  • Great job fellers!

  • it's really not that hard to play over that fiddle line. although im really used to playing over regular songs as practice.

  • OMG lovely track! HANDS ON FIRE!! lolol

  • I love playing along with the fiddle. I don't play a lot of notes and the fiddle part shows how to play fast triplets in time in a relaxed musical way. Its called practice for a reason. To me the idea is to play along and get the timing and feel of the fiddle part and when it becomes part of muscle memory the riffs will just come out when you want them to. Key is G major. Can use Maj ands minor G pentatonic and G mixolydian and major penatonic with chromatics on aLL THREE CHORD ROOTS

  • G#m is tone.

  • @erick3581 Actually... Gm is the tone... Maybe your guitar is tuned half step down!

  • ROCK N ROLL WHOOOOHH

  • I love it! Thanks for posting!

  • i just can't jam over that fiddle ):

  • fiddle is far to much...it's nice but far to much

  • nice. more, please

  • yeah, try not to just 'solo' over the fiddly, i really just try and follow the melody like @Xlorntabis said, anyone know of a country track thats similar w/o the fiddly fidd- for so i can play on? I usually play tech death metal and slam, but I am loving any country/blues in G, whip out the Ibby SA or 7 string and hillbilly it up- now matter how much metal I play the Oklahoma always hangs out from time to time..or the Tulsa ...w/e I jam this shit everyday!

  • lots of fun and very cool.

  • mate your backing trax are the bollox.. i dont know if you recorded them or just downloaded them, but they are wey cool dude

  • It's just for practice. Play cat and mouse with the fiddle, its all good. I enjoy the length, good practice material for trying to run scales and imitate the fiddle's melody. If playing live you won't need a backing track hopefully. Just need at those times to practice not stepping on others.

  • drums, bass and piano is all thats needed in a country backing track. the violin makes it almost impossible to jam with

  • @Megamylyfe I find the violin inspiring :)

  • Just blow right over that violin, no problem

  • without the violin it would be great... but that thing makes it allmost impossible to solo

  • A great excercise is to try and play (with) what the fiddle is playing.

  • Great track ...the viloin is distracting however.

  • thanks

  • its workin man.....

  • what key is this in ?

  • Hi its in (G) its a good little jam.

  • Hell Yeah ... That's a GREAT Track to play along with !!!

    Thank you for sharing.

    David

  • great to jam along with... cheers!

  • i never realized i suck so much at guitar =(

  • Great Backing Track... thanks a lot... 5 stars

  • Awsome track for practicing my mandolin scales. Thanks!

  • It's an awesome track...but for one problem. If you try and solo over it on guitar, it's like stepping all over the fiddle...and the fiddle playing is killer. This isn't a backing track because the fiddle is leading, and that's cool. I'm all for it. I wish I could play it. But it doesn't work in this context.

  • very true, last thing u should practice in improvizing is playing over the top of another!! Let the man play his fiddle!

  • @swardmusic but at the same time, when you're not use to improvise on this kind of music, the fiddle helps a lot to find some cool riffs to play when you're learning by hear.

  • @MedicTJ You couldn't be more wrong.Maybe it's just to complicated for you to play a lead along with the fiddle that compliments. For this it's a perfect backing track

  • @JeffryArntzen

It's not too complicated for me to play over. Believe me. I'm saying that the fiddle is leading and anyone that hears this will hear the same thing. Now, if there were counterpoint parts in it, then that's one thing. But if you throw lead guitar over this it's a jumbled mess. Are you talking about the guitar following the fiddle note for note and breaking off into harmony sections here and there? If so, then it's not a backing track. There's no improv in that.

  • @MedicTJ Maybe you should think about trying to accompany the fiddle here with the guitar and expand your musical ideas for how the guitar might fit in on this track. I do agree that it is great fiddle playing.

  • @MedicTJ Well you know what they say... Every day Im fiddlin!

  • @MedicTJ

who said you should solo? - try accompanying the fiddle!

  • Thanks for the jam, i enjoyed playing along with this one. 5stars Im subscibing!

  • i accidentally clicked 1 star instead of 'play'.

super sorry, it's a great track.

  • I hit 5 stars to make up for it. I'm uploading my video response to the Latin jam track one now. I'l do this one and a few others today also If I have time. These tracks are cool...

  • I do that all the time :P

  • Yeah me too...lol...I think if you click 5 star after hitting the wrong one it will correct it.

  • The open topE, B, G and D strings are good for picking between them and fretted notes.

  • Cool track to work-out with.

  • awesome job!!!! thanks for posting

  • Thanks for posting. *****

  • this is a very good backing track for those who wants to solo over it. It's in G. Just like country blues backing track must be, G - C - D. Simple to practise some solo.

  • I'll give it a shot.
