Check out the Norwegian soprano Sissel. She has an amazing voice and she is extremely talented. Her voice is crystalclear. And singers like Placido Domingo, Bryn Terfel and Jose Carreras loves her. Check out the videos of Sissel here on YouTube.

I currently own 3 different recordings of Dame Kiri's Sempre Libera, and in none of them had she sung the Eb, so what do you mean when you mean "it had to be played by a flute?"

The recording I have of her has the high Eflat and it's not bad at all. My only complaint is that it's a little slow.

Amazing! Kiri te Kanawa is such an inspiration to me! Wanting to sing Opera myself and being a lyric as well, it's so wonderful to hear a lyric soprano to be able to sing a role that is generally sung by coloraturas! And she does it so well! She's quite possibly my favorite soprano yet to sing Violetta! Her and Angela Gheorgui!

Unfortunately A.Gheorghiu seems to be so in love with herself that even her voice doesn't make me forget it.
Dame Kiri Te Kanawa by her natural grace, talent and elegance cannot be compared to some of the contemporary self-admiring singers.

Why shouln't a lyric soprano sing traviata??? please! a lyric soprano can sing wagner, if she sings it with her technique an doesn't try to sound like a dramatic soprano. and if she gets an engagement. people should start to use their brain instead of writing what the others say or write
