@axelle32 Technically it's not Katherine Heigl's fault. It's the writers. T.R Knight asked to be released from his contract, the same as her. They wrote him off nobley. It was totally unexpected but when I thought about it, that's exactly how George would die, helping someone else. Now, K.H asked to be released and the writers send her off as the insensitive b**** who hurt Alex. It's not her fault. She didn't write the script. I still don't understand why they did it like that.

Shonda said Alex would get closure last season...that did NOT happen. I can't truly picture Alex with anyone else, Katherine Heigl needs to come back. At the very least for one episode, something! Shonda needs to work out something. Whatever happened with Katherine and Grey's, she certainly was not an insignificant character and she and Alex need proper closure. I'll always picture her as the love of Alex's life compared with everyone else he's been paired with especially.

Izzie was wrong to leave without asking for explanations, but Alex came back .. he said he loved her and wanted a woman who remained .. Izzie was back to stay! was the pride of Alex to make him say those things that really did not think ! This was a forced end because Katherine Heigl leaving the series otherwise would certainly have managed to overcome this crisis because this love, a couple who loves in this way can not be separated like this, can not end like this!

Well...I think this is the last we will ever see of Izzy. Katherine Heigl has publicly stated she has no intentions of ever returning to Grey's Anatomy. She could have at least finished up the Alex / Izzy storyline ...there needs to be some sort of closure for them.

I don't know what Katherine Heigl deserved, but I do know that Izzie did not deserve to be written off like that, and for sure, Alex definitely did not deserve to be so left alone! Rhimes has done injustice to her character - she should've killed Izzie in the first place, and spared us the despair of watching our favourite character termed insensitive! Izzie, insensitive? It's so frustrating! How could someone who cut an LVAD leave the love of her life? It's entirely fault of the writers!

right from the first episode of this show i knew that izzie & alex belong together so when they did get together i was happy and then they broke up because alex was an ass beyond words and izzie fell in love with denny then he died and they sort of get together again. that's when i started to wish that they'll stay together and get married which they did but then THIS happened and i really felt sad because they were the only couple i like from start to end (even MerDer annoys me at some point)

She wanted to fix things between them, but he said that he deserved something better than her because she left without an explanation...she only left a letter to him. The only positive thing, is that her character is still alive (she could come back as a guest) and that in season finale when he is hurt...he calls her and said: "Iz do not go..." "I am sorry" :D

Honestly, I think this is one of the best scenes in Grey's history and Izzie couldn't have had a better exit (short of death). It provides a perfect ending to her storyline and it was beautifully done.

no Katherine isn't leaving. She took a maternity leave after adopting a child. So the show suffered a lot because the relationship built up but people are understanding what happened. And what Alex said was so sad. So Katherine won't be returning till later because she's busy raising her adopted child :) does that help?
