Your daughter looks like the twins from sister sister! Great deals. I'm guessing it was an impromptu trip so 59%, that's pro. I used to get deals at publix, and kroger in (I miss kroger!) in KY but I moved to south Alabama. We also had Aldi in KY and Bham but not down here (have you heard of Aldi? @grocerygurus I feel you! I love to grocery shop, more than clothing shop actually. So, I can imagine the urge was too overwhelming! I recently went to Montreal and shopped there too! Lol!
Okay I"m never gonna get this right. This is what I did: KCL thing and had $110 worth of stuff but came $33 out of pocket. Then went back for more stuff on the 8 items save $4 list and spent $94 but saved $128. Okay I think that's right, anyway, I was very happy with what I got. Stocking up for the rest of the month when kids are out of school. Whew, third times the charm, hopefully
Congrats on your baby's graduation!! she is so smart and beautiful well my only one starts high school this year here in Georgia ....scary but he is a great kid !! have fun on the vacations xoxo
L, that was a great shopping trip with the family. I do the same thing with my sons (15 and 16), so they can learn how to coupon. They are finally getting it (no coupon , no buy) LOL. I like how your husband knew the price of the bologna. My husband is starting to get on board as well, and he is bragging about my savings/stockpile to everyone. I need to get back with the program because I'm getting more produce lately because it is warmer, but that stuff is HIGH when it isn't on sale and/or you don't have a coupon! I like how your family was excited about finding coupons and helping while you shopped. You are teaching them a valuable lesson, "If we don't have a coupon, we don't buy" and saving money should be a family activity; I love it LOL!
Girl, loved the shopping trip!..I can't get my 20 yr old into couponing. She has a Paris Hilton complex, but she'll "get it" as we continue to cut her off of all of her freebies courtesy of mom and dad! LOL.
