  • Thx bro..., let's say it as a biofilter right ? but do u know, what kind of particel is it filtering..? nitrate, phosphate, amonia... or maybe is it hv the same benefit with the carbon active?

  • @ridwanlay This is a bio filter. It turns ammonia into nitrite then to nitrate. it will work equally well in fresh or salt water aquaria.

  • @sturgisbryan Thanks bro !

  • what 's the benefit of this fluidized bed filter...? any good to marine aquarium ...?

  • @ridwanlay This is excellent for any aquarium. These are the most efficent type of filter when properly set up.

  • What size tube is your inner and outer tube? Also, did you use a diffuser plate and if so, how did you attach it?

  • @her209 inner tube is 1" od 3/4" id the main filter is 5" diameter it was glued with weld-on cement

  • how does this work? i would love to make this :D

  • Water is pumped in through the bottom,as the water travels up through the colom it carries the media and gravity pulls the media back down. The media is suspended in the water colum.

  • How might i make this? it is hard?

  • @iamnub672 If your a Machinist it is easy just a little time consuming.

  • 6/19/09 this filter is working great !
