  • the american people know the PANHARD PL17?

great new, this is a good example of french populars cars, this is a car for connoisseurs.

  • Panhard PL 17, but dash is Peugeot 403

  • i love garmin!i can't drive without it!

  • Hahaha!!! I love this commercial!! Every time I see a mini I think of this song!

  • Well i know napolean ....but didnt understand the ad.......was he always late everywhere?

  • he was short, so he couldn't see where he's driving

  • Damn, this is so awesome :D

  • This is Napoleon Bonapard

  • Bonaparte...

  • Garmin Ads rule! They should make even more!

  • OMG LOL I LOVE THIS ONE!

  • This is a funny ad. Waste of money tho... Most americans dont know who napoleon is and/or whether france is a country!

  • haha!

  • Anybody else notice that the shop at the very begining (0:00 - 0:04) is the grocery store in Amelie? I love that movie!

  • What car is that?

  • the car might be a Panhard. but not sure. at least that gives you a starting point

  • Panhard PL17

  • whats the song? i really like it . can someone tell me

  • I've do a quick traduction, so sorry for my poor english.

"Under the sun, it's not true (not sure about this part), we drives the highway to paradise, all right !

The city became pretty and the life and the sight, oh my darling let's go, I drive to paradise, all rights !

    Sabasabapadapapada (doesn't means nothing) [...]

  • Thank you.

  • the name of the song is not ca plane pour moi

you can download it from Garmin's gameday site, click the media link garmin . com /gameday/

    remove the spaces,

  • I'm sure that car is only fun if you're in Europe, with all it's scenery. If you had the car in the US with all its crazy traffic, you probably wouldn't have as much fun with it...

  • LOL!!! in the beginning i thought this was kinda random but when you look at the end its hilarious....xD

  • You who don't get it:

    - Napoleon small.

    - He can't properly see=he doesn't exactly know where to drive (his small. Ok, your not that small but still you might be lost from time to time.. etc. metaphor..)

    - The gadget is so small you can put it in your pocket--> the famous pose at the end.

  • that car is gorgeous, i want it!

  • O! now i get it. He isn't tall enough to see over the dashboard so Garmin is a GPS system that navigates the way for him and says when there is traffic. Aha had to see it 2ce to understand. now it's funny.

  • It's fun !

But the filmed dashboard does not come from a PL17

  • It's Fun !

But the filmed dashboard does not come from a PL17...

  • The best super bowl commercial, In my opinion.

You might say otherwise, and thats fine, but this, I think, Is the best.

  • i like this song

  • you dont get it? Napoleon is short, so short he cant see over the dash. Fortunately he has a GPS to aid in his navigation, so he does not need to see. The video was filmed in Paris France and Napoleon was short and famous.

  • I don't know what the song is, but it is definitely NOT "Ca Plane Pour Moi" by Plastic Bertrand as someone posted earlier... Does anyone know what the song is?

  • Actually that song is by a group named The Presidents Of The United States Of America.

  • nope, it's french.

i've heard it before, but i forgot the name.. damn.

  • @Daddywutz : The song bears a great resemblance to Ca Plane Pour Moi by Platique Bertrand.

  • Napoleon was 5 ft 2 according to wiki

  • the ending "garmin" singing is so catchy!

  • For those who don't get it he is short and cant see the road over his stearing wheel so he is soley using the garmin to navigate. Its them trying to show how accurate the garmin is while being funny.

    hope this helped

  • you're wrong

the song title is not ca plane pour moi

    it's something else

  • there was nobody driving the car for the whole commercial then they show him getting out at the end of it?

  • hahaha i dont get it either i wish someone would explain it lol

  • Funny, but not nearly as funny as the weird-ass Ultraman one from last year.

  • liar! its 66 seconds long, not 60!

  • hahahahahahaha

  • Encore le président S. ?

  • Luv that song!

    :D

    Luv that car!

  • sooo, Napoleon drives a car?

    don't get it

  • The point was that Garmin speaks to you...which, if you are supersupersuper short, like Napoleon was, it would come in handy if you couldn't see above the dashboard.

  • Youre stupid :)

  • lol napoleon bonaparte if i aint wrong

    social studies 9 for me

  • it's about the reason his hand is up his shirt... duhhh...

  • hes short that he can't see but used the GPS to guide him

  • One time my Garmin took me to a biker bar on accident. They had good beer there.

  • I DONT GET IT

  • He's too short to see out of the windshield so he uses the Garmin display to know exactly where he is going.

    (It's THAT accurate!)

  • Lol its supposed to be the REAL reason he has his hand in his shirt ;)

  • lol its supposed to be the REAL reason he has his hand tucked in his shirt ;)

  • I love it!!! What a sweet little Panhard. What a clever commercial.

  • It's a pity that the filmed dashboard does not come from a PL17...

  • Napoleon was not actually as short as it is thought. Look it up! funny add nonetheless.

  • ROFL...for the greatest good of god.... XD

  • SUPER ad by a super company!! One of the BEST in the 2008 ads.

  • je pensse que c'est plastic bertrand aussi

  • OMFG LMAO :P love it!

  • What a shame for France, this song is SO OLD and OVERRATED ... xD

And we don't have these kind of car nowadays! lol

    Hello Napoleon! :p

Well done and YAY the GIANTS! :D

"Ça plane pour moi" by Plastic Bertrand

  • You are overthinking it, the ad shows France as a really nice place with pretty cars, nothing wrong with that.

Thanks for the info about the song

  • Ads like this helped make up for that horrible E-Trade ad.

  • ahahahhahahaahah so cute and funny!!! hahahahahahahahahahhahahha lol

  • funny spot! Short people are always funny

  • Nobody is in the car when it's driving.

  • thought it was pretty cool...the ending surprised me.

  • this makes me question why these people pay millions of dollars to show this stuff XD

  • what is the name of this song?

  • The song composer/lyricist is Ken Chastain from Pixel Farm, Minneapolis.

  • Love the song! Where can I get the lyrics?

  • HAHA! Sick song...i wonder if the 6000hits this video got, is comprised of mostly anxious investors who were hoping for a better commercial than last year! Go mapasaur!!

  • What's the song?

  • The Panhard PL17 is an awesome little car!

  • We picked one up in Paris near the Arc de Triomphe in 1961, crisscrossed the alps with 2 adults and 3 children plus luggage! 2 cylinders, air cooled, 40 MPG. Brought it back to US where a hack mechanic burned the cylinder heads trying to set the timing. It was never the same. Such nice lines, nice note, nice memories!

  • Hey! Can someone translate this song to english lyrics?

  • omg so cute and so funny ^-^

  • Hells yeah! History FTW.

  • awesome !

  • What is this music? Where can I buy it? Love it!!!

  • Go to the website, click media, then click download.

  • It sounds like Plastic Bertrand, but I'm not sure about the voice. Good luck finding it!

  • Follow the link above and click on media to download for free.

  • Why buy it when you can download it for free? Garmin made it available on their SB website.

I just saw it on their site. Garmin com/gameday.

  • You are right! A 51 second version of this song is available at Garmin's Super Bowl website.

The name of the song is "ca plane pour moi!" by plastik bertrand.

  • FYI, the song is not "ca plane pour moi," but it is plastic bertrand

  • that's not "ca plan pour moi", although it has a similar sound

  • It's not the same song, this one is faster and the lyrics don't match.

  • No, ca plane pour moi is not the song. Believe me.

  • no, that's not ca plane pour moi, although it sounds kind of similar.

  • Much, much, much better than last years commercial!!

  • hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbb
