  • It IS actually from 1928, shortly before the election. I have an MP3 with these early A&A eps in my collection.

    There is an equally interesting episode from 1948 (The Sercret Melody) broadcast on the eve of that year's election with barbed satire on Truman, Thomas Dewey (his opponent), & Social Security. That episode ends with A&A reminding their audience to vote. Fascinating stuff.

  • This show must be from before November, 1928. That is when Hoover was elected. But is after the Republican nominating convention, which was over on June 15, 1928.

    Maybe it says 1929 because that is when it was released in record form.
