This video offends me, why? because they all want Obama to win because he's black. Try asking them about their views and compare them to Obama's. "What do you think of the views of Barack Obama?" -- "Oh the black man, he will win"
@artistvrd interesting...I think those questions were asked. This was produced when a number of candidates were still running for the democratic ticket, so we were interested in seeing who was popular overseas...clearly Obama's race resonated with Africans while Clinton and others were still in the running.
@artistvrd There were only relatively few people in the video who hoped Obama would win simply because he is black. Some said that he seemed more progressive, and many expressed joy that USA might get its first non-white president (which isn't the same thing as supporting him because of his color). Of course one can find some passive racism in this, but I think much of the "racism" are just happy expectations. There haven't been many powerful black people in the world until now.
Botswana can teach America a few things! You can talk about race without feeling guilty! Race is here, it's part of us,so let's talk about it without being disagreeable! Welldone Botswana!
I used to live in gabs and it was great to hear their views. I was in Kenya several years ago when Obama visited them. The people of kenya at that time couldn't stand him. His family is connected to a radical muslim extemist party in Kenya so maybe they know something everyone else doesnt. No doubt if he gets in they will jump on the band wagon! should get very interesting.
Congratulations to Mmakgosi Kgabi for this nice report from Gaborone! I enjoyed the way she gathered honest, freely expressed opinions from a variety of people. Its stuff like this that makes the news worth watching.

They are saying only because he is black, because they dont really care.
Bob Geldof has said that George Bush has done the most for world poverty out of all the US presidents.
I say McCain
