If it's "no", then you'd have to concede that the word eunuch means celibate (which is the only other meaning in the context of that passage where Jesus just happened to be discussing marriage and sexual relations, not positions in a court of a King).
Many requirements to be Eunuch, one is celibacy. But it is not required, nor does it make one a better follower of Christ. Jesus never said(nor does anyone else in the Bible) that being single makes you a better follower of Christ.

Jesus is talking about Married people when he talks about adultery in Matthew 19 (which is the passage we are discussing here).

As for the rest of it, Jesus literally said later on in Matthew 19 that those who leave their wife to serve Him will be rewarded 100 times more than if they hadn't. So, Jesus does say that it makes you a better Christian (at least by one hundred fold).
GOd invented marriage, God made it good. So if God made it good, then how can that make you less of a follower if you are married. A married couple serving the Lord together, is better than one serving alone.

The Apostle Paul (Who was led by the Holy Spirit) stated that those in leadership of the church must be allowed to marry, but must be the husband of one wife, so mutli-wives, including those divorced would be excluded, and also women would be excluded, since a woman cannot be the husband of one wife. This is all in 1 timothy. The reason why the RCC wanted their leaders to remain single is that the church did not want to loose wealth in taking care of offspring.

Peter was not given the leadership of The Church until John 21. Before that, Peter is mentioned to have been married (Matthew 8:14 speaks of his mother in law).

If anything, Paul states that a Bishop can only be married 1 time. If his wife dies then, is the Bishop "not" allowed to be married? Once means only 1 time, right? So, doesn't Paul here forbid multiple marriages, thus enforcing celibacy on the Bishop who loses a wife (through death, divorce, whatever)?

there was no need to formally excommunicate hitler. At the tiem that hitler was doing these thigs, he had already publically rejected teh catholic faith and separated himself from it by word and deed. Moreover, by not formal excommunication was breaking a inspired theocratic command. - 2 Timothy 2:17, 18; 1 Corinthians 5:6; 2 John 1:10. Jesus is talking about Married people when he talks about adultery in Matthew 19 (which is the passage we are discussing here).

Now that that's cleared up, let's get back to eunuchs and what Jesus meant when He said that some make themselves eunuchs for the sake of the kingdom of heaven....do you believe Jesus was saying that they castrate themselves if eunuch doesn't mean celibate there?

As for the rest of it, Jesus literally said later on in Matthew 19 that those who leave their wife to serve Him will be rewarded 100 times more than if they hadn't. So, Jesus does say that it makes you a better Christian (at least by one hundred fold).

GOd invented marriage, God made it good. So if God made it good, then how can that make you less of a follower if you are married. A married couple serving the Lord together, is better than one serving alone.

The scriptures I've posted directly contradict that statement. They say that it is better to be alone and to focus all your energies on God.
Unless you believe Jesus was lieing when He said that those who leave behind their wife and children and family (being alone) to follow Him would be rewarded 100 times more than those who didn't?

I don't remember reading that--It says literally:
"There is no man that hath LEFT house, or wife, or brethren, or parents, or children, for the kingdom of God's sake, who shall not receive manifold more in this time, and in the world to come eternal life."
I didn't read anything about someone else "disowning" them first. If we are just using our own personal views on verses, there could be thousands of views, so I think it's better to just stick with what the verse actually says.

1 Corinthians 7:32-33
"But I would have you without carefulness.
He that is unmarried careth for the things that belong to the Lord, how he may please the Lord:
But he that is married careth for the things that are of the world, how he may please his wife."
Question:
Now, who do you think is the better Christian?
The one who serves the world and his wife?
Or the one who serves God exclusively?

A married couple serving the Lord is like a triangle, one starts at the one bottom end and the other is at the other bottom end, start first by serving God, then they get closer to each other.

Why don't you answer TR questions? Why do you ignore what St. Paul said about celibacy? Didn't you read the verses that I and TR posted? I think we posted the same verse--you said that no where in the Bible does it say that being single makes you a better Christian, but 1 Cor. 7 says just that! Why don't you comment on 1 Cor. 7: 32-33 ?

It is not saying that being single makes you a better follower of Christ. It is saying that Marriage is designed for two People to serve the Lord Together in a special way. (which is one reason why Christians should never marry non-christians.) Becareful who you marry. God invented the marriage. God made it good.

The Apostle Paul (Who was led by the Holy Spirit) stated that those in leadership of the church must be allowed to marry, but must be the husband of one wife, so mutli-wives, including those divorced would be excluded, and also women would be excluded, since a woman cannot be the husband of one wife. This is all in 1 timothy. The reason why the RCC wanted their leaders to remain single is that the church did not want to loose wealth in taking care of offspring.

DTDT why do you want leaders in the Church to be more "concerned about the affairs of this world"? Yes, the leaders are "allowed" to marry but St. Paul strongly urged them to be single. BTW, many Catholic Priests ARE married.
"I would like you to be free from concern. An unmarried man is concerned about the Lord's affairs—how he can please the Lord. But a married man is concerned about the affairs of this world—how he can please his wife—and his interests are divided. "(1 Cor. 7:32-34)

Peter was not given the leadership of The Church until John 21. Before that, Peter is mentioned to have been married (Matthew 8:14 speaks of his mother in law).

Could you show me the verse & chapter that says that Church leaders "must' be allowed to be married? I cannot find that in any of the books of Timothy.
If anything, Paul states that a Bishop can only be married 1 time. If his wife dies then, is the Bishop "not" allowed to be married? Once means only 1 time, right? So, doesn't Paul here forbid multiple marriages, thus enforcing celibacy on the Bishop who loses a wife (through death, divorce, whatever)?

You do know that Paul himself was celibate Priest, right?
So, he being a celibate Priest, we have to take his teachings from a celibate Priest's point of view.
Remember, Saint Paul never forbids celibacy and to the contrary, he literally celibates celibacy and says that it's better to be celibate.
So, if it's better to be celibate (according to Saint Paul who is led by The Holy Spirit), why would you want "less" than better for Bishops?

Word. 17% of The Apostles were corrupt (Judas). All The Apostles abandoned Jesus at the cross except one (Saint John).
I'd like to see one Church that was made up of perfect human beings on earth.
I think it's fine to point out the faults of our religious leaders as it relates to their work.
But when the people start telling The Church what to do, that's like the tail wagging the dog.
Vatican II...love it, or leave The Church.

Ok, here goes...1st of all, the rate of sexual abuse among priests is "less than" that of the general population so based on your reasoning, you would have to drop out of the entire human race since non-Catholic Clergy humans abuse/molest children at a far higher rate.

Why are you the only one appalled by the Hierarchy giving Ted Kennedy a funeral? Well many people are pissed off at the Church but the Bishops are too chicken to speak openly and refuse a Catholic burial, because it "might upset his family" he should have thought of that before, or "Jesus loves every one" yes he does but Jesus says "I came to bring the sword" If this guy reduced the Church in his life time and attacked it why then should the Church allow him a funeral
