  • My favorite kind of communist, but still a communist. She makes a lot of assumptions about what all anarchists should agree on for someone who believes so much in differing opinions.

  • thats great! Her perspective of anarchism is both "utopian" and "impossible". If this is the case, it isn't a very uselful perspective.

  • Well the idea being that there are modes of oppression that exist now that even the most radical amongst us are not aware of and that as we push towards a more free and just society we will unravel these things. It is impossible to think that we could come up with a rigid blueprint for a future society, but with Anarchist principles we can push forward to a more just and free society.

  • Sounds like anarcho-reformism.

  • anarchism is a moral imperative. the likelihood of it being able to be perfectly applied in reality does not take away from the legitimacy of the philosophy itself. it's in striving towards that goal which creates a better world. being like jesus or buddha may be just as impossible, yet people still try.
