

  • @gergoooooooo Besides like Yoda use to say,... Jews leads to money,. money leads to segregation,.. segregation leads to racism,. Its all down to money! Your favorite shit paper with pictures on it.

  • @gergoooooooo It is simple education. There will come a time in the future where the educated will split from the uneducated and create an alternative society. The only way the uneducated will be able to join is to submit to an education programme.

  • @karadan100 I cannot stress how much of a good idea that is!

    Let's hope it actually happens.

  • @gergoooooooo I like you're piano covers

  • @gergoooooooo Racism is carried to us from the time when we were animals. Gorillas or lions for example don't like anyone who's not from THE pack. So racism is part of our nature.

  • @LordVili

Are you seriosly comparing human beings to lions and gorillas? "Gorillas or lions for example don't like anyone who's not from THE pack. So racism is part of our nature." ?

Gorillas and lions also dont build highways and guns, so its a part of our nature not to do so? idiot.

Racism always existed, because we think "we and them", we dont like the unknown, it frightens us. But as soon as we get familiar with it, we accept it. Racism is all about lack of knowledge and stupidity.

  • @Raudue You can't say that. With that logic you could say that "Well I always thought Satan was a bad guy but as I met him, he was alright.", see?

And what I meant with the gorillas and lions bullshit is that let's say that you don't see gorillas and orangutangs having sex with each other and living among each other. Why? Because they are different and difference means always bad or that is what our brain thinks first. All of this racist bullshit is built into us. No arguing there.

  • @SuperFluidFerroFluid But still do we have the resources? Should we just abandon every other mission on this planet and just focus on antimatter? I dont think it would work out.

  • @SuperFluidFerroFluid If we stop thinking like Jews we might stop thinking like Einstein! But I do agree that currency is a bit silly. Maybe someday we can share technology with people that won't try to use it to destroy us. Religious nuts kinda fuel that fire, though.

  • @SuperFluidFerroFluid No its the Vulcans you retard.

  • @SuperFluidFerroFluid

    fuckin true mate

  • @SuperFluidFerroFluid Its just my opinion but most of man kind wants kill each other if this type of tech gets into the wrong hands it could potentially end the world I.E thermal nuculer war

  • @SuperFluidFerroFluid just dont talk

  • @SuperFluidFerroFluid what is a jew? As far as I am concerned they are like gremlins. They don't exist and if they behavior is spotted. Ask wtf r u doing?

  • @SuperFluidFerroFluid Take down the weed, hippi and try to live in the real world! The need and the want of money keeps the world in moving.

  • @SuperFluidFerroFluid And everywhere around the world, I hear conservatives cringe at that communist statement. Even though most communist regimes have been tyrannical, I still think it would be a good idea and it would advance humanity.

  • Here MR Kaku names it CLEARLY to be the most powerfull FUEL known to man,. Now where is the son of a bitch that argued with me about CERN not being a generator, instead he bitched about it being a test fecility? Yet there are hundreds of proton accelerators out there nothing like the CERN ring.

  • He was saying that the price to make one ounce of anti matter is 20 bizilion trazilion but why not just do one run of anti matter and make a decent amount of it then just make more using the anti matter you've made?

  • @gobebluth You've never studied thermodynamics, have you?

  • @gobebluth That wouldn't work because each time you repeated this procedure you would only end up with less and less antimatter.

  • I want those billiard balls!

  • I will start to work as a chippendale dancer for ladies to save money to buy anti-matter.

  • Dude I haz like 17 pounds of antimatter in mize basement.

You can have like 5 pounds, but I need the rest to getz back to my home planet. XD

  • @TimmySodaPop Can I have some?

  • first make some and then talk !

  • Use one drop per city and boom!

  • imagine in the future all gas station has antimatter fuel

  • @claudeleason Imagine if the terrorsits mixed the anti matter with matter and make x20 Hiroshima bombs?

  • @claudeleason that would be dangerous... BO0O0O0O0OO0O0O0O00O0O00M!!!

  • A method for creating antimatter at a useful and affordable rate will be discovered in orbit on the ISS, sometime after 2015. The actual mechanism, a massive solar farm in orbit will not be built until at least 2025. The first practical test of a Matter Annihilation Reactor System will happen after 2035. The First crude warp drive comes online in 2050 after a mobile MARS is developed in 2040.

  • I think we should go with ION thrusters... They may be weak but they got huge potential for speed. The new one NASA is making would get us to mars in just 39 days. ION thrusters uses particles at light speed as thrust, the space ship will speed up all the time just very slowly. And it require almost no fuel! Just energy, lots of it tho. Fusion is a viable option for energy.

  • @fuunguus I think the one you are thinking of is the one with plasma thrusters (superheated plasma being rapidly ejected from a nozzle) ION's take way to long to get to a place like mars in just 39 days

  • @spacefannumber1

They call VASIMR a plasma thruster yes, but it is still an ION thruster. The plasma is ionised and then accelerated with magnetic fields to create thrust, thus ION thruster.

  • @fuunguus I see, so its really both a plasma and ion engine, not one or the other (in the traditional sense)

  • Let's do it!!!! :D

  • There's possible harvesting in distant galaxy where antimatter is suspected to exist in myriad there. Of course, that's future technology viable though.

  • @CressKayEdge

Hmm, you mean like an entire galaxy made of antimatter? Well, I guess it isn't entirely impossible, but I think we would've known about it by now. Galaxies crashes all the time, and if such galaxies existed, there would be lots of evidence of em. Like several galaxies torn to pieces by immense explosions, and other weird phenomenons created by the massive energy output.

  • @fuunguus

It's don't have to be an entire galaxy, it could just be a small cluster of antimatter found in the vast universe.

There's paradox associated with it though. They claimed that if there's antimatter galaxy, why don't we see a huge flash of light from their annihilation with matter? However to date, no one can rule out the possibility of finding such galaxy.

In fact, there're certain claims that they've found antimatter in our own Milky Way (I can't justify the validity of it.)

  • @CressKayEdge

Oh ok. I guess there might be small pockets of antimatter, but it probably is extreamly rare.

  • @fuunguus Anti-matter does not occur naturally. At least not in amounts that would be useful for human use. Anti-matter will have to be mass produced artificially. The first Anti-Matter production will be in space based around huge solar farms.

  • you get 100% fuel burn so the mileage is great, but the cost of fuel is staggering...
