I like that you can see some geniune emotion in the CP of Denmark. Princess Maxima of the Netherlands was not allowed to have her father attend the wedding.
@Ann3shoes i only know the situation in the Netherlands. In the Netherlans, a couple is married in the city hall (civil marriage) before they enter the church. So they are already married when they enter the church, thats why they walk together. Probably its the same in Norway. :)
Wow I give gold stars to Frederick and Mary for sheer drama, Mette-Marit for best gown, Maxima most flattering tiara/veil/hair combo, and and Victoria and Daniel for most clearly infatuated. Very cool video, thank you.
All nice. But the Dutch crown prince and crown princess topped the list. It was grand, stately as a royal wedding should be. I was impressed with the pipe organ music, and then to view the entrance from about - beautiful. Also seem there was more space in the Dutch church compared to the other churches.
stunning dresses in the first clip..the simple elegance is quite striking although the bridesmaid could have a shed a kilo or two? the music is stunning with fred and mary and I agree with the video maker that this would be terrifying so they all do very well indeed.
Nothing beats that aerial view (entrance of the Prince of Orange and his bride) with the doors of the mighty organ opening while the couple enters beneath it.
I am very happy to see the vidoe from you, hopefully the others also are happy for You Bridal entrance for the next heirs to the thrones of Norway, Netherlands, Denmark and Sweden
@Reflectxart Oh! Thank you so much. I hear that song in the movie "The young Victoria" and i fell in loveee!!... Forgive me for my bad english :( I'm Peruvian!!... Kisses!!
It's so lovely to see brides wearing elegant modest wedding gowns in all the Royal weddings in Britain and Europe. Thank heavens they don't wear those ridiculous strapless numbers so popular with common shop-girl brides that all look cheap and the same no matter how much money is spent on them.. So tacky to see them yanking at the bodice all through the wedding celebrations. Elegance is eternal.
Because the tradition of the father giving away his daughter has its roots in the days of arranged marriages. Daughters in those times were considered their father's property. It was the father's right to give his child to the groom, usually for a price.
Norwegia is renowned for its gender equality and couples normally walk to the altar together :)

Haakon has gotten better looking with age. I just discovered him this year, and I thought he was always that hott/sexy. WoW that aerial view of Maxima's church is amazing. Frederick of Denmark is also another man who has gotten better with age. I must admit, I would not want a man in a kilt escorting me down the aisle.
Look, I'm not bashing you, Mary or your video--don't get so bent out of shape over something as benign as MY interpretation of Mary's expression 7 years ago. Stop losing sleep over it, it's not worth the effort.
@tigerlilly9772 Err...who said I was losing sleep over this? lol I was simply questioning your comments. I'm entitled to question your opinion just as you are entitled to give it. No one is 'bent over it'. But if it makes you feel somewhat important to think that I am then be my guest. I'm not full of my own self-importance to think that some random youtube comment I made is making a person 'lose sleep'. Thanks for the entertainment anyway.
Could Mary have smiled less? I don't think so. Either a bad case of nerves, or a little too full of herself. Of this group of weddings, I like the Swedish one the best.
@tigerlilly9772 Anyone would be nervous if they knew that you were about to get married into a Royal Family, in front of all of Australia and Europe. Mix into that the excitement and the stress to get to that point. I don't know how you see her as full of herself under those circumstances.
@girlgossipshow- I didn't say that I saw her as full of herself...I said that she either had a bad case of nerves or a little too full of herself. Because people who don't smile or generally look happy during a happy event tend to look smug. My perception is just my perception. Nobody has to share them or agree.
@tigerlilly9772 When you start a sentence with, "Could Mary have smiled less?" And follow it by, "she either had bad case of nerves or a little full of herself," you are generally coming to that perception because of what you 'see' here in this video. So the natural conclusion a person would get by reading your comments, is that you are basing your opinions on that. Therefore, you actually did say you 'saw' her as full of herself. How else did u form your opinion of her then?
@girlgossipsho--I'm not going to fight over something as trivial as my perception of a few moments of footage. Clearly we don't have the same perception of the same clip. You know what? That's allowed. and neither of us has to defend it. Go pick on someone else please.
@tigerlilly9772 lol pick on someone else? So I question your opinion on how you came about your perception and I'm picking on you? If you are misconstruing your own words and contradicting your own opinions then people have no right to question that? Look at your comments. You point out something you obviously saw on this video about Mary, and then you say you didn't say she was full of herself when you stated clearly in your first post exactly that? You're confusing not only me but yourself.
