THe fuck, the ds version is fine. Its the best one. The decent speed and load times of the snes, and the Anime cutscenes from the PS1. The sprites are slightly cleaned up a bit aswell. Whoever says that the DS version is shit, is a dousche. You think youre the only fan of this game?

The DS port is not the death of the original, it is a renewal. Take me for instance, I never played chrono trigger cause I couldn't be arsed to download an emu and sit in front the monitor all day playing it, now I'm playing it on the DS with some new content and a new ending, which is not much for previous players. I'm not saying that it's great for someone who played it before, but it is excellent for someone who never did. What's so bad about that?

No, you made the right choice. It improves upon the SNES game in so many ways, mostly by fixing and improving the translation (makes a huge difference). The new extra ending is wonderful too, and it ties in beautifully to Chrono Cross.
