It's not if Norton is good or not, the Director had to use a product that everyone was immediately familia with. Norton being one of the more widespread and well know anti-virus software is why the Director chose to use it.
Say if 'AVG' rocked up at the end, less people would get the 'punch line' since not as many people know about AVG than Norton.
Plus its fitting that 'Norton' is plausible as someone's name rather than say BitDefender

norton is garbage. the best virus protection is not being retarded and the best way to remove a virus is to periodically back up your shit and if you get one just reinstall your OS dont pay money for those shitty anti virus programs
