  • There really isn't a good way to tell if someones on steroids unless you do tests. Although, steroids don't make you tired faster. They make you less tired because they burn fat quicker and make you gain more muscle. ( assuming you workout out aswell ) They improve every physical aspect of a person. The bad side effects would come later in life.

  • If he is using steroids then he looks great. Because when you use steroids, there are major side effects, massive veins, bloated stomach, out of breath alot. Scooby is none of those, he has been weight lifting for many many years, if he used steroids he would be huge! Get over yourself plajaworldbitme.

  • some body builders use vitamin e pills (the oil ones), cut them, and spread the oil on the stretch marks to make them go away

  • They are not going away and it doesn't matter how much oil/remedies/vitamins you apply. They will fade a bit over time though.

  • I did dips like you recommended for triceps a few days ago but I have had DOMS since. Do you know any ways of getting rid of/preventing DOMS? I have seen some 'solutions' online but everyone says something different. Since you obviously know a lot about fitness and lifting I figured that you input would be more truthful than any random person who posts things online.

  • DOMS is GOOD!!!!!! Cherish it! Please see my video , "No Pain, No Gain?"

  • DOMS can be reduced by drinking water after your workout along with simple carbs and a fast absorbing protein ie. wpi

  • Dips are the number one exercise for your tricep growth. The only thing that comes close is the close-grip bench. Dips are a "closed-chain exercise" and this means your whole body moves (chinups, dips, squats etc.) and our bodies just take these exercises more seriously as they are fundamentally harder and more practical - just do your dips.

    To burn your muslce is almost impossible, the only way you would do it its by running a marathon each day.

  • i have been lifting for years and have researched a lot of techniques and exercises. perhaps your mistaking the swinging motion of the dip as a combination between doing a dip and adding a crunch at the end to work the abs as well. although it may seem like they are doing the dip wrong, they are just combining exercises

  • can you do them on a straight surface that's behind you, such as the edge of a bench?

  • *with your legs straight out and heels on the ground, almost in like an L shape.

  • you -can- it dips like that, but it's not the most effective way to. when you have your feet on the ground, they support a good deal of the weight which makes the press part that much easier.

    Secondly, I have problems doing them in that manner because having the arms behind the plane of the bottom in the down position really puts a great deal of strain on the shoulder socket, and in the up postion the wrists are bent into an uncomfortable acute angle.

  • similar to a pushup, but with the hands near the midsection rather than chest area.

    I also feel the range of motion is decreased, and it doesn't exactly make my lower back feel great.

    There are just other ways to do the exercize that work more efficiently and are less taxing on joints, spine, or primarily the wrists. for me anyway.

  • Thanks Scooby. I've been working out hard for just over a month, doing mostly just 250 pushups on chairs every other day and benchpress and curls, and occasionally pullups. But the pushups put about another good inch on the back of my arms, and now I'm doing dips and skull crushers too. You've got some informative videos, keep it up.

  • Dips are a very small part of a lifting regimen the most important aspect of growing huge arms are (in this order) Diet, Genetic potential, anabolics (not for everyone) rest, and then exercise. You see he can lift as much as he wants but if he doesnt give his body the building blocks (food/diet) to repair itself bigger and better the next time then all the other aspects dont matter. In short if you want big arms work the tri,and bi eat clean and big allow for rest and do it all over again.
