  • ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS!

  • this isnt the powerpuff girls song D:

  • I just found out today that the "Mr. Jackson" who patrols the halls and makes my friends laugh with his stories and jokes is actually "DEON Jackson", a famous artist from the mid-1900s. Now I feel really humble whenever I talk to him, and it's just so odd and awesome to know that a famous musician walks in our halls...

  • i miss mr jackson. he helped me finish high school.

  • @momospills Was he a teacher, administrator or what?

  • @John1948ThreeC He's a student supervisor.

  • @TheInventor200 Thanks. We didn't have student supervisors when I was in school so I'm not sure what it menas but it seems from the comments he's getting that he does it well and is loved by the kids. If any of you get the chance tell him he still has lots of fans here!

  • @John1948ThreeC i go to the school he works at. he plays piano sometimes, its really cool

  • @xFReSHeReST Cool.

  • WWS REPRESENT.

  • JUST MISSED!!! "Love Makes The World Go Around" just missed making the Billboard's Hot Top 10 chart; it peaked at No. 11 and spent a total of 14 weeks in the Hot Top 100 in 1966!!!!

  • I cant find out inf on Deon Jackson at all.Anyone know where he is today and if he still performs??

  • @jjs499 he works at my highschhool in wheaton il

  • Back in the days when kids got out on the dance floor, and had good, clean, innocent fun!!!

  • this guy works at my high school now 0.o

  • A young Ray Barrone @ 0:56

  • @gayle2020 I thought he looked more like Robert. LOL

  • Soul Pop perfection...defines the genre. Nice drumming too!

  • Just be grateful that you get to be able to have him as your principal. You're so lucky. Cherish that. I've grown up listening to this song and it would be really cool to meet him. One of you give him my regards. From a fellow high school student.

  • Hes one of my assistant principal . Very cool

  • Yep. He works at my school. Wheaton Warrenville South High School in Illinois. He is that man who yells at kids in the halls because they are blocking other people's way. Hahaha.

  • those were the days wen he was younger. now he just sits nxt 2 me in the piano rooms at WHEATON WARRENVILLE SOUTH n we play any song that comes 2 mind!!!

  • Wow!!! I was in junior high...yes, I said junior high!! GREAT song!!

  • This was my theme song in 7th grade. Yep!..I thought that I was in love...first "REAL" meaningful kiss...to me anyway...from a more experienced girl my age at that!!. Haaaaaaa. Yep,YEP!!!!.

  • This is back in the day when it was a requirement to have "SOUL, RHYTHM and a VOICE" to make a record.

  • I think I played this 45 to death ...TY for the post ..

  • @MdNgtRyder me too...the vocals and music is so tight...I still love it...

  • that song do sound like Smokey Robinson & the Miracles singing it they got the sound,Deon Jackson,Barbara Lewis,George Clinton,Gino Washington and others who are non Motown artists and they from Detroit Michigan sound like they from Motown.

  • Deon Jackson shouldve join Motown it sound like a Motown type of mold What Makes the World Go Round is like a Motown type of clone even known that Deon Jackson is from Ann Arbor Michigan,he would ve topped of f of Marvin,Stevie and Smokey if he wouldve joined Motown

  • I SWEAR ,I THOUGHT THIS WAS SMOKEY. GREAT SONG AND VOICE

  • I was so young when I first heard this song...I never forgot it ....thanks for posting. such a great song.

  • I thought this was SMOKEY for 30 years LOL

  • @stevieplez2 Don't feel bad.. It's understandable. It's his pitch.

  • Great song from my High School days.

  • Go Deon! I hear ya Brother! This is your signature song. I learned to play this one one the piano way back in the day. Peace!

  • loved seeing the kids dance

  • Wonderful music and video. Just love it..

  • dude he works at me school! wws

  • And, he now works at my school..

  • @thatgirl2905 Doing what?

  • Never heard this great sound sound so great as like it does on this video. Volume is up, I guess. Thanks John1928threeC.. Just beautiful. Mixed feelings about whether someone will redo this in hip-hop style or something really horrible not that that hip-hop wouldn't be a horrorible mix. Usually I joke but not now. Deon got accepted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Songwriters Division. Gonna listen to some Barbara Lewis who wrote most of her great songs and should be in R&R or Soul..

  • @11xzxzxz I agree xyxyxxyxyxyxyxyxyxyyxx, they don't make 'em like this anymore!

  • Some things never grow old! ...Like good music !

  • @NiteEagle2 Ollie McLaughlin was my Great Uncle! He produced this song

  • I love the dancing with the music. Of course it's American Bandstand (AB)....
