im thinking about getting a pair of the kings woodland camo ones in prescription because i need them for driving. does anyone know how much the prescription lenses cost and if you can get the prescriptions in a clear lens so i can go from regular glasses to sunglasses with one pair.
A couple corrections: prescription Oakley lenses do not maintain the same ballistic properties as nonprescription, and thus as a standalone are not technically approved for use as ballistic eyewear, unless the prescription lens is a separate insert used in conjunction with existing lens. Second, there are other manufacturers such as Wiley X and Revision that sell approved eyewear for armed forces. I do feel that Oakley often has the best selection and service, but there are other choices.
nice bro...not gonna lie normally i hate fan reviews but u actualy got the best review i seen for these lol and u convinced me to get them... cept im getting mine with polarized lenses
If your in the military you can get them for $90 from Oakley's military site you have to fax or upload a image of a current military ID to become a member

very nice!!! im getting mine in a few days ...almost same as yours but not prescription : Oakley flak jacket, matte black, black mirror lens and polarized! well thx alot for the review 5 starz + sub!!
zomfg!! nooo. never ever buy a sunglasses string... you place them upside down on top of your flat bill BOSTON RED SOXs 59FIFTY baseball hat!!!! cmon now.............
cont...All in all though, the oakley glasses are up to par with most other ballistic glasses, and exceed all in their variety of styles, lenses, and the option of prescription lenses. anyone out there considering buying a pair, i'd say go ahead and do it. They are one purchase that you definatly will not be disapointed in. Great review by the way, in depth review of the product. Good job.
actually the military issues out ballistic glasses such as revision, ess, etc. There Oakleys however, actually are NOT issued. In Fact, they're against regulation due to their silver "O" trade mark on the side, bust nobody really cares. Anyway, i love my issued revisions because of their durability which seems to be on par with the oakley's that i purchased, but i'll be sticking with my oakley M frames for now, because they're way smaller and dont make you look like a blind person like revisions
Actually, if you order them from the Oakley military site you get the model with the subdued "O" and the matte frames. But your right, no one cares either way.
Not sure but they came to about 250 or so all together so it was about 50 or so. But is going to depend where you get it done. I had to have mine sent directly to oakley to get the lenses fitted and cut right.
i have flak jacket, but can i get Flak jacket XLJ Lens in them?

I'm deciding between the Flak Jacket and the Splinter, both by Oakley. Tough choice...

The M Frames are actually the US Military glasses, so these aren't the only pair approved.

Is the bag that comes with Oakley sunglasses good at protecting them. Or, do you suggest a case?
enriqueballer4045 2 years ago
The bag stops them from being scratched but the case is best for protecting against breaking them.

Is there a range for the prescription or can it be as powerful as it has to?
CerialSquirrel 2 years ago
They can probably be made to any prescription.
