  • yeah...thats safe for the flying public! great pilot btw.

  • This is my cousin flying this approach.... the guy has very big balls and hes a great Air Force trained pilot

  • please dear god someone tell me the name of the airport !!!!!

  • @0oCrimsono0 Toncontin Airport, Tegucigalpa, Honduras

  • that was a marvelous crosswind landing... especially considering the hills around it.

i am also curious where is this airport with such hilly surrounding areas...

  • Damn - looks more like a landing as an Olympic sport rather than an everyday commercial landing.

  • Where is this to?

  • Comment removed

  • Does everyone realise that the majority of comments complaining about the landing aren't real pilots but just play flight simulator?

  • @stoopidhaters Haha. You're silly. It was a "He"

  • Why do people call the pilot a 'He', women can be pilot's too. Sexist bastards

  • @stoopidhaters haha your a tramp!

  • LOL @ 0:07 "Don't be afraid". I would definitely be afraid If I was filming or the pilot.

  • Actually this is a sub-par landing, C-. All of their performance numbers are based on the aircraft crossing the Landing Threshold (white stripe across runway) at 50' above the surface. He touched down prior to the threshold. By doing so he did not maintain the proper margin above terrain during the approach. The threshold is "Displaced" (moved farther down runway) to accommodate the steep terrain.

He also failed to align the fuselage with the runway prior to lowering the nosewheel.

  • Toncontin Airport (the one here) in the capital of Honduras is consider the #2 worst airport to land in the world. The #1 is somewhere by Mt Everest which when you land you are actually going uphill to slow the plane. Great Places, Greater Pilots.

  • great job , cannot better

  • mmm. was waiting for the amazing land but it never came. from what I saw here was a normal, good landing. maybe the smoke created when the tires touched the runway was amazing, I guess.

  • @itachi005 lol, depends on your definition of amazing, look how short that runway is, thats for teensy weensy little planes to land on, the fact that he did that with crosswinds even, is, just, pure talent... i love pilots

  • @Obzy666 You want to see a short runway??? Look for the one by Mt Everest dont actually know the name, is actually in a mountain and when you land you are actually going uphill to slow the plane....Crazy stuff check it out.

  • I landed in Honduras last year. The landing didn't seem all that bad.

  • This is the mother of all landings, good clip.

  • This guy isn't crazy, this is Toncontin Intl in Honduras (I think its honduras) only the most experienced pilots can grease this landing, its a low level circle to land approach, all carried out at altitude making it harder, as the engines and handling are far less effective the igher you are above sea level. don't say the guy's crazy unless you know what you are talking about!

  • What a badass...

  • i don't know why they made airport at this place...

  • Damn this airport is worse than Kei Tek!

  • That was actually a skilled landing. He made his turn within regulations and actually had a pretty smooth approach. The presence of of a cross wind would explain the landing angle, as if he flew directly he would either drift in the the rough, and loose their gear, or have to brake hard. The pilot was committed to his approach, and seemed to take each step correctly.

  • its controlled crashing .....ask any pilot

  • @Nashoba07 We like to think of it more as a controlled free fall, rather than "controlled crashing"

  • これこわ

  • how is he crazy

  • WHAT AIRPORT IS THAT?

  • @DNICE9ER Toncontin Intl. Tegucicalpa, Honduras in Central America

  • He didn't land it straight so its not that amazing. :P

  • Its called a crosswind landing you sack of shit :P

  • "because he was landing in one of the world's most dangerous airport to land in".. WHY WOULD THEY MAKE AN AIRPORT DANGEROUS TO LAND IN?!?!

  • @wintensity Because "they" do not have another option. Probably about money. It's always about money.

  • I agree the pilot did a good job. I wonder if the passengers were warned that they would be landing in such a small strip so they didn't get really freaked? That turn and sideways landing would have given me some shaky legs afterward!

  • @Mandy7D7 "It looks small from the angle of observation"

  • I still feel its an unneccessary risk of life, there must be a better solution than this.... I bet the pilots would not land there if they had a choice...

  • I've seen this airport before but can't remember where it is. But notorious for this type of landing. Very dangerous. As for comment about taxing across the grass. Probably.. People get used to big city airports, but don't forget the majority of airports in the world don't have gateways, big terminals, ect.

  • REAL PILOT REAL LANDING REAL DANGER

  • Where is the taxi way to the terminal? The plane has to get on the grass to get to the terminal? Was this an emergency landing?

  • Thta's quite a fast approach ?

  • how on earth is this fake, use your brain

  • you need a lot of bravery for that

  • i would of been bricking it!!! =D

  • I hate countries that cant afford a decent airport and then put everyones life in danger just to say they have a landing strip..... where the hell is the airport building anyway.... an air tower in the middle of the runway would have made everything more funny.....

  • @YouTabacco

    Remember.

All your high quality way of life is built up on all those miserable countries, through commercial slavery controlled by huge transnational corporations. You can have decent airports, BECAUSE ALL THOSE COUNTRIES PAYS THEM FOUR YOU!!!

  • Some of these countries just seem to build an airport wherever there's a bit of a clearing.

  • how is that fake?

  • This airpot is somewhere in Honduras i think...

  • VERY GOODDDDDDDD

  • awesome vid

  • thats so a good pilot!!!

  • guys the pilot is actually a great pilot , because he was landing in one of the world's most dangerous airport to land in and to add more challenge, there was also crosswind

  • Perspective!

  • nice landing! wow that runway looks really short for large aircrafts to be landing on. that landing was AMAZING.

    great footage thanks!

  • He's not a crazy pilot... just a pilot that does what he has to. Tegucigalpa's airport is a good challenge...

  • Comment removed

  • there is no other way he could land, so i think is is a normal landing?!

  • I concur that airport is a toilet bowl of mountains I've landed there before in a 737

  • @GaGrizZly every landing you walk away from is a good landing...

  • @GaGrizZly is is? REALLY IT SHOULD BEEN IT IS. whats your I.Q level

  • @GaGrizZly read higher rated comment above

  • holy shit !

    wheres this place?

  • Tegucigalpa in Honduras.

  • koolkool

but wat countrey is it ?:D lol

give me some info plz. lo0o0olz

  • Honduras. 1 runways 02 and 20 02 is the runway that you turn for landing.

  • honduras is its own country man. LOL

  • looks fun to try in a sim...

  • Holy smoke! Remind me to come in on a helicopter when visiting this place...

  • When your flying a 757, that sort of stuff is easy. Try it in a A380, see wat happens!!!

    LOL

  • vivan los pilotos de u s a son los mejores del mundo que viva honduras

  • I've seen crazier, but that was still pretty good

  • i will like to know what airport it is to see how other aircrafts land on it.....

  • I believe it's Toncontin International in Honduras

  • what country is that.....please when you put a video give details about the location..

  • edek nie patrz się

  • whata approach :)

  • American Airlines B757-200

  • yep

  • no, it American lines.. ;d

  • polish lines ? amazing ;p

  • he nearly hit that hill and the landing :O very good pilot :D

  • It's a very good pilot! This is the only way to land at this runway. Nice work, but dangerous!

  • A pilot landing like that in the US would get a lecture from the control tower and possibly an action on his license. Not for the approach (which was very low ... but legal), but for the landing itself. He landed before the displaced threshold. A displaced threshold can be used for takeoffs but not for landings. The concrete there isn't reinforced like the rest of the runway... that's why you can use it to take off but not to land.

  • no doubt! however.. check out the length of that runway.. maybe a good excuse for such an action!!

  • yea! thats what they say in St. Marteen (TNCM)and look at all the crazy approaches! Ill include myself on a few lol! if the runway is short then it should have big or heavy airplane operations! PERIOD! so who ever aloud this is wrong from the start! and if its a need! like in a small island or country, where there is really no options... rules are made to be broken my friend!

  • Mr. "know it all"

    LOL

  • That was way cool.. I have been there before working for my two airlines...

  • no way..O.o amazing

  • I like this pilot, he's hardcore, "we're coming for a hill!! OMG! this is the end! *miss* just kidding" I wanna be a pilot now

  • holy cow! he nearly hit that hill!

  • that is a very fast sketchy landing, true test.

  • holy shit, he nearly hit that hill

  • i would have loved to have been where them people were stod :)

  • this is much like the kamloops airport

  • se acaba de estrellar un avion de taca hoy may 30th 2008

one airbus of Taca Airlines (Salvadorean Airline) had been crashed on may 30th 2008

  • Thats a normal every day landing in the city of Tegucigalpa, Honduras... runway is only 1.8 Km

  • good landing

  • hes not a crazy pilot, some smart guy put the runway at the bottom of a hill

  • HOLY S#it what an airpot :o

  • is that in honduras?

  • TGU I think.. There will be an accident there someday. The approach is down a hill. All you need is a little microburth and youll crash short

  • very harsh landing

  • Wann fliegen wir noch mal? äh

  • hello , where is that approach ??? i would like to know where is the shorty rwy greetings

  • Lol it looked like he was gonna land on the grass for a min

  • Good vid and a GOOD LANDING!! :)
