I believe it had to do with Titanic being "The Dream", that THAT ship was supposed to be the miracle ship for the turn of the century. The luxury cruise liner. I can understand that the dream that Rose (Kate Winslett) had to be with Jack (Leonardo Di'Caprio) like Jack said they would, and that she remembered until the night she died in her sleep. It would make sense.
