the dwarfs dont go extict in the 4th age there numbers decrease and the fate isnt certain but i think that they surived. the dwarf women are only 1/3 of the poplution and the dwarf men are to count up in work but iam pretty sure that they repoplated but non of know only J.R.R.Tolkien
knows the true fate of the mighty longbeards of the dwarfs
@wermat159 They tire quickly when you make them run. In this map, they tire from just walking. In a long battle, you don't want tired right when it begins. Also quit spamming.
Cheers Dooglemcdan. its good to see that the Balrog is not a ten string squad and that it can be taken down. Last campaign I played, I was playing as the free people of Eriador P.s. forgive me if if I spelt that wrong. Nothing I had could take the ten Balrogs down, so I sacrificed Hobbits. I let them get slaughtered while the clock counted down with the rest of my guys holding the down centre. I would say though the little Hobbits at arms never broke even when they were down to seven guys.
the dwarves had only faded cause they had alot of wars with the elves and the orks, goblins, trolls lived in the mountains so they had migrated to the dwarves huge caverens along with the many dragons thast the dwarves had to kill to rest in peace so yeah many people had lots of grudges against them so yeah.
@skylances2 They aren't prone to fast reproduction and in later years get so immersed in their work, they simply do not take the time for reproduction. Oh people trying to tell me about Tolkien lore. :P
@Surrealbeliefs He was right though, the Dwarves killed most of their men off in the wars with Orcs and Goblins, they only had a few settlements before the retaking of Erobor and even before that half of them (when they were still "Naugrim") had died off trying to take the Silmaril from the elves. Btw, your men can form a shield wall, which is quite useful against the pesky orc hordes.
Trolls can be a pain. For the dwarfs, have some reall hard ass infantry take them down e.g dragonslayers or/and axemen of erabor, also siege equipment and as one of the other posts have said axe throwers and cross bows. For the other good armies my tactic is get the trolls to place chase with cavalry if possible, and again if possible shoot them wiht as much projectile power as possible, to see them burn.
Yai. Only one balrog :-). Really didn;'t like 2.1 have a unit of 10 balrogs. Yes the last balrog in middle earth has the terrifying power of mitosis wiht loss to overall mass. Truly terrifying and a crime against the laws of physics.
@Surrealbeliefs I think the reason they didn't reproduce at like 100 was probably when the goblins came and attacked them a lot after realising their dwindling numbers, I'd love to just Skype and debate unknown stuff like this with you haha :P
@surrealbeliefs I remember reading that only about 1 third of the dwarves were Females and a lot of them would try to marry somebody to high in social status and also that a lot of male dwarves chose to not take a wife.
@T0T4LW4R This isn't my let's plays, just a showcase of the new custom settlements. I'm aware of the effectiveness of the missile troops like axe throwers, javelin throwers and so forth that take down high HP enemies quickly. Thanks though.
Why do kingdoms dwindle? In reality its usually because they reach the limit of their power and can't stabilize the country/ empire after whatever boom shot them into power or their driving force perishes. In fantasy? Tolkien did it! *furious copy pasting*
@Surrealbeliefs I never said that was a bad thing, but fine! Take your pudding I didn't want it anyway! I get my own pudding, with flapjack, and hookers.
Dwarf women were extremely rare unfortunately, which is why they most likely died out. But you know much more than i do, as i didn't know that the Dwarves died out at all. All i know is that Gimli didn't die in Middle Earth, and instead built a ship with Legolas and left together after the death of Aragorn.
Where did you gain this knowledge by the way? I'd love to find out more about LOTR, there's so much i still don't know.
Oh, and what happened to the Wood Elves? They were my favorite race:)
@UltimateRpGx I really enjoy the Silvan elves too, I can assume they all sailed to Valar, but there's always speculation that some remained. The Silmarillion and the appendices in the Lord of the Rings provides a lot of additional information. Google 'Durin the Deathless', you'll come to find there's seven Durin's in Middle Earth history, the seventh one, Durin VII, is the last of the Dwarf kings. You'll find your information there.
@Surrealbeliefs of the intire Dwarf population is 25% women. the male Dwarfs do not only have problems to find a woman, but the Dwarf women are so simulair to male Dwarfs, that the males are often not attracted to the females :3
