Heerlijke beelden. En fuck het feit dat ze tot over hun oren vol met dope zaten! Laat ze lekker gaan, ook tegenwoordig. Dope is pas vals spelen als er maar 10 van de 150 aan zitten. Vive le Tour!
What fantastic memories. Cycling just seemed so much more exciting in the 1980's. Always wanted a TI Raleigh road bike but couldn't afford it so had a red frame with yellow handlebar tape. Still felt like Bert Oosterbosch as I raced through the streets.
Nice footage. I have an old woollen TI-Raleigh jersey too. Dont think I cant fit into it anymore lol. Love the dutch language, but since most people from the Netherlands speak English, there is no point learning it lol. Thanks for the posts.
I would like to add subtitles to this one, so everybody would perfectly understand it.
The Dutch are pretty much international orientated, that took 'em over the 7 seas and the highest mountains, maar als je wilt kunnen we gewoon door met Nederlands hoor! Lol
I appreciate your comment very much! Take care Chickasmith living Down-Under!
Finally some remembers the great TI Raleigh Team! It had more victories than any other team of its era and seems all but forgotten. Great British made Ilkeston Reynolds 753 machines and the best Dutch cyclists of all time! Great stuff. Makes me want to ride my 1980 Raleigh Team bike, well... now!
I'm glad you enjoyed the vids! Yes, they seem to be forgotten, nobody is talking about them anymore. The Dutch remember this team in silence and with much anticipation for a ''next TI-Raleigh''. But that would be hard to copy, that much chemistry. You will have to build a team like Columbia, where everybody can win, and teamspirit.
I'll have to change the info on the right...it was a Dutch-English team because of the awesome machines coming from the Brittish motorcycle-builder.
Wowee..you have one?! Can i buy it?! If i had one i would never sell it. I have the original teamshirt coming from that time though. My father saved it for me, and after his passing-away i descided to put it in a frame and know it looks beautiful in a main spot in my livingroom!

Jan Raas le plus grand tricheur de l'histoire du cyclisme ! Souvenons-nous du championnat du monde 1979... Un vrai, vrai, vrai puant.

Yes it is! You will see more of a country when cycling. And it is a good way to meet people as well.
