  • You are amazing! This has been one of the most educational videos I have ever seen in my life. You are amazing! thanks for making this so profesional and well thought of!

  • The longest living people on earth, who live in the wilds of Siberia, eat plenty of organ meats and eggs. Saturated animals fats are essential for health, especially heart, liver, and brain function. Raw veganism would be amazing if only you included some animal products.Go hunt some wild game. Nothing better for you.

  • Awesome man I was a vegan for a year and stopped, now I feel like crap I plan to go raw in january

  • You remind me of the tall white guy from Whose Line is it Anyway? great video!

  • did you film this in 1975 ?? nice shirt .

  • This is a great, pretty thorough, explanation of a transition into raw veganism... and I'm glad you touched on the cleansing reactions because not all of us expect that when we first go raw! :)

  • I think I'm going to stop smoking cigs first.

  • Excellent video. I've been a vegan for about a year and a half and I'm loving it. I don't think I will make the transition to a raw vegan anytime soon, but I greatly appreciate this information. It has motivated me to stay healthy and eat natural.

  • " ... we can either slowly kill ourselves with denatured foods, or we can thrive on the energy of lice food..." here is my suggestion- You my friend need to go get laid and have a nice juicy steak

  • @YamahaMiro troll on the internet. searches for videos about raw veganism. leaves negative comment. here is my suggestion- you my friend need to get off the computer, get laid, and eat real food, or go fuck yourself.

  • U are great!!I'm vegan and right now i am passing to raw food..it's a miracle!!

    Greetings from Italy

  • Im all for this diet and could say a lotta good things about this, but it is my nature to criticize. I find it annoying when people compare humans to animals in their argumentation. You could end up using that to argue almost anything because less face it, no matter how "in tune with nature" you are, people do pretty much everything differently from any other life form on earth. Saying that does nothing to prove that raising the temp. alters the health benefits of food.

  • This is a school example of a beta male

  • Whoa! Dude looks like a cancer patient. Someone get this man a steak!!!

  • how come all vegans are gay and always happy

im from compton and im black and want to be vegan

but i dont want to turn fruity though

  • im a vegatern but i want to become a raw vegan and this helps

  • Great video!

  • Wonderful information! Thank you!

  • I've been off meat completely for 2 months. I'm thinking of going vegan.

  • This guy knows what he is talking about.

  • I'm already vegan, I'd like to have more raw in my diet =[ but I have allergies to most fruits so fruit juices are out

  • So eating raw food brings out your inner douchebag? Let me tell you about existentialism while we're already here.

  • Thank you :)

If you have time to respond, I am curious what is your opinion about water or juice fasting? Do you think it is a good idea to do once in a while?

  • Dude you are wonderful. :)

I have been trying to eat as raw as possible and feel great. I still eat a little bit of seafood. That's the only animal source. But when I eat pizza or something like that I lose my natural high, I feel my body shutting down, sick and even vomit. Or if I don't vomit I will not go to the bathroom for a long time. I guess my body became very sensitive and cannot process junk anymore. I am interested, how does your body react to junk?

  • @Coml3teBliss as you learn your bodies language, naturally you will become more aware of the effect 'junk' has on it. it will begin to speak to you in definite ways and you will come to know what to eat and when. a little junk every now and then is probably a good thing; in order to keep the boundless spirit alive. too many food fanatics let their consciousness contract to their constant bodily concerns. let go and live on the energy of happy thoughts and kind intention to yourself and others

  • Why is it you hippies stopped cooking food?

I get the vegan thing, sure, its a little overboard, but i get the reasoning.

I don't get the reasoning for not cooking it.

  • @TheDeistAngle Cooking vegetables/fruits kills many of the nutrients.

  • @Vegluv091

You kill some enzyimes in a few foods.

I completley understand eating sprouts raw, because they are enzymes powerhouses, but if you eat sprouts once a *week* you've got more than enough enzymes, and you won't need the negligable enzymes found in a tomtato.

  • I am not a raw vegan but I am a vegan and I really do admire you for leading that kind of life. =)

  • That first minute made so much sense! I've been vegan for the past year, and I'm just now considering going raw. This was a great video to watch. Thank you so much!

  • Beautiful video. I love it. Thank you.

  • 5:10 oups, avocado is a fat fruit but does is NOT an excellent source of carbohydrates, little mistake there. No worries. ;)

  • i got my first e-cig one year ago. it satisfies my nicotin need but i still often crave real cigarettes. i know they r really harmful. ecigs dont contain tar and do not cause cancer but on the other had i get a much higher dosis of nicotin from electronic smoking, wich sometimes makes me sleep bad. and its bat for the blood preasure...sooner or later i ll quit smoking at all. what i silly think to do anyway.. r u a 100% raw vegan? for how long?

  • you = boss.

  • i became a vegan 6months ago. all the problems i had with my stomache and digestion disapeared. I m sure the best way to eat is raw, but I CANT GIVE UP BREAD.

I started growing sprouts. it makes it a little easier to forgo bread.

But still... i know bread is carp .. but i crave it so much

  • @NEUHEITEN100

... there is this theory, its actually really true if you think about it, but it states that a person is a carber, a carnivore, or both. You have successfully dropped protien, so you must not be the last two.... your body craves breads but you also have to understand that most people are allergic to gluten in breads pastas, etc. so if you are having any problems with weight loss or allergies or anything, try dropping the bread or getting a gluten free substitute.

  • @7xomelissamaexo7 i ve only two bad things left in my life. one is bread and the other is tabcco. I think i ll focus on the worst first- the tabacco. But then i m gonna turn into raw.

Whats a carber? I lost 12 pounds during my first vegan month. since i was 14 my weight has always been 140 pounds. some say i look a lil skinny now.. but i dont mind, i feel better!

  • @NEUHEITEN100 tabacco is a hard one... Have you heard of electronic cigs? I don't really recommend them if you want to quit nicotine all together, but if you want to keep smoking, that might be an alternative. a carber is someone who craves breads pastas etc, but realize with every change in lifestyle there are both pros and cons.

  • * Watches video while eating chimichanga *

  • You are a kind soul. Thank you for shining your goodness on the world!

  • You guys heard of breatharians? People who dont eat or drink? They say basically if you give yourself energy through exercise, you can overcome food altogether.

Maybe we've had it wrong the whole time. Check out my videos.

  • I am investigating the raw foods claims for personal reasons. I have to say, your argument sounds plausable, but unfortunately you failed to give any references to support your claims. I have found a plethora of videos on the internet of people that make these claims, but little to no scientific evidence to back them up. Can you direct me to a website that provides scientific evidence for these claims? Thanks!

  • @Dhumm81

Read : The china Study , a profound book that backs up what this man says.

  • Excellent. The most compelling & helpful information I've come across, particularly point about incorporation. The few people I've talked to about it have this all or nothing, cold turkey approach and seem to think that I must be 'spiritual,' burn incense, keep crystals, meditate and say, 'namaste'. I appreciate your straightforward reasoning on raw/vegan diet, the process and how to start... w/o all of the spiritual-religious-trendy-dogma so commonly attached to it. Thanks

  • Thank you ; ) its good to have people on youtube to help us starting out. Keep it up!

  • Great vid!! thank you very much :)

  • good video.. thanx for the information!

(btw. the way u talk remindes me a lot of the priest eli in the film "there will be blood" -which doesnt mean at all that u r a fauls prophet)

    thanx again... keep on posting

  • Watched both of your videos. Thanks for sharing your experience and knowledge with the World.

  • Is it possible to be raw vegan if one is allergic (or otherwise averse) to nuts? My raw vegan friends showed us some foods and most of them seemed to contain nuts.

  • niiice

  • Love the lessons -- I love crunchy sprouts on sandwiches using romaine leaves , collards or flax bread as the base. I like the pyramid... Thank you for sharing

Keep on Keepin On!!! Bless you!

  • pseudoscience

  • I Love the way you talk. Its adorable

  • You covered a whole lot in that 9 minutes!!

  • nice video, just a remark

avocados are high in fat and low in carbohydrates.

On a raw vegan diet one better eats avocados only occasionally

    Gregg

  • I feel best when I eat one avocado per day......done that now for about 10 years, and still weigh 103 pounds at 5'4" tall, 41 years old. I guess some people cannot process avocados though. Raw coconuts are the only nuts I eat though ...those and greens like kale, spinach, and lots of dulse are my staples....oh and blueberries / seeded tree ripe fruits. How do you eat....I have been raw vegan for only 6 months but vegan for long time.....tried raw fish too several times, but didn't work for me

  • Thank you so much for this video, its very true!!!

    Keep on spreading the truth.

    ~

  • I've never had any symptoms from going raw...found it easy and very enjoyable...good clip

    thanks..

  • thx for the vid 5 stars.

do you make your own juices or do you buy them at the store?

  • Awesome video! how do you eat rice, if not cooked?

  • O.O Dude you're totaly trippy like super mellow. Maaann how awesome (: I'm really looking into this. I might eventually do it but i just recently gave up meat, so baby steps i guess (: Much props man :D

  • Thanks!!

  • Thank you~! I'm trying to be a raw vegan..I've tried it for 1 week...it's nice.. raw fruits & vegetables give me a lot energy!. My skin is getting nice and lose weight.

  • THANK YOU :=)

  • "700,000 species on earth" i think its more like 12,000,000.

  • i drink coffee (starbuck) 4 lots of energy!

  • wøøøøw ... im so trippied out right now

  • Dude, you're awesome!

  • thank you so mush it helped a lot -keep-

  • thanx for the vid im trying to be raw . it helped alot :)

  • this guy is so wierd. i love it

  • This guy seems pretty weird.

  • Awesome vid! This is the most comprehensive vid I've found thank you!

  • Great video! Raw foods, fresh air and sun. Three things that makes us feel alive every second!

  • is that a shower curtin behind u? lol :D

  • Great video

  • How can I get that pyramid?

  • lol okay so i liked the video but the end made me laugh with the whole hands and the head bow.

  • i can no longer find shame in our awakening to the Great Being that we are. fearless love to you friend.

  • as a meat eater soon to be converted to raw vegan I found this super informative and useful as I prepare to change the way I eat!! Thank you:)

  • @boingoose

this was 9 months ago, so I HOPE you followed through on this :)

  • Poor animals T_T...

  • did you paint the wall yourself? i love drawing and creativity makes me feel more alive than any sports

  • hehe hippie^^

yeah im going too, thanks for your advice

i'd rather trust someone like you than some weiner who doesn't know what he/shes talking about

  • I'd take "hemp protein" for a vegan protein. They have, at least, the 10 essential amino acids necessary for the body unlike a number of other vegetables you have cited.

  • yeah hemp seeds are actually a huge staple in many healthy raw fooders daily menus. i don't like to get caught up in thinking i need this or that however; i just enjoy trusting that my creator saw to it that the food we have been provided with has all that we need to flourish.

  • @baylorite Just remember that even though the creator has given us everything we need, we have destroyed the nutrients in the top soil and therefore can't all of the B12 we need. This is very sad, but there are options for getting it! I eat miso for b12.

  • @corvardus Broccoli, spinach, kiwi and avocado are all vegetables and fruits examples of complete essential amino acids.

  • thanks for this video excellent video

  • I believe it is all about moderation..

  • I find it amusing how people are entrusting their own health to the advice of doctors. If you feel good and are happy then 9/10 times you are healthy. I would rather listen to what my body tells me about my health than trust the oppinions of someone else. I'm not saying that doctors don't know what they are talking about, but I do feel that my body can tell me more about myself than an outside view can.

    Peace and Love to all.

  • They usually don't know much about health seen as how they are usually only receive one health class their entire time in school.

  • I agree!!!

Doctors are only taught what the government has set up for them, which is in a great tie with the very rich pharmeceutical companies. Which seems mostly about money... doctors are very dedicated to helpng people, but they dont always know whats best for that person.

  • great untill the past week

Winter in Australia and i have caught the flu

and since i live with my family i am not able to set foot in the kitch in fear of contaminating everyone else so mum has been cooking, meaning im getting vegan interpratations of vegatarian cooked food

I think its making me more sick :(

owell guess ill be resarting when im better

really missing it raw vegan is fantastic :)

  • How to Demineralize your body, how to eat massive amounts of fiber and destroy your digestion, and how to de-fat your nervous system and how to kill yourself slowly. And become stick thin. And get chronic cold hands and feet, and destroy your spleen.

There has never ever been a raw vegan culture ever.

  • demineralization occurs when the body is forced to eat itself instead of the nutrients that can be found in food that hasn't been put in life-destroying fire. the effects you are speaking of here are what happens to an uneducated person when they try (after eating meat, dairy, and nutrient depleting, system-clogging foods for many years) to approach this major lifestyle transformation fanatically and without proper guidance.

  • @szymborski11 I am not a raw vegan or a vegan. But I can assure you raw food culture has been in india for ages.

  • Vegan 3 years

    Starting Raw vegan tomorrow :)

    Wish me luck

    xx

  • I dont think so. I'm a life long vegan and so is everyone in my family and we are black Caribean. We eat Ital which consists of rice, cus cus, yam, plaintain, dasheen, bread fruit, potatoes which you have to cook. Raw is good but i get that with salads and fruits. Cooked food isnt the problem, meat and dairy is.

  • meat and dairy is the problem, i agree. but certain paths are for certain folks and it's about listening to your heart, mind, and body. thanks for the comment. Joy!

  • Why not eat raw meat? mammals eat raw meat in the wild

  • Much love to you. You're wonderful.

  • Hippie :) P.S hot

  • good stuff

  • i agree with veganism, im vegan, but i dont agree with absoultoly not cooking, light cooking can break down the solids a little to help with digestion. I have had issues with gas, it stinked, then i switched to vegan. I farted WAY more. but it stanked less... why did i fart more, i ate 2 salads of raw veggies a day ! so i tried lightly cooking veggies for my salad... and wala ! my farting is virtually gone... so i dunno, ive studyed macrobiotics and they belive all raw is not good, i agree.

  • you should have your own after school special.

Im not kidding. Lots of good information!

  • thanks for posting, but i have to say.. at parts of the video, it feels like youre talking down to your viewers, im sure you arent aware of it, or intend that, so im just letting you know

  • thanks so much dear friend. i need to hear things like this; otherwise how could i improve? there's a fine line between trying to sound convincing and "talking down to viewers" as you say. i am learning and that is a process that involves mistakes. Joy and Love to you.

  • I greatly appreciate your video. I was wondering, where you do you live? I live in new jersey, and its a bit hard to grow my own things where I live at the moment.

  • i am so spoiled. i live in southern california, where they have farmer's markets 3 times a week. also my sister and mom tend a beautiful garden in our backyard. i don't know what new jersey is like food-wise, but this natural wisdom is growing rapidly and it should not be too long before there are great sources of raw organic food everywhere. bananas are usually available and they are miraculous.

  • Your making cooked food sound nasty now.

I wish I live in CA where i could get nice farmed food 3 times a week.

I live in CO so.... Darn it!

  • I really enjoyed this, good info :) i also love how you bring it, very uplifting and cheery! Thanks a lot ! Love, light and lotsa laughter, Caro

  • baylorite I can go raw, I do it every few months but I cannot give up my steamed brown rice and it's hard to believe it could be bad. Any info on that?

  • just eat what you like and see if it serves you well. it is more unhealthy to force some so called "perfect" diet than to eat whatever you like with a tension-free consciousness. this is what i have learned. i really like steamed broccoli, brussel sprouts, and cauliflower on colder days. true health is harmony within and loving God in everyone and everything. not forcing things and always learning from your experiences. if a certain food makes you feel bad, say goodbye to it in love.

  • you are right. thank you baylorite.

  • usualy when u start off ur day with cooked food, u crave it for the rest of the day, or longer! so try to avoid it completely. =)

  • yay it's so nice to see a glowing, shiney young vegan man telling it like it is! You should post this in response to people who think vegan is unhealthy.

  • If you think he is the picture of health I would strongly advise you to get your eyesight checked. He has no eyebrows, his hair is thin and he is under weight typical signs of an unhealthy vegan diet.

  • my eye sight is above average. this gentleman is very fair and his hair is fine. has he been a meat eater he would probably be balding already and have a flabby gut to match. that would be far more attractive wouldnt it.

  • you're awesome.;o)

  • give me a break he is thin, north americans are dying of chronic degenerative diseases, and being overweight is epidemic. his weight is healthy.

  • You are a very sweet person! God bless your heart. I hope our son will grow like you.

  • Very, very good brother~!!!!

  • What a lovely video, thank you very much for posting this!

  • how beautifull, u are a very gentle and loving man. thank you.

  • Thank you for sharing. I enjoyed this :)

  • 100% true... good to hear you have found out about the rigth way of eading....super Video!

    :-)

  • Hahahaha! "And they don't come from Gatorade!" Well put :)

  • speak the truth brotha

  • Great video! You don't happen to know where I can find that raw vegan food pyramid?

  • Hi Mr. Raw Food Man, You have made my day.Did you know that you could be considered a saint?

You are seeking the truth and living in it.

I am thankful for your contribution. I am trying to incorporate this way of eating and I feel as though I am not alone and that I am actually coming into lifeinb a greater way. I am already after transitioning this last 4 weeks am feeling less pain and more vitality. Thank you brother. God bless you

  • much gratitude, sweet lady;0)

  • very well done speech

  • youre smart! =)

  • go raw vegans!

    :)

    woop!

  • I remember a little mania when i first started. Some points;

'Detox' is just diet change, not toxins. Your body always detoxes. It does it much better with raw as long as you do raw.

Eat enough calories. There is no penalty for pigging out. You will get a message 'I'm full' from raw meals. Something many are not used to from processed mush diets.

Eat succulent veggies as your main staple, sweet fruits are not a long term staple. Nuts&seeds are the smallest part of the diet.

  • yeah, you know whats up. spread the love. and thank you.

  • "sweet fruits are not a long term staple"

Well, that depends on your lifestyle. If your a pencil neck desk jocky...thats true. If you are heavy into fitness or bodybuilding...then ehhh! wrong. I have used raw food to push my muscular weight from 140 to 185, but it takes calorie dense fruits to do it. As far as nuts and seeds go...yes I eat lots of them (usually 7 servings of almonds and 4 servings of peanuts or wallnuts a day.) I do not comprimise on the veggies though.

  • Interesting, I lift and cycle and am just under 180. Oh well, people say what they want to hear...

Oh and I almost never eat nuts or seeds. I live on salad and like kittens... lol

  • Tyler rocks. This man has no fear of animals, diseases or disorders. I CAN ONLY HOPE TO RECREATE ONE THIRD OF HIS COURAGE IN MY LIFE.

  • you should email me that opyramid diagram ^_^ that would be so handy for a beginner!

  • Avocados don't have carbohydrates.

    Anyway, good vid.

  • Um avocados contain carbohydrates. In fact there is no such thing as a plant devoid of carbohydrates on this earth.

They may be lower than some other fruits, but they are around 9-10% digestible carbohydrates and about 5% indigestible carbs. Not counting the pit and husk.

  • IF u eat f.e. 2 KG raw vegan food, do 400g green leafy vegetables, and not above 50% fruits. Smoothies are the best way to transition to raw food.

  • This is really good info! I've been a vegan for 5 months and just today 95% of what I ate was raw and I feel so good!

  • blending raw food isnt bad because its just the same our teeth do with the food. Heat destroys the food on the molecular level.

  • By the way, the reason I'm going raw on wednesday is because I'm visiting a hypnotherapist to condition my mind to make me achieve my goal without effort or willpower. I'll still go through the 'cooked food hangover' though x x

  • Hello, I've often talked to my friends about the same points you make, and I'm going raw this wednesday. Please answer these points; do you eat raw brocolli? and raw cabbage? do you just cut it up and eat? I see this as hard to do. Can it be juiced?? Please answer me x x peace out.

  • brilliant well done

  • Hi you have done my hard work for me. I keep trying to tell people that eating meat and cooked vegitables does us no good. I like the neatness and I like the way you have set the camera so it does not shake everywhere and yuo speak nice and clear and come out with intelligent stuff keep posting!

  • This is a great! Very informative. Please post more!

  • lol :)

  • Thank you!!!

  • Another great benefit of eating raw is all of the wonderful people you meet! Thanks for this excellent video!

  • Go raw veganism! I've been vegan for a long time and I just went raw and feel amazing already!

  • I love you so hard right now. xo-jules

  • Good info! Thanks!

  • Thank you so much, your argument was concise and very convincing.

  • Awesome video! Thanks so much, your nutritional advice really helped!

    :D

  • Dude, I just had a really big burrito, and I'm gonna go take a nap.

  • this video makes me wanna start eating more raw mustard

  • just throw some yellow crayola crayons in a blender with some raw salt. then pour in some sierra mist until it blends. booyah!
