@girlfromcelebes Yepp, you've got to have very sharp knife nd be careful! We get a large number of fish like that often, so you have to be quick at it too or it takes all day and the flies nd mosquitoes make you crazy :p
This works well with Crappies, Sunfish, even Bass. When you have a large number of fish to clean, you have to be efficient at it. Scaling is usually done by another person, and one to filet. Leaving the skin on does preserve allot of the taste. If you have 40 Sunfish + some Carppies to clean, you can have it all done in about 30 minutes of you are good at it...
I remember my dad doing something like that...need very sharp knife. I was worried before if he got cut by knife..lol

nice i hadnt seen anyone use this method and still scale em but your right i think thats probly the quickest and simplest way.

Yes, I scale them first before fileting. Some people like to skin them, but this way is allot faster for me.
