Even without the suits Chief is still over 7 feet tall and weighs 200 kilos of solid muscle and has cat-like reflexes. Halo may have changed greatly between its 1999 debut and its 2001 launch, but enough connections remain to say that Halo was based on StarCraft, namely the races and base concepts.

People say StarCraft is based on WH40k for the same reasons, and I agree, except that StarCraft is way more different from WH40K than Halo is from SC.

We don't know if the Flood was in the original concept. It may have been a "plot secret," like it was in Halo CE, since the MacWorld showing was only a press preview.

Your problem is that you can't see the forest for the trees. The tiny details are irrelevant, but the main ideas are obviously inspired by StarCraft.

Does it make a difference if the Flood is a fungusoid or insectoid infestation? If the Elites use plasma or psi blades? If the Spartans are hand-picked or convicts? No. The point is that the Flood/Zerg are both infestations, that the Elites/Zealots use energy blades, that Spartans/Marines are supersoldiers, etc.

I'll be honest here seeing as when I first watch this video there was like 3 dislikes to every 1 like.

I'm a big Halo fan so that does make me a little biased towards Halo videos. I haven't played much Starcraft cause I don't have a very good computer but I have watched it on mlgpro.com online streams to see that its pretty good. But people hating the video because its Halo try to take a neutral perspective and not be biased about your decisions based on what its starts out as.
