  • This is absolutely wonderful! I LOVE IT TO DEATH!!! Thank you for posting!! BIG CHESHIRE CAT SMILE

  • London is not on the 35th Anniversiary DVD (which I have in front of me).

I bought Rocket Cottage when it first came out & saw the tour @ Manchester FTH.

IMHO there are better tracks on the album such as Brown Girl.

Spoke with Maddy & Ken after the final concert of the 2009 tour in Buxton.

  • Menuhin Steven Grappelli knight masters of their genera's

  • Brilliant! I haven't heard this in years, yet they're as vibrant as ever. I saw Maddy solo about 10 years ago- moved me to tears.

  • Saw the Span in Brisbane last night, like fine wine, brilliant as always.

  • Still amazing! Saw them in concert at a small venue. They were great. It was around the 80's...a very memorable evening. They danced up and down the aisles singing.

  • Maddy Prior, Rick Kemp on bass, Peter Knight on fiddle. But the guitar player is not Bob Johnson, I think. The drummer's been with them a long time, cannot remember his name..

  • LIAM GENOCKEY

  • The Guitar player is Ken Nicholl (ex Albion Band, among others). Bob Johnson had to retire from performing due to ill health.

  • cant believe i lost my "rocket cottage" tape :( can't find the songs anywhere either

  • Sounds just like me. I even still have the case with the songs listed! LOL

  • Why isn't Maddie taking lead voice, like on the record?

  • Because Rick wrote the song. Probably didn't want to sing lead then.

  • Maybe because Rick wrote the song, but probably didn't want to sing it back then. He usually takes the lead vocals of a tune or two in more recent gigs.

  • thanks for this, it's quite hard to find...one of my faves, "London" turned me on to Steeleye looooong ago : )

  • Seen them a few times now, love steeleye.

  • Spectacular. I've never gotten to see them live, and I feel cheated. Got all their records, though, and that's tough to do in America. One day I'll get a chance to see them perform.

  • havent see this lot since the sails of silver tour they - are still great and they aleays look like they enjoy themselves

  • This was to be their "next" hit after "All Around my Hat" but then Punk came along. Whilst I loved Punk at the time, such an excellent band as Steeleye did not deserve to be eclipsed-hope their comeback continues !
