Choreography isn't nearly good as Fosse's original for ''Pajama Game.'' The musical arrangement also falls short. MacLine fans probably know this, but she was a dancer in the show when Carol Haney injured her ankle and Macaine had to sub for her. A Hollywood producer was in the audience and he convínced her to fly out there to film screen tests. She did, and as they say, the rest was history. She bacame a movie star and was lost to Broadway.
Notice how the almost never switch camera angles? Today directors feel the need to switch camers every three seconds. Of course most tv performers can't dance like Shirley but even Glee which has some good dancing should let the performers work harder and the camera switcher work less.
:) she is nothing but amazing!!!! Aww, really many many thanks for uploading this, haven't seen it before. I feel so sorry she stopped to dance and sing. (ok I love her books too, but this was the real kooky Shirley MacLaine!!!!)
