@BigFanRs Thanks! In this video, the exhaust was completely un-bolted from the mid-pipe, which left it dumped right under the passenger seat area in the cab. So, basically, straight pipes dumped under the cab.
IT NOT GOOD TO TAKE THE MUFFLER OF BUT A LOT OF PEOPLE DO IT I DID THE SAME THING TO MY TRUCK BUT THE VIBRATION IN THE CAB GOT TO ME SO I GOT A VX SERIES RACING MUFFLER SOUNDS OKAY AND I WAS TOLD TAKING THE MUFFLER OFF YOU WILL LOOSE SOME HORSE POWER AND IT WILL PROB BACK FIRE AND SMELL LIKE GAS BUT YEAH ITS BEST IF YOU GET FLOWMASTER OR SOMETHING........BUT IF YOU LIKE THE WAY IT IS THATS COOL.....
@LOC60100 Nah man, with the 4.3 the cats make most of the backpressure that the exhaust needs, so taking my muffler off didn't effect my HP or fuel economy. Thank goodness lol. I agree about the vibration in the cab, I hate it. I am doing a stereo system in it and plan to line it with Dynamat, and then I'm also running a pipe to the back instead of having it dumped under the cab, so that should eliminate most of my problems while keeping the sound the way I like it. I appreciate the comment bro!
@Loganator456 YEAH WELL THATS COOL MAN....I HAVEN'T HAD TIME TO PUT ANY VIDS OF MY TRUCK ON CUZ I'VE BEEN FIXING THE FUEL PUMP ON IT HAD WENT OUT...BUT YEAH NOW THAT THATS FIXED I WILL PUT SOME VIDEO OF MY TRUCK ON HERE CHECK THEM OUT WHEN I PUT THEM ON..
@Loganator456 GOT A NEW VIDEO OF MY TRUCK CHECK IT OUT REALLY I HAVEN'T DONE MUCH TO IT BUT THERE A LOT MORE I WANT TO DO TO IT BUT YEAH FOR RIGHT NOW THAT WAT IVE DONE CHECK IT OUT LET ME KNW WHAT YOU THINK ILL BE POSING MORE SOON.....
I did the same thing taking the muffler off. its not good for the Y-pipe so if you wan to keep the loud just get about a pipe long enough to reach ur muff brakt and have someone weld it to Y-pipe. I had that set up for awhile and it does sound ok but it will get on ur nerves cuz it'll start to shake. find some long tube headers that pase setter makes for the 4.3 and youll have the sound ur looking for. I have a cammed 4.8 with open longtubes no cats or muff just straight pipe and its loud as hek
@rednecklift haha its cool man. and yeah its pretty loud id like it to be a little louder but sound a lot better, but i'm happy enough with it now lol. and yeah your right cause i get way to much vibration in the cab but i'm sure just running a pipe out the back will help with that
Hey dude amazing video, i was just wondering could you tell me your exhaust system set up ?
