  • i have flak jacket, but can i get Flak jacket XLJ Lens in them?

  • im thinking about getting a pair of the kings woodland camo ones in prescription because i need them for driving. does anyone know how much the prescription lenses cost and if you can get the prescriptions in a clear lens so i can go from regular glasses to sunglasses with one pair.

  • A couple corrections: prescription Oakley lenses do not maintain the same ballistic properties as nonprescription, and thus as a standalone are not technically approved for use as ballistic eyewear, unless the prescription lens is a separate insert used in conjunction with existing lens. Second, there are other manufacturers such as Wiley X and Revision that sell approved eyewear for armed forces. I do feel that Oakley often has the best selection and service, but there are other choices.

  • nice bro...not gonna lie normally i hate fan reviews but u actualy got the best review i seen for these lol and u convinced me to get them... cept im getting mine with polarized lenses

  • Flak Jacket! Not Flak Jack.

  • holy shit u have a huge house

  • I have never had a problem with my Oakleys!! They are awesome. Don't really know how to take the lenses off and put them on though

  • I'm deciding between the Flak Jacket and the Splinter, both by Oakley. Tough choice...

  • If your in the military you can get them for $90 from Oakley's military site you have to fax or upload a image of a current military ID to become a member

  • not the only sunglasses approved by the usa military.

  • very nice!!! im getting mine in a few days ...almost same as yours but not prescription : Oakley flak jacket, matte black, black mirror lens and polarized! well thx alot for the review 5 starz + sub!!

  • thanks im sad i i lost them last summer

  • r u reading off a computer y arent u looking at the camera

  • The M Frames are actually the US Military glasses, so these aren't the only pair approved.

  • i got some bolisticsglasses for free from my friends dad whos in the military and hes got tons od those

  • how much did the perscription lenses cost?

  • Not sure my parents and insurance footed the bill not me.

  • zomfg!! nooo. never ever buy a sunglasses string... you place them upside down on top of your flat bill BOSTON RED SOXs 59FIFTY baseball hat!!!! cmon now.............

  • @IxDoMeRoCKeRxI i do that ALL the time man i like your way of thinking ;)

  • i bought those from oakley and took them to get a pescription in them but they couldnt but i got a pair of ray bans

  • How much were the prescription lenses?

  • how did u get them in perscription ? plzz write back

  • I took them to my eye doctor and they send them off. But i just lost mine in ottawa

  • I am pretty sure Oakley can make them in perscription.

  • cont...All in all though, the oakley glasses are up to par with most other ballistic glasses, and exceed all in their variety of styles, lenses, and the option of prescription lenses. anyone out there considering buying a pair, i'd say go ahead and do it. They are one purchase that you definatly will not be disapointed in. Great review by the way, in depth review of the product. Good job.

  • actually the military issues out ballistic glasses such as revision, ess, etc. There Oakleys however, actually are NOT issued. In Fact, they're against regulation due to their silver "O" trade mark on the side, bust nobody really cares. Anyway, i love my issued revisions because of their durability which seems to be on par with the oakley's that i purchased, but i'll be sticking with my oakley M frames for now, because they're way smaller and dont make you look like a blind person like revisions

  • Actually, if you order them from the Oakley military site you get the model with the subdued "O" and the matte frames. But your right, no one cares either way.

  • Is the bag that comes with Oakley sunglasses good at protecting them. Or, do you suggest a case?

  • The bag stops them from being scratched but the case is best for protecting against breaking them.

  • I love my oakley flak jackets!

  • Is there a range for the prescription or can it be as powerful as it has to?

  • They can probably be made to any prescription.

  • how much does the prescription cost?

  • Not sure but they came to about 250 or so all together so it was about 50 or so. But is going to depend where you get it done. I had to have mine sent directly to oakley to get the lenses fitted and cut right.
