  • @doherty366 : Is this MANOR KESTREL cb radio?

  • @doherty366 is not MANOR?

  • What cb radio is it?

  • I wish we used FM CB over here in the states.

  • its cb, don't get up your own asses with technology speak. gsm cellphones mess with all radios and bleedover is inevitable with the channel spacing and old rtx. have you not heard of fun? also, amateur radio is nothing like the old am cb days ffs. great video and enjoy the hobby. its all radio

  • I had one of these rigs labelled up a Communicator. Good rig from the 80s, happy days! CB here in Norfolk is dead bar the odd tractor driver talking shit. The days of calling for a chat using '14 for a copy' are over. I,m on Amateur radio now and it is better, better radios, more power, repeaters, ssb, and loads of folks to chat to. Its how cb used to be in the AM days only legal. Best 73from the Bionic Budgie.

  • how quaint,CB ,thats MSN from the oldern days

  • YES ILD SAY THAT ITS BETTER THAN MSN-OR ANY CHAT ROOM AS ITs REAL & MORE FUN...RED DEVILL OF SUSSEX

  • BREAKER BREAK..THIS WAS ME DXING..ITS QUITE USAL FOR IT FOR BE LIKE THIS ON THE SOUTH COST..78S 73s IM GONE..(RED DEVILL OF SUSSEX)

  • When was this then ? CB has been dead for years it great in the 80's

  • poor channel rejection on those radios , look at the broadband /bleed over on channel 20 , otherwise they where a good rig in there day , thanks for the blast from the past

  • not only that but in the first few secs I could hear interference from a gsm cellphone.

a higher quality alternative is to use a professional mobile gmrs radio.

it is completely legal if you use the gmrs channels have a license and dont go over 5o watts.

  • you get bleedover in any rig even cobra 148's weren't immune to adjacent channel interference, if you think about it logically channels are only spaced 10khz apart after 30 years on cb radio i'm now an amatuer who uses a kenwood TS2000 that's worth the best part of 2k and i still get bleedover even with that.
